The Sony FX30 | A NEW APSC Cinema Camera??

- According to AlphaRumors.com Sony is coming out with a NEW APSC Cinema Camera THE SONY FX30!! except this time its for APS-C Cameras.. No longer will Sony APSC Camera owners be left out to dry! Who would have thought the day would come when they bring the Cinema Line to the APSC Cameras.. My Guess is that they're moving away from the 6000; Series cameras and the A7Siii and now making all their cinema video focused cameras from the Venice to the APSC FX Style cinema cameras. As well as a NEW ZV camera being announced soon i feel the FX30 will be the high-end video APSC and the new ZV will be the low end content creation camera focusing on photo and video.. doing away with the 6000 series cameras.
*Update Rumors Confirmed its a 26mp Sensor not a 12mp Sensor*

Do these Rumors for the Sony FX30 make you interested in this camera..i know its on APS-c though?

Just came across your video, the FX30 somewhat appeals to me but since I have a A7IV with a 24-70mm G Master Lens that I have set up with a tripod as a Cinema Cam set up, I haven't had a real need for an extra camera, for me the A7IV is a BIG upgrade for me from the smartphone and ZV-E10L with Kit Lens I was using. Since my A7IV sits on a tripod pretty much all the time I haven't had any issues with the wobbly effect when I move it from side to side but I also have it sitting on one of those smooth tripod large heads. It would be cool if sony would send you a review model of the FX30 to get your honest opinion on it. It does look cool though.
Unless you have plenty of apsc lenses already

@@TiberiousGreene I got my zev10 as my second video camera ever and I learned a lot from it and I love it. Being able to get a cinema camera on apsc compact will be great!
Yeah i own the FX3 and if they’re carrying a lot of that over but for apsc! It’s going to be a great upgrade and change the game for you

It may have improvements over fx3 if it’s new sensor stacking tech

A 12mp sensor would be a low light beast!
It definitely is in the FX3 but the FX30 is Apsc so 12 would be a little small I think so 26 sounds like a good spot
@@TiberiousGreene The new GH6MFT is up there as well as the Fuji XT-4. Going with 26MP will work as well i just don't see a need for 26MP if it doesn't shoot stills.
26mp on crop is useless. Its hybrid-video camera, not photo, like fx3 which has 12mp on full frame, we will get so tiny pixel square size with 26mp on crop.

I'd hit it. When I migrated to the FX3 I kept some of my APSC glass.
If it indeed shares a lot with the fx3 it might be a perfect fit for you! But we’ll have to wait for the announcement later this month!

@@TiberiousGreene no doubt. Been waiting to see what Sony does with the next apsc camera and then decide where to go from there. Whether full frame or different brand altogether.
I knew something was up they kept pumping out apsc lenses for what just the E10 had to be something bigger
@@TiberiousGreene exactly. There’s not really any other Sony apsc camera that I’d be interested in right now. They need to come with something strong.
6400&6600 seems to vanish so that’s the only one!! I am guessing the FX30 fir video and a small apsc/zv/A7IV type
I had to laugh at your rolling shutter example. That insane left/right whipping shot you showed from the A7iv represents an unrealistic scenario. In what situation would you ever find yourself whipping your camera rapidly left and right like that for a shot?? Would you ever use such a shot? Of course not. Plus, Catalyst Browse would reduce rolling shutter dramatically if you actually planned for such a shot. Which any rational filmmaker would probably never try.
As far as the FX30 goes, I don't know why anyone still pumps out videos based on rumors. Sure, sonyrumors has a good reputation. But, no one in their right mind would make any decisions based on such rumors. It's better to wait until the camera is actually released before delving into the potential uses of a camera. But, hey, it's easy content when someone else is doing the work for you, like sonyrumors.
Hopefully Sony doesn't cripple the sh*t out of it & overprice it regardless like they always do 🤞🤦
I have a feeling they won’t because it’s already apsc! So it’s not taking away from full frame sales so there would be no purpose too! But we’ll see!!
@@TiberiousGreene Yeah, that all remains to be seen but i never get my hopes up especially with Sony. If only Panasonic would nail that autofocus then we wouldn't be worried about Sony or their sh*t 🥵

@@TiberiousGreene Never said it wasn't. All i meant was most people i know went Sony because of their autofocus. I just ask myself what if Panasonic nailed their autofocus as equally as Sony does. Panasonic would be untouchable 💯🔥
@@TiberiousGreene My GH5S smokes nearly half of all Sony cameras today (videography wise) excluding the A7S3 and their cinema line cameras. The only thing that Sony beats my GH5 is the autofocus which's a damn shame 🤞
