This video has everything: the fashion, the “hey man”, the sharpening of the blade, the detailed explanations, the spunk, the attention to detail, the details about tying off the threads, and just overall excellent, masterful work. I bought a sewing machine to hem some of my pants and remember having a hell of a time. I think I should use some glue in the process to make things easier. Of course, I do prefer the shoe content, but the bag content just shows your amazing talent with a sewing machine among other things. I hate bobbins as well. I think that the patina on the bottom is warranted because of the age of the bag. Brilliant work as usual!
Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the *LUYBAG* book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
Hello Steve 🙋🏽. HAPPY BELATED FATHER'S DAY TO YOU ‼️ IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU TODAY ‼️ I JUST REALIZED I MISS YOUR SHOE REPAIR RECENTLY. BUT I'M STILL GOING TO WATCH IT. HAVE A BLESSED DAY ‼️👍🏽❣️. BEAUTIFUL JOB STEVE 😃
You turned this bag into a beauty again, and it was looking a little beastly before your masterful hands and sharp blade restored it to its former glory! Great work Steve! Lisa
Same here. Good practice for non disposable blades. If you can sharpen these thing blades, you'll have a much easier time getting an edge on thicker blades.
Steve I have never commented before but have been watching from the Uk for a couple years now. I am an ex Royal Navy sailor of 30 years and I’m not in your field of work. I find your videos very interesting and I like your teaching of how your trade should be done. I just wanted to say Thank you for the effort of putting your content out there and I look forward to every video you put out. So again thank you and I wish you good health and a fantastic second half of the year. You are appreciated i. Dominic
As always, great job Steve. Really liked what you did with side panels & finished off the bag superbly. Love seeing vintage bags being restored & giving their owner many more years enjoyment.
I truly am tired, I worked almost big part of today in my garden, exhausted I heard you say this is a Hoochie purse and then looked again, it was Gucci. Anyways. I wouldn't buy either the Louis Putain nor the Hoochie one. But I do like your humor and it relaxes me. cheers!
A classic example of re-thinking a project to preserve its provenance by keeping it as original as possible. A complement to our craftsman and the lady who knows a keeper when she wears one. This second-life bag will go everywhere…
I think the reason why it bothers people that you sharpen your 'disposable blades' is because they're so cheap to them but what they don't realize is that you run a business. You probably go through thousands of blades a year. Now imagine if you didn't sharpen them how many would you actually go through? It makes sense as a business person that a few swipes on a file or sharpening stone to extend the life of a blade, it helps the overall profitability of the business.
I would think there are a couple of reasons. When you sharpen the blade, it is just a bit better than before it was sharpened, but not the dramatic change of a brand new blade. Easier to control the cut. The second reason is that Steve was undoubtedly raised to be frugal and the habit stuck.
I wonder what Steve's effective hourly rate is. I bet he earns more than the cost of a blade in the time it takes to sharpen a blade....although as I type this, maybe it's faster to sharpen a blade than it is to change one.
I just never thought I would sit and watch a video like this but I find myself looking for the next one. I think someone as skilled as you are just makes it interesting whether it's something we thought we would never watch or not. That speaks very high of your skill level. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep watching and waiting on the next one
Hi! It's been a long time since I've watched your videos, for some reason they were not popping up on my notification. It was recommended by YT. Glad I found you again! What an amazing job you did! That[s a whole brand new purse. Such tedious work! Well done!
Steve, when you pulled out that big sharpening stone.. I knew it was coming and I started laughing out loud….😂 Trigger Time!!! It’s been a long, long day man. I needed that. Thank you.
I smile when I see you, my Son-in-Law is from the Lebanon (now living in Australia) and we travel from the U.K. every year to see them. When he sees me, he is obsessed with my leather bags and shoes and wants to know where I get them from - he just loves good leather products - as do I … I particularly love Vintage The Bridge Italian leather bags, I have far too many of them (according to my husband!) - when he starts paying for them, only then can he comment!!!! I do obsessively look after them, always clean, moisturised and polished. I think nothing looks worse than leather shoes that aren’t polished and in good order. Shoes can make or break an outfit. I really love watching you work - many thanks …
Wauw nice job... Yes that spool... normal machines for cloths etc has always such little spools... I hate it too. So before I start a project I make sure I have made a few spools before hand. Because it's making me grumpy when you have to make a new spool. I bought about 30 spools extra for that purpose... lol I am really in shock... I thought you controlled your machines with your mind. Nope just like all of us you use your foot... so disappointed... lol I dont know why people are triggered by you sharpen your blade... I mean... whata wrong with it??? I don't know... It's good for the environment as you can use your blades so much longer. Because of you I am sharpen mine now too... goes a long way now... thank you. You are simply the best... big hugs from Belgium. When did you say you come visiting me???
Hi Steve, thank you for another bag video 😁 it's fascinating to see just how every element is constructed and put together. Much love and respect to you and yours from the UK 😁👍
That’s what I can’t understand- who uses a bag until it gets this bad? I don’t own any Gucci but I do have mulberry, vintage coach, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada Chloe and LV. I would never let any of them get this bad before having them repaired and I keep them all spotlessly clean.
21:10 Agree with you on the plan A. Even though I'm not big on "branded" bags, the value of these comes from the branding itself, so if you replace it with a "copy" of the original, you loose part of it's appeal and originality...
Beautiful work Steve. Those sides will be stronger at the seam line the way you did it. Look like the purse was made that way and it is a one of a kind.
Steve! Well done good sir! You easily added another 20 years life to the bag. Always a red letter day when I see one of your videos pop up! Cheers from (a very hot) Texas!
Steve I am absolutely fascinated by your craftsmanship . It is amazing to me no matter what crap shoes purses jackets anything leather is, thrown at you, you make it beautiful like new. To be honest your CZcams videos are interesting to watch not just because of what you do. It is your commentary and most of all your charm and humor that is the whole package. Not to mention I have to say being a lady myself, you are very easy on the eye. ☺ Cheers from Agi.
Nice result Steve....I agree with "Plan A".....looks good. Love the sharpening "triggering".... I laugh every time 'cause I know "The Voice" comes next. LOL
I change my blades because they are cheap and handy. If they are a long walk away, I make do. Maybe do an episode where you keep changing blades to see if you can trigger the other side of the coin ;)
Oh I was laughing so hard , I was noticing your watch as you started to comment about it. I was thinking hey that is a different one than worn with the Louboutin shoe video You are a master craftsman breathing new life into well loved favorites pieces of clothing and accessories. Cheers
You know that most of the items I work on is just plain practice and practice. My dad didn’t do things like this. The best thing I learned from my dad was “my work ethic”
@@BedosLeatherworksLLC and now you are inspiring others with that work ethic and attitude. some teachers can pass on information almost by osmosis while others want to ram it up your ass on the end of thistle!
I love the sound of your sewing machine, it is so robust. I think I know why you start work so early in the mornings now. It's because your power supplier makes you use it when there is low demand. 😁
Triggerfish still moaning about you sharpening craft knife blades? Always something eh? I liked this video a lot because the viewer sees the decision making progress you go through ever time. The bag looked fine at the end. Goodness knows how many years you added onto the bags ‘life’. Another job well done. Great work. Shine on Steve
So you know those old razor sharpeners that you'd pull a cord on to move the mechanism? Man, imagine if the 'naysayers' saw that kind of a device for these blades. They'd lose their minds. :))

Glue is definitely a secret weapon!
You are a good 'observer' mister!
All we need is hammer time!
I like these videos where he talks openly and explains things.
Beautiful work as usual ... Thx for posting and ''Let's Continue '' ...
I like all your videos, but I really like the elegant solution to the wear on the side gussets in this one, nice work!
Phew! I am so glad you heard me yelling at the screen to add the leather trim! Outstanding job!👍🏼🇨🇦
Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the *LUYBAG* book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
I like how you said the other way of fixing did not speak to you. You chose well. Great job.

Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing. Cheers! 👍🏻🍻😊
Thank you for the explanation on the red rubber sole.
You are a true artisan and an entertainer. Thank you. I quite enjoyed this calming video with my morning coffee
I sharpen my razors all the time to extend their life. Very nice work.
Same here. Good practice for non disposable blades. If you can sharpen these thing blades, you'll have a much easier time getting an edge on thicker blades.
Awsome job and some great ideas. As always much love and God bless.
Steve. Plan A/original plan was definitely the way to go! I love your attention to detail. I learn something new each new video.
Reusing the ends was definitely the best choice.
I think adding the leather to the ends made it look way better than the original.
Another awesome job and Vid!! You are a master Craftsman Sir!!
Another great job Steve.
They say: "Shoemaker without boots", And you have stylish shoes, it's beautiful
Another amazing job! ❤️💚❤️

It’s amazing how you have a really good steady hand when you stitch
Thanks Steve for putting the project cost in text at the intro of every video!!
Great job!I like the way you put that leather on the ends
Love all the blue suede, especially the shoes. oh, I oved the redo on the bag. LOL
Nice watch Steve and a matching belt and blue suede shoes, cool! Nice job the bag !
Gorgeous purse. You do great, Mr. Bedo. It's always a joy to watch your videos. God bless you and your family.
Close run thing but I like bag repairs more than shoes ..... except when it's the other way round. 😆
Nice job !!! Thanks Steve 👏👏👏👏🍺👍🇬🇧

Great job Steve, I'm a fan from the Philippines!
Let's continue 👍
Great job on a really hard worn bag. Good call on the ends of the bag. Looks fantastic!
This low-key makes me wanna buy a purse just to disassemble it!
You are an amazing human being .
Not hard to see why you get compensated as much as you do. Better than new! On all your work.

You did a great job on that Gucci!
Fantastic content 👌 👏 👍
"Plan A" was the best, I love the result, beautiful bag 👍

Great job on this Gucci.
Simply extraordinary execution and CREATIVE fixes too, typical Bedo's!
Amazing work as usual. I love seeing you rescue peoples things.
Some people got to have something to complain about. It doesn't bother me if you sharpen your blades. 👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Bravo! Excellent 💖👍👍
Great work! Prefer the vintage Gucci bag, the metal zipper and cloth lining is nicer.
Hi Steve, thank you for another bag video 😁 it's fascinating to see just how every element is constructed and put together. Much love and respect to you and yours from the UK 😁👍
Another amazing job 👍 it turned out beautifully 😀 👜🥰
I'm glad you choose to go back to the original plan, it looks so much better! ❤❤❤
I have that purse without the green strip. It's over 40 years old and is still in excellent condition.

@@Truth1561 I know, when it was not being used, it is kept in the cloth bag that came with the purse.
Ok I see you Steve! Watch band, belt and shoes matching. The jacket goes perfect with the fit as well. 💪🏾😎
I was super skeptical on those side panels until you put the first one in. Great instinct!
Looks great ❤

Good call on the leather trim on the end gussets. I wholeheartedly approve of thinking a bit out of the box. Great save as usual
It turned out beautifully!! I like the extra leather trim edging on the ends. Great job, thank you for sharing.👜
Talking and using a sharp knife. Genius as far as I'm concerned 🤗😍 and Plan A was right on the money 👍
Beautiful work Steve. Those sides will be stronger at the seam line the way you did it. Look like the purse was made that way and it is a one of a kind.
really lovely work, ends of the bag looked great, very impressed.

Wow, I watched this video. The bag looked like it was ready to be tossed but you made a miracle on it Amazing job. Kudos to you
