This song is so deep and has tons of meaning I cried when I first listened to it
NF is talking about his mom's bf abusing him as a child.
Every song NF does, he references his life.
This whole song is my favorite of NF's and I love pretty much all his music. It's so insanely creative. deep, personal and it's just impossible to not get touched by this one unless you're a complete sociopath. The whole visual of his mind being the mansion is just such a brilliant way to paint this picture of what he's gone and is going through. Great reaction. Besides doing more NF that you absolutely should, I'm going to throw a comedy clip suggestion for you since you watched a lot of Burr. Chris DiStefano - 9/11 story, very different comedian but might appreciate it.
He had no relationship with his mother. When his parents divorced his mom got custody of the kids until it was found out his mom was abusing drugs and her new boyfriend was physically abusing Nate and was starting to abuse one of his sisters. The father took the kids away from her and she was deemed an unfit mother and could only have supervised visits for a time. But she was always dipping out on the kids, never coming to see them, saying she would pick them up then never showing up. So no, he wasn't close to his mother at all
He don't like being compared to EM and his right bc his not the new EM his NF till he dies and in my opinion he is better then Eminem

But if u look what em has done for hiphop and how hes evolved 20 years in the game plus.
Ems song the way I am - i dont think a lot of songs show as much passion as tht.
Having said that Nf is a rare breed where his substance esp regarding mental health is refreshing to hear...
But to match eminems catalogue of music, his word play, flows, double entendres and rhyming schemes I dont think NF is on that tier... but NF is definitely excels with his substance and content..

Add Intro which is actually the first song of The Journey, then this song Mansion, Wake Up, All I Have, are the first few of the un-official NF Journey. You have done some of the heavy lifting with this song and How Can You Leave Us which are the most deep songs of The Journey. The rest is just as impactful and I know you are listening to a lot of his new music right now. That is fine, but mix in some of the early music and you will be on your way. There are many, many good songs to go believe it or not.
NF's moms boyfriend or it was his step father not completely sure physically abused him win he was little. His relationship with his mom was from what I understand being an addict was hit or miss but he still loved her because of the obvious. Don't forget for future reference fear moving into his mansion. I believe the fear moved in when the abuse happened.
It was her boyfriend (Johnny). Nate mentions that name in INTRO 3 also.

Nf and eminem have the same dialect bc they live in the same state/region. Thats where comparisons stop. Other then that they don't sound like eachother at all. No swearing. Different context of music given all around.

Easy to tell them apart, it's in the lyrics and the way the song is presented. both have talent but Nate doesn't use bad language in any of his music...not counting the Moments album, when he realized, he didn't need to.
Eminem and NF don’t have a song together. Although Eminem throws a little shot at NF in one of his songs on the kamikaze album by saying “NF”ing recovery clone of “ME”... meaning Eminem feels like NF is biting his style a little to much. The song is called the ringer and it’s on the album Kamikaze by Eminem, you should give it a listen or do a reaction video to that song. Eminem pretty much disses everyone in that song and it’s worth the listen. NF is super talented tho fersure. Again another great reaction from you. 👍🏻🙏🏻✌🏻

Ya you are right nf has a OK relationship with his mother
but it was his mother boyfriend who would get drunk and physically abused nf and his sister when thay where younger and that why thay where taken away from her and went to live with his dad and his grandparents
Also if you are doing the full nf journey its about 47 song long it goes across his 4 albums and his singles it all about his child and life and how he deals with the things that went on in his life but all of his song link together so don't skip ahead on the list or you will miss alot of thing he says and the things in his videos that relates to previous songs the further you go down the list
