Ansbach Scythe - Obsidian Lamina feels like the only weapon in the DLC that isn't bugged, and fairly honest, without the patch 1.12 hyper armour buff, it would have been awful. Rakshasa Katana next! Scythes still the coolest weapons?

Honestly it is awful as is, its a defensive weapon with no pressuring attack in its moveset to force them to pressure back. Its stamina cost for the l2 negates using it frequently and so becomes telegraphed. The recovery frames at eqch step are so long it either can guarantee you get punished, or that even eith successful hit, then y have time to roll and flask after, the hits dont true combo despite the middling damage, and the animation for the three hits are so long that you are guaranteed to get knocked out if you want to invade. Additionally you can get hitstunned out of your own combo by your target in the middle of it if they just use r1.
Its trash tier, lazy untested and unbalanced work by fromsoft (yet again)

I have thought the same thing about the spread crossbow. well, I implore you to copy his build, as I once did for another, and be summarily smacked in the mouth with reality. Even with these powerful weapons, winning 3v1 invasions is incredibly hard. it's only going to one-shot someone with 20 vigor, and most everyone you invade will have 50-60. so best of luck

Run it with Ansbach furious blade and bloodflame talon, use the war ash then on the back step follow it with Ansbach furious blade then combo into bloodflame talons and use the war ash to dodge and counter then repeat. Shit goes crazy.
Ansbach is just a male version of Yuria from DS3 but with Sister Friede's scythe lol

Actually this one also has a bug. You can change its ash of war followup by first using different ashes of war that are new.

@@DiRT_BAG_CALi Honestly no, so the PvP at higher levels tends to be a spell spam/L2 game, if you want a more enjoyable time then I'd suggest playing at like 150/200, but if you want a more skillful/honest fights that'll make you better then 125/139, but honestly max level is still fine, it's just a lot more annoying 😂
@NerfLordMykie noooo, I was meaning weapon level lol I have 500 hours on 1 character and have stated 150 the whole time. My game is always on in the background while im chillin/doing things, so I'm still rather shit at the game 😂 only have 1 somber dragon stone, and wasnt sure what to use it on. This weapon doesn't seem like the right choice tho 🤔
@@DiRT_BAG_CALi Ermm it's probably not worth it to waste your last somber, but if you've got someone to trade with, make a back up of your save, turn off the auto uploads, upgrade weapon, trade it to someone, download your save again and get the weapon dropped back to you. That's what I used to do.

@@MrJango555 sorry I should have probably shown the bow build after, for the bow build I just took my faith to 25 for the buffs, then 60 vigor, 30 end then maxed out dex.
Bit late but if you wear the full ansback set the aow does tons more damage
@@Radagon123 Yeah I played about with it first as a more arcane focused build, I didn't use the ash much in the end, only really for memes because it's pretty and fancy!

Honestly I get it, it's very hard to stay enjoying spamden ring, especially with the last 2 patches. Just practise and dying a lot though I guess 😂 also always have something broken on a hard swap yourself to deal with them.
