My unpopular opinion: Modern day Pen takers like Jorginho and Bruno Fernandes cannot take pressure penalties. For example Jorginho in the Euros final and carabao final against City and Bruno against Villa and arsenal feel free to reply with your opinion
It's experience needed and confidence i don't think anyone will attempt a pankha in a wc final for years because they are not confident
Thatâs the whole reason Why Fernandes was so good last year. Because there was no fans. With fans heâs half the player
Tf you are everywhere lmao
@@Zpice hahaha
Nah I think it's just that the style of penalty they do is largely being found out
my unpopular opinon: jurgen's work at liverpool is more impressive than pep's at man city
Honestly, as a city fan, I can back that: Guardiola just bought amazing players and fit them into his team (like he is about to do with Haaland), but Klopp actually builds players like he did with Salah, Van Dijk, Mane, et cetera.
@@yma7gaming357 True but itâs not a situation where pep just buys the best players to improve the team, he also builds and improves players for example cancelo and bernardo silva became much better players at city than their previous teams.
@@izsupreme1399 Yea that's true
This isnt an unpopular opinion its facts
Hows that an unpopular opinion?
Unpopular opnion: Hansi flick is a world class manager. He was so good with bayern and took a team that was failing under kovac at the start of the season to winning the treble (ucl, Dfb pokal and bundesliga) after taking over midseason and made bayern into a winning machine and since his departure bayern havent been as good.
100% agree with you
I don't think this is unpopular. Everyone knows how good he was with Munich, and now he's the German national team coach, peoples' expectations for Germany's World Cup have gone from "going out in round of sixteen" to "might win it again". People know how good he is!
Thatâs not really unpopular though
How is this unpopular opinion?
How is this unpopular?
You should not call a group of players a golden generation until they actually bring some gold back home
Disagree, this past generation is easily Belgium's golden generation for example, but that doesn't make them the best national team in the world.
Nah
It depends from country to country, Croatia's golden generation reached the WC final, and that's more impressive than if England reach it now just because of the size of Croatia
Like our Bosnian golden generation only reached the group stages of the WC, we did get robbed but still reaching groups for many nations means nothing
depends on who you're talking about I guess...
*goes to cave in Indonesian*
Bulgarians were in semifinals in 1994 World Cup. And they didn't even came close to that never before and never after. I think they can call this team their own Golden Generation
@hfc I'm French yeah. Maybe it's just a me-thing, but I refer to a country's best generation as... well their best generation. Sure that's not fancy but that's how I roll.
I'm also part-mauritian, so when referring to the only time Mauritius was at the AFCON, I call it their best generation.
I completely understand that I'm in the minority here. But, the video is about unpopular opinions
The not being able to support a club you arent from the local area of one is so dumb I am from Northern Ireland and support Liverpool with my full heart like one of the best experiences in my life was the only match i attended at afield was an unimportant (according to points) league match against watford with joe allen and firmino scoring and my top 2 uni choices are both liverpool largely due to liverpool fc but I do have a friend who neither parents really watched football i dont think so he supported Liverpool because most of his friends do but when he got older he decided not to because it wasnt the right reason to support them now upports wolves for some reason idk
Most people are fine with people from other countries/ parts of the UK (maybe apart from Scotland since they have an established league system) supporting a team of their choice. However, itâs not ok when a person in England and a person that lives near a local team supports a big and successful team without any relation (e.g. family support) to the team before that. The argument is also against people changing their team, like your friend who should not change their team from LFC to Wolves
@hfc yeah i get missing out due to not being local but my whole family go mental for most liverpool goals and trophy lifts would love to go to a parade and I love here in Northern Ireland that i know and see people who support any of the top 6 everyday and a few who support other clubs and ttp out of them for their club to their face is so fun football banter is still class despite not being in a local clubs area
I knew I was going to England/Scotland for uni and didnt want to go to london and had a list of like 10/15 courses 2 of which were in Liverpool and would have been happy going to any of the 15 but my mum said if i go Liverpool she will buy me a club membership and that just kind of tipped it
@@owood6512 Are you expecting people to pick Watford over United just cause theyâre born closer to Warford? That sounds weird to me. Everyone has their reasons why they support who they support. Only supporting a team because of geography or where youâre born is stupid
My take is if you support a team in a different country, you have to support a local club as well.
@@americaninsurgent4403 also family relation? couldn't YOU start that family relation to liverpool by starting to support liverpool or any team for that matter, you aren't bound by your parents choices.
Also, the notion of system player is that it means he is a player that is only good under a specific system. You put him on another team, or the coach changes and he doesn't look nearly as good.
Not saying TAA is a system player. I think that term comes from the American fans
lmao is system player meant to be some sorta insult?, cah that's literally just saying they work well and perform well under their current system how's it not a complement đ
@@jaq9819 The insult comes from the idea that a truly good player can fit in multiple systems, not just one. Thus, a system player is seen as a "pretend" good player.
At least that's what I gathered from those who use the term in both Football and Basketball
@@lucaslonchampt613 Ahhh, Thanks for Explaining
@@lucaslonchampt613 surely that can be flipped though? Oh he only plays well in one position? How does any other player perform in that position? No oneâs close to his level? Guess itâs called the Trent Alexander-Arnold role now. Similar to how a certain type of defence mid is known as the Makelele role.
@@Stephen_Platt I do agree with that. To me there's several ways to determine how good a player is, and just because a player is only good in one role doesn't mean they are not good
Marco Reus is one of the most iconic midfielders of his generation.
England are overhyped so much that theyâre actually underrated

what?
The English media says that England will win the World Cup every year even when we have a rubbish squad so people now just dismiss England as rubbish even though we have a good team now

Unpopular opinion: ligue 1 more competetive than Bundesliga.
2017: Monaco Champion, 2021: Lille
When a team wins the league title 10 times in a row it is in no way competitive, may as well give Bayern the title at the start of the season
@@jackfinn144 No, you missed the point. PSG havenÂŽt won 10 times in a row, But Bayern have and also Juventus if I am not mistaken.
@@bigpunisher9366 Juve had 9
@@skoczek777 Well ok. PSG had 5 in a row. 2012 to 2016. My point stands correct.
@@bigpunisher9366 yh Iâm agreeing with you
I agree with most of your responses tbh, the Muller-Neymar thing kinda depends on what you mean with 'football legacy'. Sure, Muller has won the world cup and has scored a lot of goals during world cups, but he won't be remembered as a better player. The Haaland thing is true as well, the things he has done at such a young age are incredible, however I don't think he's immune to flopping in a better league.
Isaiah Jones had had a more impressive season than DJed Spence. Jones has had loads more assists while staying as solid defensively and he came out of absolutely nowhere, while Spence was a talent at Middlesbrough for two years before he cut out the mistakes in his game at forest.
This isn't even a debate jones is so overrated and everyone should get spence (it's a joke)
Spence is overrated af
When a 0-0 would bring 0 points, all teams would just get 1 goal each at the beginning. So itâs for sure from the beginning that u get min 1 point.
Bale could have been number three behind messi and sui, if it wasn't for injuries and lack of motivation.
Speed
It would have been if real Madrid weren't what they were as fans and actually appreciate him
7:11
Mark has a point there... 5 teams in the last 6-7 years alone have been more impressive and exciting to watch than the invincibles (at this point we've all heard more than enough times from arsenal fans that it's become boring, that arsenal never lost that season)
Man city 18/19
Liverpool 18/19 (tightest title race since 11/12)
Man city 17/18 (centurions)
Liverpool 19/20 (liverpool end 30 year wait)
Chelsea 16/17 (3 at back and won with moses as a starter)
These teams were just on another level compared to that arsenal side. You could even pick man u/man city 11/12 or even mourinho's 1st chelsea side and they've still feature ahead of that arsenal side.
Arguably suarez has had a much longer peak than r9. But... history might not look kindly on him when compared to the likes of lewa and benzema and young stars like haaland and mbappe who have at least another 10-15 years left in their careers at the top level.
Messi underperforming opinion i can understand the view but totally disagree with the argument, he has worked as hard as he could over the years but barca's capitulation in the ucl in recent years is on his teammates, not him.
Leicester 2015/16?
David Luis should have been moved to CDM two years ago, he could still be playing for Arsenal if so.

Harry maguire
This actually makes sense as he wasent really a proper cb and was more of a cdm
If he moved to cdm when he was at Chelsea he would still be there
I understand that you canât support 2 teams in the same league but me personally it shouldnât be a problem if they are from different leagues
Yaya Toure would have gone on to possibly have been one of the best prem midfielders ever if Pep hadn't of sidelined him.
Unpopular opinion: the Chelsea team that won the league in 2004/2005 is a better team than The invincibles (Arsenal 2003/2004).
that bruno one was shocking
Prime Salah vs Prime Hazard is no debate. People were talking about Hazard as the third best in the world, at a time when Ronaldo and Messi were still in their Prime. No one gave a shit about Salah when Hazard was still in the prem.
I love hazard, my favourite player off all time, and I personally believe that he and Salah are the two best premier league wingers off all time, but we can't say people didn't give a shit about salah when he was in the prem, because Salah won the premier leauge golden boot in the 17/18 season, in his first season and he was without a doubt the best player in the league that season. On the other hand, the season after hazard was the best player in the league imo, with over 30 goal contributions in that season, his prime. So the two seasons they where in the league together, other than salahs Chelsea days which I don't think anyone counts, they both had their individual best seasons.
Facts
Saying that no one cared about Salah in 17/18 (when he scored 32 league goals and made a CL final) is actually mental
I supported man united since I was 7 because I liked the colour red, and I thought the devil looked cool.
Unpopular opinion: Trent is not a defender. Heâs a box to box winger playing at RB and being praised as the best in the world in defence purely cus of the team heâs in. His defending is god awful

Footballers now are much better technically now than that they were in the 80s and 90s. Look back at those games and you'll see that everything was much slower back then. Everything is much more efficiently done now.
I support two clubs - Sydney FC, my local, and go to games, keep up with news etc, and also Chelsea who I wake up to watch their games and who Iâve supported my whole life. Idk why I have, but Iâm very passionate about both
My unpopular opinion: womens football **SHOULD NOT** push the equal pay theory and stop comparing their sports into the Mens and should rather focus on the development. I think itâs absurd and annoying that women have to compare themselves to the men when quite literally clearly you can see you can see a big margin between men and womens football. I also think that they should drop the equal pay theory for a few years until it grows to a bigger sport. Whatâs even bizarre is how they want equal pay but they are the same women who woefully lost to YOUTH ACADEMY teams. The USWNT losing to Dallas FC U15, Germanys womenâs losing to Stuttgartâs academy, the Australian National team losing 7-0 to Melbourne Cityâs U16. If womens football was to get equal pay then what about the youth academy boys that managed to demolish players like Alex Morgan, Rapinoe and even Sam Kerr. They also need to understand that itâs not based on gender (note: gender has NOTHING to do with sports) itâs more based off the revenue teams get. Long story short, if youâre good you get paid more
The uswnt is the only one who should even have a say in equal pay. As far as the sport as whole theyâre so far behind. Forget the pay and focus on development. Mens first World Cup was in 1930 and the womens first World Cup was in the 90s. Look at the huge gap. I doubt the men players in 60s are making more than the women today. Women football is so young

For me with the canât support 2 Teams it really really depends. An example is that my cousin plays rugby league and swapped teams Ik that is the very small majority for most people bc they donât have professional sportsmen as relatives but you think that when they leave you still support the same club but it is so hard to especially at younger ages
I actually understand the Messi point, later on in his career heâs created so many chances and has dominated the field so well, yet heâs been surrounded by poor finishers and a subpar team at best (2019-2021 Barca) An example is the 18/19 ucl, Messi was on fire and was one of his best ucl performances to date, he carried Barca in the first leg vs Liverpool and even himself did well in the second leg, yet Barca itself as a team played shit, so i think itâs a fair point.
I think that you can support 2 teams in some cases. For example i support my Sunday league team, and a proffesional team in my country. And also I "support" teams that have players from my proffesional team(so I root for them rather then these clubs) because my team isnt really that much in the UCL or UEL finals
My unpopular opinion: this current Liverpool team will go down as the biggest underachievers in football history due to the quality of their squad and manager. We hear constantly from media and fans how Liverpool currently have the best team and manager in the world yet have only achieved 1 Premier league and 1 champions league, along with 0 fa cups. It would be an embarrassment if Liverpool only win 1 Cup this season.
They're not even the best team of the last 5 years and could win the quadruple this season
My unpopular opinion that should be a fact: Chelsea was not better than 2009 Barca, Barca played really bad for one game, and now people are saying that 2009 Chelsea are better. Remember Chelsea finished 3rd in the prem that year, and guess who was first? The team that Barca dominated on neutral terf: Man U. They left no room for error for United, and utterly dominated them 2-0.
Why do people remember Neymar at Santos but not Hazard at Lille???
I am from the Netherlands and I have been fan of Arsenal since 2005 due to Bergkamp. I am 25 now x)
Anthony Elanga isn't better than Daniel James. Only difference between them is one is from the Man Utd academy so gets viewed in preferential light
The supporter outside of England thing really annoys me. I live in Australia and Iâve been supporting man united since I was 5 and just cause Iâm not from England I Canât be a fan đ€Šââïž. How can people outside England physically attend games .
From Australia too (as you can tell) but born and lived 8 years in England. Itâs a really tough one tbh, because the connection between the club and the fan just isnât there. Just choosing to support one of the best teams feels like âcheatingâ to me. Like if Man U win the league (big if), it would be weird, in my eyes, to see all the Australians get excited despite contributing nothing to the revenue and having no/limited interaction with the fan base.
The point of a football club was to represent an area, Man United was the football team of Manchester and supporting was almost patriotic. But now its just a popularity contest. If Japan was doing well in the olympics, you wouldnât just âbecome a Japan fanâ.
And thats where the debate lies. Is supporting Man U and supporting Japan that different. I donât have an answer, I just see both sides
@@dustinmartin6524 So Liverpool can have a player from Senegal and a player from Egypt but they're not supposed to have fans from Senegal or Egypt?
If clubs represented a certain area, they would only select players from that area. You know, like national teams do.
@@cs4155 Well there lies the argument, players vs teams.
On one hand, your 100% right. Football is the most diverse and world wide sport in the world. Stating that the biggest league in the most worldwide sport can be only followed if you have lived there is stupid. Football is for everyone, thatâs part of the reason itâs so great
On the other hand, you support teams not players. It doesnât matter where Liverpools players are from because you arenât supporting the players, but the team. Supporting Liverpool is not about the individual players, itâs about the area. Itâs why we have Derbys, away days, home ground advantage etc. There is an undeniable link to geography and football teams.
I donât have an opinion either way. I will say part of the reason the Australian league is so shit is how many people support teams in England. Abroad fans has been a major contributor to the killing of competition in football, but that was probably inevitable anyway. Itâs kinda a catch 22; Fans will only want to support their local leagues if the quality improves m, but the quality can only improve if their are more fans.
â@@dustinmartin6524 The argument is not players vs teams. The argument is clubs vs national teams.
National teams _do_ represent an area and its people. Their fans should therefore be exclusively from the area they're representing. A club on the other hand is just a business. It doesn't represent anyone. Its owners can be foreigners. Its players can be foreigners. Its staff members can be foreigners. Its founders can be foreigners. And most importantly its fans can be foreigners.

Jordan Pickford is the most underrated GK in the world. I hate how when the argument of the England #1, people completely ignore his achievements with Everton. They instead try to say he's explosive in an England jersey, when he's actually pulling off the same performances for Everton. It comes down to the point that, unless it's their team playing us or it's the Merseyside Derby or a Manchester team, nobody really keeps an eye on Everton. So that when they check in a month's time and see our league standing, and write us and the players off as shit. That's wrong. Every single one of these players want to keep this club up. omg i missed match attack card
I was a Liverpool fan as a kid cos I loved Fernando Torres. Support Preston North End now but still massive soft spot for Liverpool and wound describe one of our strikers as a âChampionship Torresâ
For people like me from small countries most suport one team at home and one in europe
An another banger
Chelseaâs achievements donât get enough respect!
Part 2 pls
My unpopular opinion. Portsmouth would still be a premier league team if they didn't suffer the problems they had back in the late 2000s 2010s not a top half team but a stable premier league side
If Thomas Tuchel joined Chelsea at the start of 20/21 season he wins the league.
arsenal fan but im Jamaican never been to a arsenal game
Can u do a video about fellaini a really forgotten football player
Unpopular opinion: Virgil Van Dijk is overrated he is a good defender but I do think people and Liverpool fans do overrate him so much
Unpopular opinion: mount was top 5 cams itw this season
My unpopular opinion: I think that Ralf ranrick has done a good job to man United because he inherited a bad Man U side
4:13 The prem tax here i guess... If a player is good in like the Bundesliga he costs about 40 milion. If a player had 1 good season in the prem and is Englisch, he costs 120 milion
I don't understand how people think you can't support a club if you're not from that area because I'm from donegal ireland my granda moved from Ireland to Manchester when he was 16 in 1963 supported man utd because of George best and that my dad was born in Manchester lived there for over 35 years but somehow I can't be a utd fan
I wonder what the Haaland guy is thinking now
