I never thought I would ever spend $100+ on a palette, but after going through the most difficult few years of my life, and getting a very good job, I decided to treated myself. I am glad there are dupes for people who don't want to spend that much money on makeup.

If it is the same packaging as Bad Habit, then the pans should be magnetic so you can move them around and put them in the same arrangement as the Natasha Denona one.
I really like these kind of videos. I am on a tight budget and there is no way I am spending 129 on one palette. I only buy high end when it on sale. I picked up Born to Run for 50% off today. I am definitely going to pick up the Goddess palette the colors are beautiful. I may pick up the other one later. Colorpop has a nice sale going on this weekend and their palettes have had such good views.
Love the Goddess Palette is definitely more user friendly. I too like a matte that blends out easily and I that I can build up if necessary. I like shimmers that go on without effort. The colors are similar enough. I love the Temptress Palette so I know I'll love the formula of the Goddess Palette. Excellent review. Thanks so much Jen. Blessings!
I love alter ego! I have 2 of their palettes and they are superb quality. I reach for them more than my colourpop palettes
I use my MAC 242 and have zero trouble picking up the sparkly shades. All of my MAC brushes work beautifully with my ND palettes. Most of my Sigma brushes do, too. Oh, the MAC 239 works well, too, but don’t dig into the shadows or you could pick up too much. I hope this was helpful! 🤗✌🏻Oh, and I forgot to add that if your eyeshadow primer is too wet, it will be very difficult to blend out the ND shadows. I’m awfully sorry I didn’t say this before! I hope Alter Ego does a dupe of the Sunrise palette because that one is making me drool. If I was going to drop that kind of case on a palette, it might be Sunrise when it's available...
The sunrise palette is $65 not as much as her other ones but still expensive.

It's a beautiful palette but just sooo expensive and I think most people who are just consumers and not makeup artists/professionals wouldn't really be able to tell the difference between that and some mid-range brands like ABH or Too Faced.

Thank you so much for making this video! I love the color scheme of ND Gold but I would rather use that money toward skincare or health insurance than a darn makeup item. And I know I would never use up that big of a palette, don’t have 10 eyes, so there’s that.

Hey Jen! I love the close-ups during application, it was so crisp and clear and easy to see! On a side note, you have amazing skin for someone in their 40's, during the close-up shots even without foundation it looks so smooth and wrinkle-free! What are your secrets?

Glad I'm not the only one to notice that some of the ND Gold shades are so hardly packed that they're hard to pick up. It's tempting to get the Alter Ego one so I don't have to fight the formula.

I bought the ND Gold palette and felt so awful about spending so much, that I sold it. lol- I don’t mind spending $$$ on skin care and some shadows. I love Tom Ford wet/dry shadows because they have such a beautiful sophisticated finish..but I don’t get them unless they’re on sale. No regrets with those. I do find the really large eyeshadow palettes to be a bit overwhelming. I love them, but for some crazy reason, I get overwhelmed with so many choices in front of me... probably my ADD! Lol

Jen, I love variations of green on you! Olive, to grayish greens...they all seem to look good on you. Not that it should, but the gold complements your hair color and I feel like it makes the green, pop.
Years ago, Clinique made a single color called, 'Olive Gold". It was my one and only, until discontinued. These emerald shades get my wheels turning. 🤔

I just received my Goddess in the mail tonight (wrk swing) so cant play but in Am its on!! I have the temptress palette and I Love it. I use it about twice a week (I try and rotate palettes) I just hope I can get inspired enough to get few looks outtake this palette. I'm far from an expert

@@JenPhelps This definitely did not disappoint. Now I have something else to add to my birthday wishlist! So far, it seems like these palettes are on par with Bad Habit, which I've been missing terribly. I never got to pick up the Divine palette, and I lost my Athena palette before I even got to use it! Luckily, I have a few other Bad Habit palettes to play with, but I've been bummed about Divine & Athena. I'm going to send the link of the Goddess palette to my boyfriend as a hint. ;)

I think that if you mix a touch of the metallic teal green shade in with the gold shade, you will approximate that Brass color. ~Anastacia in Cleveland

I’ve been looking at the Gold palette since it came out and I’ve wanted it so bad. I almost bought it during the VIB sale also but couldn’t bring myself to do it. This is the second review I’ve watched comparing the two and I just bought the Goddess palette. Natasha Denona probably isn’t too happy with this dupe and I get that. But I, on the other hand, am very happy that I can get this palette I’ve been wanting for months at a much cheaper price. Also, I just got the ND mini nudes palette and had trouble blending one of the matte shades. And I was thinking as I was blending it how I like it better when mattes go on sheer and can be built up rather than getting intense pigment right off the bat. So I’m very happy I ordered the dupe and I can’t wait to get it.
I feel the exact same way with mattes! When it comes to shimmers I like them to be strong and pigmented right away but mattes that build up are easier to blend for sure! Enjoy the Goddess palette! ♥️♥️♥️

Was super excited for this review. I am going to buy the Goddess palette now. The only shade I'm sorry to see not looking the same is that greenish shimmer shade that u swatched in the middle. Leslie Myszka the Juvia’s Place Tribe palette and Colourpop singles each have a lovely light gold to green shade that is comparable (not a strict dupe) FYI
You may be able to mix a bit of the metallic teal green shade with the gold shade to dupe the Brass shade. HTH! ~Anastacia in Cleveland
