The Alter Ego seemed to blend a lot easier. I prefer to slowly build up my shadows to get the intended color intensity. Hoping Alter Ego will dupe more ND palettes and possibly Pat McGrath as well. Great comparison. Thanks Jen. Blessings!
ND shadows are just too expensive. Yes, formula is amazing but no powder can be justified to cost $129
the quasiminimalist I agree and disagree. If you break the shadows down per ounce the are actually cheaper than some other high end shadows. Itâs just a huge cost at once. I would prefer if they stick with the smaller pan sizes so we are either getting a smaller price point or more shadows for the money.
I have a couple natasha denona palettes (yes i know... -_-) and i can attest... they're not worth as much as they charge for sure.
@@cwales688 yeah they are cheaper if you use up all of the shadows. I do project pan and I can attest that eyeshadows are hard to empty. With the influx of new products, I'm pretty sure a new "I need that" palette will come out before I use up the whole ND palette.
Unless that powder is an illicit drug thereâs no way itâs worth it

When i 1st saw the Sahara palette i was disappointed as I was waiting for the Biba dupe, but after sseing your swatches abd wsthing this video, you right! The background colour that threw me off, totally getting myself the Sahara palette.

ND palettes are waaayyyy too expensive for my taste. Beautiful but expensive. Speaking of beautiful palettes.... I ordered the Zoeva Melody palette and WOW! Itâs amazing! I believe alter ego formula is better than C color
I have not tried Alter ego but my ccolor doesnât last as long and it has to be build up, I gave my palettes away. Iâm thinking of trying the Alter Ego tho after watching Jen.
You can buy two Alter Ego pallets and still save major money.

I just really really wish they would start shipping outside US. I`m in Europe and recently they`ve been sending palettes to a lot of European beauty channels, so clearly they can. They say on their website they`re working on it, but it says that since they launched. Fingers crossed it`s happening soon. đ€ đ€ đ€

I've watched a couple of other videos this morning comparing these 2 palettes and yours is the first video that mentioned the different textures in these two palettes. Of course others mentioned mattes and shimmers but no one mentioned the cream to powder.texture. I do have one Alter Ego palette that I love, but I'm really not interested in this palette in general. I've got plenty of neutral palettes that can give me the same looks as these ones could. Just good to know there is an affordable option.

I have had my eye on the Goddess palette, it's really nice but it seems a lot of the shades are similar and it might be a touch warm. Now I am looking at this one, wondering if this might be a better choice. But there are a lot of warm shades in here too, arrghh! Can't decide if I want one, both or neither! Still, your video is very helpful even though my indecisive self isn't helping.

I'm gonna get Sahara for sure as I own 1 Denona and that's the Gold palette. I already owned the goddess palette and loved it so much I wanted to see if Denona was really better. Nope. Sorry but can't agree with that. ND in my personal opinion is superior in formula / blending / how they hold up . Yes it's great that there is an affordable dupe but THEY ARE NOT the same . Or at least not to me.
@@angiec8784 Angela , like I mentioned in the previous upper comm I think it is great there is a dupe and it is for every pocket I would say it all goes down to personal preference. In my opinion the ND is far superior. Not trying to be a snob just that ND has a couple of palettes to choose from and if you find one that is your alley that it i definetly worth the splurge. Whatever you decide on I'm sure you'll love it.

I want a dupe for Biba because I had to return TWO defective palettes. In both the âspotâ black shade had shrunk and was loose in the pan and in one another shade came shattered.

Hi, Jen. This is a beautiful palette but the colors are too warm for me. I prefer and look much better in cooler colors though I can wear some warms, so I will have to skip this one. I think the Natasha Denona packaging looks cheap. And $129 for eye shadows? No way.
I bought the dupe pallets by alter ego and they're never as good as the original especially in formula. It's a pass for me

That is just my lack of skill. Eyeshadow application isn't my strong suit but I still wanted to show a comparison of how they apply to the eyes. Sorry! đ
