- Our 9-month Ultimate World Cruise today takes us to Guatemala to see the wonderful city of Antigua! It’s a charming little town where we made our own chocolate and learned about Mayan Jade! We had an amazing time at this surprise stop.

Guatemala has the best coffee, Ron , Chocolate, Cardamomo etc 😋 and climate 👌🏽
It was wonderful!
I enjoy your shows so much that I am watching them for the second time.
🥰
Volcanoes looked amazing
They were. Thanks for watching
What a great stop. Seeing a volcano with smoke coming out must have been a lot of fun. The chocolate stop and the history of jade mining/jewelry making was very interesting as well.
Agree that was a wonderful surprise I really wasn't looking forward to the Jade Museum and it ended up being one of my favorite stops. Really shows to not judge a book by its cover or maybe it's table of contents. 😀
Wow, Guatamala and volcanoes and chocolate, can't be beat!! I'm living my best life thru the both of you! A 🌹 for Nancy and a big hug to Mike for your excellent commentary. You both make dreaming so easy.😃Safe travels, looking forward to more!!👏👏👏👏👏🫂❤️
Thanks so much
Loved this video of Guatemala! Looks like it was a delightful day.
It really was!
I am really enjoying watching your adventure! Thanks for your updates I look forward to every one!
Thanks for watching!
I stopped in Antigua on a trip to the Panama Canal once, and that has got to be one of my favorite places to visit because of its beauty and its charm and there was a big festival going on in the square with all kinds of vendors and food, and it just really added a lot to the atmosphere
So fun! Glad you had a great time and we did as well.
Wow that was so interesting about the jade I thought it only came green, lovely earring’s
Nancy here, and I thought Jade was only green as well. I learned a lot about this beautiful stone.
Amazing and unstoppable, just like you guys on your WORLD CRUISE! I had no idea jade came in purple! Pretty earrings 🎉
Enjoying your trip so much! Thank you for sharing!!! 🎉❤
We didn’t know that either until we learned. Thanks so much for following along on our journey.
Haha! The face of the woman across from you drinking the hot chocolate. I don't think she would have agreed with you about it being good, but I think I would have! And I've never seen anything like that jade processing factory. How cool! I've never seen purple jade before and I looked it up. If you believe in the energetic properties of stones, purple jade is supposed to help you "relax into the flow of life", recharge energy, and guard against illness! Seems perfect!
Interesting! I’m not sure that I believe in the healing factors but hey, maybe I need to wear them more often for good measure!😀
@@livingphase2 can't hurt right? :)
What a beautiful stop on your cruise! Back in 1988 I was lucky enough to visit the Big Island of Hawaii when the volcano was erupting! We flew over the erupting volcano on a helicopter tour. We could feel the heat through the windows! Got to see all the steam it was creating when the lava was entering the ocean. One of the most spectacular things I have ever experienced. We then got out of the helicopter and walked on the lava fields. Back then, there wasn't anyone to stop spectators from visiting the hot lava. Luckily nothing happened to us. My husband's undergrad degree is in Geology. He would love the Jade. We have rocks he has collected all over the house on every windowsill!
That all sounds wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. We appreciated hearing them!
"We all got to take the chocolate that we made back home."
That was cute. =). The ship is "home".
Yes! When we returned to the ship, we say we’re back home again.😀
Purple jade! That is lovely. I am itching to go on a trip!!
It was a lot of fun.
I have a countdown going but they always seem to start slowing down six or so months out from our next big thing. Thank you for sharing your fun! @@livingphase2
You guys do an excellent job!! As a retired travel agent this information that you provide is so essential for tourists and working travel agents! I have learned so much. Keep up the good work!!
Our pleasure!
Guatemala put it in my budget list.
Impressive the volcano.
Didn't know that jade come in other colors than green.
Thankyou for the Information.
Our pleasure!
It sounds like a wonderful, immersive tour. I personally love interactive opportunities like the chocolate making. You two look fabulously happy!
Thank you so much!
Another wonderful presentation. The people at the chocolate factory really went above and beyond to get you the chocolate you made. Love your earrings. Purple is my favorite stone color. Jade is very interesting. It comes in a multitude of colors. I did not know Jade was also in Mexico, I was only familiar with Jade carvings and Jade from China. Once again learned a new thing. Stay safe.
You know, we learned a lot as well. It was a great day.😀
Due to health issues, I would never be able to go on a world cruise. Living this trip thru you is enjoyable.
Thank you so much for following along on our journey with us.🥰
Chocolate and jewelry, two of my favorite things! Thank you for this very informative vlog. I appreciate you giving detailed information about what you are doing, instead of just showing it. As a former teacher, I give you an A+! Happy travels.
Thanks a lot for the A+ that means a lot. Our daughter-in-law is a teacher as well, so God bless you. We have so much respect for teachers!
The Jade factory story was so interesting! Thank you for sharing. Guatamala looks lovely and that was a cute pic of you both in front of the Guatamala sign. I have never heard of that type of rum before, so I'm going to give it a try. I only buy rum at home at the holidays for hot buttered's mostly. But I appreciate all the tips you both shared. Fun I'm going to watch your Cabo segment next because I was there back in January! All the best to you both!
Glad you enjoyed it. I bet it's a Zacapa rum will make some really good hot buttered drinks. Yep Cabos coming up shortly and we had a great time with friends there.
I would have been scared seeing a volcano with the cloud of smoke going up in the sky…you just never know when it is going to explode….
It was beautiful though 😍
Really loved Antigua when it was a stop on my Panama Canal cruise. Definitely a place I would like to revisit.
It was a nice city
The statues in the cathedral were amazing ! Did you get pics of them for your shorts ?! Now you can add homade chocolate to your catering menu . Love it .. have fun !!
Not sure if I'll have a short with that in it or not. But thanks a lot for watching and the wonderful comment
What an interesting day. I’m enjoying traveling along with you vicariously.
Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing! I learned that jade comes in different colors, and I would have purchased the purple color too, beautiful earrings 😇
You are so welcome! That's something we learned too
The chocolate history is super amazing. I did a trip to the plantations in Mexico once in the 90s and learned about the history of the aztecan chocolate. It was really amazing to learn that it was once a currency because it was so valuable. Would you come back to Guatemala?
Thanks for watching. Guatemala was quite beautiful. We're not sure however with so many bucket list items now that get added and so many amazing places we've been if we'd specifically come back there or not but if a cruise ship stop there we certainly would not be disappointed
Another fantastic video! I feel like I am watching a National Geographic video with everything I am learning! Once again your wonderful attitude about the changes is so refreshing! You guys are so great about rolling with the punches! Nancy - I really like your hat. I am sure you may have said, but would you please share where you purchased it? It looks like it can be tightened. Thanks for another incredible video!
Thank you so much. I bought it a couple years ago at Costco.
Going to have to try that rum.
It's my new favorite
Great job again - Looking forward to more :)
Thanks! More to come!
Now your getting into areas Ive been..................the poverty was sad though.I remember all the beautiful churches well in Guatemala. I scuba dived ( or is it dove) in Cabo for years but it became dangerous in the 60s! Now its quite the resort!
It is really quite developed now I'm sure we'll be back there as close as it is
WOW very Interesting
Thanks for watching
Sounds like fun
It was
I so look forward to y'alls videos! You are so eloquent and your descriptions make me feel like I am right there. Thank you so much for sharing!
Wow, thank you!
It is so sad that so many places are missed because of political unrest of one form or another.
Thanks for all the hard work in sharing your experience with us.
You know, I agree that it is sad. There is so much unrest in the world. The place is sweet to get to visit are a true blessing.
I love your positivity! I’m so happy yall are posting more often!!!!!
Thanks so much!
Thank you again for taking us on a wonderfull tour to enjoy with you both
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Another very interesting video. Chocolate making sounds very informative and fun. Pretty earrings Nancy. 💜💙
Thank you! 🤗
Hi guys. This was a beautiful stop. Jade, Volcanoes oh my😂. Continue to have a safe voyage.
We will thanks for following along
Love your stop on the chocolate itinerary.
It was a lot of fun
Great video, earrings 👍
Lep pozdrav iz Slovenije
Another great video! Nancy, love the earrings !
Thank you so much!
I was at the Jade location when I was in Antigua a couple of years ago.
Oh, very cool!
Living your best life!
Yes!
Love this video, we will be in this port next month on our Panama Canal full transit, your information was wonderful.
Glad it was helpful!
That was so interesting! Loved your jade earrings Nancy! If you like jade Dave Troth from Gemporia has acquired many jade pieces at very reasonable prices.
Thank you for the tip. I’ll check it out.😀
Super interesting. Do you film the videos close to finishing the experience or do you do it later on closer to release? If it’s closer to when you release them you must enjoy a second opportunity to view the experiences you had which would help you remember them so they don’t blur into one over time.
I hope this makes sense, but we record them after the next port, so we can tease a little bit at the end of what to expect. At the next port.
I am loving your travels just wondering how you are coping with everything in your room
Truthfully, we’re doing really well with our room set up.😀
With the purchase of your earrings, i just happened to wonder if you're keeping a running tally for your declaration when the cruise ends. I can't imagine trying to remember 9 months of souvenirs at the end of the cruise.
We actually do keep all the receipts. But really anything we would bring back in at the end, I'm sure will not break the limit for customs. The earrings are probably the most expensive thing. Everything else is only a dollar or two.
Ohh the Jade story is super cool.
Maybe I missed it but did you ask each other if you would go back?
(Sorry if you said)
❤ your favourite Aussie follower 🐨🐨
I can't remember right now if we said that or not but Guatemala was very beautiful we loved Antigua but not sure we would come back just based on how many other wonderful places we now have on our list to come to. Thanks for following along!
I agree with the other posts but.....please tell me where you got this black and white shirt, I must have one!
Thanks so much. Unfortunately I just really don't remember it I've had it for quite some time. Glad you like it though.
I just noticed you have been on another world cruise which ship do you like best
We’ve never been on another world cruise however, we have been on other royal Caribbean ships as well as one carnival ship. Serenaded the seas is great for this world cruise adventure. But when I’m in the Caribbean, I love the oasis class ships. Someday we hope to try Icon.
Hi, 🏵🏵🏵🦩🦩🦩May I share the most important news you will ever hear? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
Amen!
