For anyone wondering, Minotaur was able to be born because his mother was a imortal goddess. Pasifae was a daughter of Helios and the Oceanid Perseis, she was part of a family of magicians (her sister was Circe and her brother was Aeetes, the father of Medea, all of those were magicians). So since she was a goddess she was able to gave birth to a minotaur that a regular human would not be able to.
Is this also why the gods commit multiple acts of incest with no problem? I heard it's because they are made of the same divine substance called ichor which kinda cancels out the biological limitations of mortals.
This also comes up in some variants of the story of Procris -- Pasifae curses Minos to ejaculate scorpions during sex, which doesn't bother *her*, but kills his mortal mistresses.
