I love the monthly session in the book. Its nice to have a short overview, and its easier to see if there is a pattern or if you draw a particular card more often. Like with your king of pentacles. Thank you for sharing your prosses! 💕

Thanks for keeping in as much of your decision process as you did, it makes me feel less awkward over having a hard time choosing things in general but decks in particular. And thanks for sharing that you prefer to keep notes digitally, I'm dyslexic so it's kinda a must for me to write digitally if I want to be sure of my spelling and so on. In my case I use Obsidian for all of my informations gathering. Since I'm also dipping a toe into the zettelkasten method of note taking and the linked form mind map galaxies works better for me than any other system I have tried so far.

No need to apologise to me for info dumping! I'm really glad you found the video useful. I'm also playing with the zettelkasten method in obsidian for tarot keywords and meanings at the moment, it's really interesting to follow the links between cards.

This was a wonderfully intimate informative video! I've been wanting to be more regular with my tarot pulls and wanting to journal about them as well, but not really having any idea where I wanted to start. I really like the way you've done yours. I will definitely take inspiration from this. I will definitely be checking out your other videos going forward :)

@@TarotMagpie I have a question what do you do with the blank pages in your tarot journal? How do you use those pages?
@@deleongirl72 a little at a time is definitely the way to go, it took me a while to figure out what kind of info I wanted to take for each card and I've been working on this for about six months and a lot of it is still blank space!
As for the blank pages in my journal, currently nothing 😅 I was doing full and new moon readings but that didn't last long (because I suck at paper journalling 😂)
I noticed the colors of your nails - very distinctive shades - and when you opened the planner and I saw the Brewster sticker, I was pleased to realize it was, indeed, intentional. 🥰

I'm glad this appeared in my feed! This is finally a journaling style I think I could work with, so simple and effective. If you also have a format for logging bigger readings (spreads instead of daily draws) I would love to see it, even if it's digital. I love your idea of using notion as a personal tarot database and I might do the same! I looove collecting information all in one place lol.
I'm so glad you found it useful! I do have plans for videos about my tarot database and how I record spreads, they're in the works! It's all in Notion because I also like to hoard all my notes and information in one place :)
The Dark Wood is one of my favorite decks. I am just now starting to journal. Been working with tarot for over 45 years
I think it might become a favourite for me too, there's more depth the more I work with it 🥰

What a great video about your daily tarot journal process. I really enjoyed it. I also track and color code my daily pulls. I find it fascinating to see which suits are dominant and looking at the tracker tells me a story about the month at a glance and the things I've been working through. I look forward to watching more of your videos

I love tarot journals and I like the way you have yours set up and I might have to try that setup next year.

I always feel the best thing about digital notes is that you can edit and copy and paste to your hearts content, so you can start wherever you're at and make changes as you go :) There's nothing like a paper planner though!
I really like the idea of having a deck for each month. Though how do you use your daily pages? Haven’t finished the video at this moment.
At this point I do not really use my daily pages 😅 I was using them for new moon and full moon readings but didn't keep up with it. So I am still looking for some inspiration, if I come across anything I will post an update 🥰 but the monthly deck is still going strong!

I am debating whether to have a digital tarot journal or not. Enjoyed seeing how you journal. I like that monthly layout!
I think the nice thing about digital is you don't have to invest in a lot of supplies or space so you can try it out and see if it works for you :) I'm glad you enjoyed!

@@TarotMagpie Untold Tarot, also on top of that same everyone's recommendations list. I eventually picked it out if curiosity for its old school spreads and what I understood breaking down very old school reading style. So excited! Probably getting Open reading later on. 🙂

The important part is only a few minutes a day, I can't trust myself to keep up with anything more complex than that in a physical journal 😂

My blank hobonichi tarot pages are a bit in limbo at the moment, I was using them for monthly new moon readings but that very quickly fell by the wayside! I was thinking about using them to take decan walk notes - if I manage to do anything consistently I'll film an update :)

I’ve got a hobonichi techo that Im going to use like you are with a daily pull. I’ve been looking for a system to prompt me do a bit of daily tarot study that doesn’t feel too overwhelming or lengthy. So I’ll use your system with the quarterly spread and the monthly spread and because my daily pages are dated, I think I will use those pages to expand on the card meaning and perhaps my intuitive response to it and how that might relate to the specific deck meaning and a traditional RWS meaning. I find at this place in my tarot journey I’m still learning the deeper messages so I need a practice that allows me to go into the art work of the deck but also consider the foundational representation. Thank you for the inspiration!!
I’ve also thought the daily pages might be a good place for me to spend time with an oracle deck of the month. More to get to know the deck vs specific message for my day, although that could just be a away of tracking a daily oracle pull too.

Your daily system sounds like it will work really well! Daily pages for an oracle too, especially if you like to journal with those.

Thanks for sharing. I hadn’t thought about using a digital planner as well - but I think it might be ideal to revisit and expand each time a card gets pulled - no matter which deck. I’d be interested in seeing how you use Notion. Incidentally, I’m also a Meadowgate Leather fan - I have 7 of them with strings in A6, B6+ and A5 sizes. 😊

The one in the video was the 2023 hobonichi exclusive, but it's a uni ballpoint jetsream multi pen :)
