What is your opinion of the Speeco Quick hitch? I like the idea of not needing bushings? I have a 2011 JD 4320 and am interested in getting a Quick hitch. What do you recommend? Keep up the great videos!
Are they still on back order? Thanks again!
Once you use an A frame quick hitch ALL others become obsolete.
Seriously how could any engineer/farmer not immediately realize how easily a triangle fits inside a triangle that has the bottom missing?
And 1 pin on the top holds everything together to produce down pressure.
And if you buy the part that fits on the tractor any school AG shop can easily make the parts for each implement.
Let's support our local FFA.
IF you still have one.
I found a old link.
Please note this is not a new idea, 50+ years ago in Russia.

Added a quick hitch on my 1026R some years ago. FYI, I lost some lifting capacity because the quick hitch offsets the lift point out about 3" farther from the tractor. To compensate for this, I cut and removed as much as possible (slightly more than 3") from the straight section between where the quick hitch and the lift arm attaches, on the lower lift arms, and re-welded them. Can't imagine being without the quick hitch system.
Have been using HF for a few years now. Based on your video, Mine is built better than most. Retired on a budget, this unit fits the ticket. All of the 4 rear attachments are easy peasy on and off! Love our Quick Hitch!
I got the harbor freight (tar river) one a few years ago. So far, it's turned out to be a good value for my needs. Thanks for the video! Good stuff!
Thanks for watching!
Love my quick hitch, makes hook up sooooo much easier. Adding a hydraulic top link makes it even easier. Had to modify some of my older implements, but once done I was good to go. Good video.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video!
Good job doing this video. I went with John Deere because mainly of color, but did notice that the weld and paint job seemed superior.
Thanks for watching!
Nice video, can you compare “Pats Easy Change” hooks to a quick hitch? Thx
Great video, very informative. I consider these a must have, i sure don't miss rocking the tractor, or prying on that plow with a 6 foot pry bar to get hooked up.
I agree Belinda. I'll never be without one 😁
I've got the harbor freight quick hitch (2 actually). I've modified them with a 5/16 grab hook on one of the rear braces, a 4" diameter pvc pipe mounted on the side (to hold my chain), and a shackle on the other rear brace.
I can now easily carry my chain, and have more points to connect rope, straps, and the chain to when needing drag or pull things.
Nice!
Excellant review.
Thanks great information
Always good info thanks
Thanks!
The class 1 quick attach require those adapters in most cases, cause they make the bottom attach locations class 2 size :-(
I found a piece of pipe with the correct ID & OD, drilled attach holes & Bobs your uncle, saved $50 a set on the adapters. You could also get class 2 pins & possible change them on your equip to if they are removable.
Corey, a quick and easy way to get an exact center to center measurement when dealing with two identical thicknesses of material such as your quick hitch side frames or two before wall studs etc is to measure from the inside of one to the outside of the other that gives you an exact center to center measurement.
I agree, however by showing the center to center, it eliminates folks thinking I'm measuring incorrectly. It's amazing the things that start to go through your mind once you start making CZcams videos. Much of my focus goes into what will provide the least amount of critique from viewers. Haha! Thanks for watching!
Informative and fair. :)
Thank you sir!
Thanks for the video i appreciate them
Thank you sir!
Can the factory Kubota BX backhoe attach to a Quick hitch or do you need to remove the QH to put the BH back on?
Great information. I like the features of the worksaver and especially the fact that its made in the USA. But struggling to justify the much higher cost. I had the same struggle with my purchase of pallet forks and in that case chose a product that was at least half the cost of jd and they have served me well for 4 years. I dont mind paying a premium for an American product but some companies don't even try to be competitive.
Its not about being cost competitive. Its about a higher quality standard of product and paying a living wage to someone who pays for their family. Not a communist country who pays a fraction to the worker.
What would I need for a 4020 JD?? Hooking up to a brush hog.
Question : I bought a used quick hitch that don’t fit my needs mainly because I did not ask the right questions so my question is . Is their one quick hitch that will work on both class 1 and 2 implements ?
I have a JD X758 with a front quick hitch, do you Know if they make a front attachment with a ball hitch receiver?
Why do some implements say they are NOT compatible with imatch?
Can anyone tell me the difference between a Cat 2 and Cat 3 quick hitch? I can't seem to find any decent info online. Can a Cat 2 quick hitch fit on a JD 3232e?
Great video. How much longer of a reach does the PTO shaft need to have once the quick hitch is installed?
Roughly 3-4" longer. Shouldn't be an issue for most PTO shafts as there's quite a bit of overlap.
Thanks for this informative video! I still don't understand why the cat 1 quick hitch is meant to hook with 1 1/8" cat 2 pins... Both cat 1 and cat 2 implements have different dimensions that do not allow for any interchangeability. Thanks!
Honestly, I don't understand it either. Hopefully I can find the reasonsing behind it someday.
Good Video. It's too bad that Cat-1 implements can't adhere to the Cat-1 standard. Past experience has shown that Cat-2, Cat-3N, Cat-3, and Cat-4 implements actually are pretty much standardized.
There are a number of Cat-3, and Cat-4 implements that can ONLY be used with a quick hitch as the pins on the implement are not removable.
Why my hitch didn’t work. I measured the width of the lifting arms on the tractors lower arms and the ball size was to wide to fit into the quick hitch bottom opening on the frame So now i cant use the quick hitch .do you have any videos showing complete connection on a TC55DA tractor? THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Do you have a category 2 hitch and cat 2 three point or cat 1 hitch and cat 1 three point?
Just picked up an 1952 8N tractor. Would this work? Inside spacing between lower pins is around 27 inches. (Does this classify my 3pt hitch as a class 3?)
I'm not sure if it would work. Look up the specs on the 8n
Does anyone make Category 1 Quick hitch that does not require bushing for implements? didn't someone but they discontinued it? great info, thank's for the video
Worksaver used to, but discontinued.
I have a Kubota B2710 what would be the size of work saver quick hitch should I get and how can I buy it?
Hi, the category 1 Worksaver is perfect
I have a tractor that kind of falls between the territory of Category 1 and Category 2 implements. Would I have to buy two quick hitches, or is there a variant that allows use of both? Possibly a hack for a category 2 hitch so I can use category 1 implements on it?
Not sure, I wasn't aware of tractors that were both classes?
@@GoodWorksTractors quite a few, actually. The one in question here is a John Deere 620 Two Cylinder
Great job! Thanks for the info. Which hitch to you recommend? lol
Speeco has been a big hit in recent months!
Does any of the quick hitch come with a receiver hitch? I think some one needs to add that to it. That would make those a lot more versatile!
No, I don't sell any that offer that feature.
I think they leave a hitch receiver for clearance of PTO shafts, John Deere imatch has an option of a "quick hitch/imatch(with bushings)" compatible hitch receiver bracket
www.greenpartstore.com/Heavy-Duty-3-Point-Receiver-Hitch-LP25001.html
Just installed this quick hitch on my JD 1023e. Attached my GM1048e finish mower, someone told me I need a new--longer PTO shaft, is that true?
Did you try connecting the shaft yet?
How much for the round john deere neon light you have above the toolbox? Thanks.
I think it was $270
of subject...I know you just bought the clock....you interested in parting with it?
Haha no thank you.
Has anyone used the Speeco one on a JD2520?
Also will the Speeco work on the JD2520?
It’ll work just fine
Which hitch do you recommend for an old jd 4020?
is it cat 1 or cat 2?
@@GoodWorksTractors I pulled out the manual and it states that it is set up as a Cat 2 with 1 1/8" hitch pins and 1" holes in top of mast. Most (if not all) of what I am doing does not use Cat 2 implements. So same question as before...which hitch would you recommend ? Thanks
call me crazy but I think you used the adjustable top link backwards... at least how I use it. The HF hitch works fine.
I suppose it could be used the other way, but seems more stable this way. Thanks for watching!
1 BAM!
🏆🎉🎆👏
Sir, Worksaver shows someone in Carson,Mi. as a dealer, why not you????
They are the distributor for Michigan and cannot sell to the public.
you can add two strips of 1/8" x 1" flat bar rolled and stacked on one another, and install them (tack) in the lugs, to make them a Cat 1 vs using bushings. followed this guys post .www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/425331-converting-cat-2-quick-hitch.html#post5732370
or use this www.speedymetals.com/pc-3447-8242-1-18-od-x-120-wall-dom-steel-tube.aspx and split pieces in 2 shells
You know how to hook a guy up😂

@@GoodWorksTractors boo!!! Enjoy your time away.
@@GoodWorksTractors sooo not fair
Hows it going my East Coast Bud ??
@@markschmaus5580 still some snow here and there. Nothing white in the forecast in the near term, which is good. Giving a bit of time to get rid of this silly cold.
4 out of 4 of my implements don't work with quick hitch. Only the new stuff works.
Correct, stuff from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's most likely won't work. Quick hitches have been around for about 20 years, so more and more attachments are quick hitch compatible with probably 95% of attachments now made being compatible.
Pretty hard to find a WorkSaver Dealer....have to call a distributor first. WorkSaver doesn't even have a list of dealers.
I'm a Worksaver dealer, why didn't you just contact me?
@@GoodWorksTractors I figured that the shipping cost for such a heavy item would far outweigh the cost of trying to find one locally.way more than trying to
Maybe, I ship 20-30 quick hitches a week so I guess many don't find it unreasonable. Best of luck!
THANK YOU for such informative videos...you sure don't find this info from your JD dealer...GREAT JOB.
