      Once you use an A frame quick hitch ALL others become obsolete.
      Seriously how could any engineer/farmer not immediately realize how easily a triangle fits inside a triangle that has the bottom missing?
      And 1 pin on the top holds everything together to produce down pressure.
      And if you buy the part that fits on the tractor any school AG shop can easily make the parts for each implement.
      Let's support our local FFA.
      IF you still have one.

    Added a quick hitch on my 1026R some years ago. FYI, I lost some lifting capacity because the quick hitch offsets the lift point out about 3" farther from the tractor. To compensate for this, I cut and removed as much as possible (slightly more than 3") from the straight section between where the quick hitch and the lift arm attaches, on the lower lift arms, and re-welded them. Can't imagine being without the quick hitch system.

    I've got the harbor freight quick hitch (2 actually). I've modified them with a 5/16 grab hook on one of the rear braces, a 4" diameter pvc pipe mounted on the side (to hold my chain), and a shackle on the other rear brace.
    I can now easily carry my chain, and have more points to connect rope, straps, and the chain to when needing drag or pull things.

    The class 1 quick attach require those adapters in most cases, cause they make the bottom attach locations class 2 size :-(
    I found a piece of pipe with the correct ID & OD, drilled attach holes & Bobs your uncle, saved $50 a set on the adapters. You could also get class 2 pins & possible change them on your equip to if they are removable.

    Corey, a quick and easy way to get an exact center to center measurement when dealing with two identical thicknesses of material such as your quick hitch side frames or two before wall studs etc is to measure from the inside of one to the outside of the other that gives you an exact center to center measurement.

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  Před 3 lety

      I agree, however by showing the center to center, it eliminates folks thinking I'm measuring incorrectly. It's amazing the things that start to go through your mind once you start making CZcams videos. Much of my focus goes into what will provide the least amount of critique from viewers. Haha! Thanks for watching!

    Great information. I like the features of the worksaver and especially the fact that its made in the USA. But struggling to justify the much higher cost. I had the same struggle with my purchase of pallet forks and in that case chose a product that was at least half the cost of jd and they have served me well for 4 years. I dont mind paying a premium for an American product but some companies don't even try to be competitive.

    • @randallmoreland728
      @randallmoreland728 Před 3 lety

    Good Video. It's too bad that Cat-1 implements can't adhere to the Cat-1 standard. Past experience has shown that Cat-2, Cat-3N, Cat-3, and Cat-4 implements actually are pretty much standardized.
    There are a number of Cat-3, and Cat-4 implements that can ONLY be used with a quick hitch as the pins on the implement are not removable.
