Hey there, great video, does the live view remote work with the A6500?

Tom Mason it should work as long as it has WiFi. Was great with my hx80!

+Randomjuni at the moment you cannot buy it separately...BUT there is a live remote on the older models. That works and can be bought separately. Take a look on eBay!

Yes only up to 3m for 30 minutes...I wouldn’t take it scuba diving but for a few minutes no big deal.

+Tyler Devore hmmm kinda depends on your needs...it pairs to you phone so not necessary, but if you like to use your phone a lot when out and about then I would get it. I have the Sony grip/monopod/tripod...so I like it. I saw recently on the FB group someone used their phone on a bracket...definitely can see better on your phone because you can use the grids...sooooo. Totally up to you...oh yea...saw someone post an older live view remote they got on eBay...it worked. Might be worth looking into! Ps...this is my favorite cam by faaaaaaar.

+new2 if you are comfortable with you set up just stick with it! I like the live view remote with the Sony monopod (love that thing). But no need to buy extra stuff...to be honest on only use it for changing settings on the camera and just for framing the shot. I find if I use a monitor to big, I’m tempted more to look at the screen/monitor. Plus with the Sony monopod comes off very easily so I can make adjustments when needed. I’m a fan of “less is more” community. So stick with what you got!
