In such a high power output stage using thermal grease is a must. Also, wiring that output stage without the use of a rigid substrate like a PCB may lead to circuit failure due to accidental short circuiting. I have seen another output stage configuration whereby the output power transistors are connected like a common emitter configuration with the difference of having a resistor between the supply and emitter.

Hi Jason.I don't share your douts about all who could be tempted to undertake this project would know,all that is required to complete it successfully.Case in point,when i was in college,i was able to make my own printed circuits boards,in my class (35) only 2 other students could,and none could build a metal cabinet for an audio power amp.If i were to make a video on how to build something,i would take this in consederation and enumerate ALL the steps involved.(includind soldering and proper wiring tips)This would encourage someone who is not knolegeble in electronics to attempt building there own stuff.I have revued some projects from frends in my class (an audio power amp) and you not beleave the mistake they made .Knowing about electronic and building stuff are 2 diffrent things.This video is showing you how to make a power transistor oven. Worst installation ever,1) power transistors dissipate lots of heat,this heat must be transfered to the heatsink as effetiently as possible,you neglected to add silicone grease (or any thermal compound) to help conduct the heat to the heatsink.2) bad soldering tecnique,you must have a good mecanical bond between components BEFORE you solder them together,take the resistor lead,make a turn around the base terminal ,tighten with pliers,then you solder them.You should never use solder as glue.
@ lucien pellerin Completely agree on soldering techniques, although to be fair surface mounting components does use the solder as glue. However, worse still, he's using countersunk screws; over-tightening these will split the plastic casing of the transistors.
Yes ,i agre with you,the srews should be bolts and nuts,As for the soldering,i maintain my objection,large components should hold on to themselves before soldering.Surface mount components are usually small and in no danger of mecanical stress,you cannot compare.Bye,Lucien

Nice but why are you talking about Mosfets as if they're JBT's? Mosfet's don't have Base, Collector and Emitter. Its Gate, Source, and Drain.
