Join me as I go for a hike along the coastal trail I grew up on. The most underrated trail in Newfoundland. I explore an Ediacaran fossil bed, a massive sea stack with caves, and an old abandoned nickel mine...
Lots of epic drone footage in this one !
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ediacar...
I learned lots about Ediacaran fossils from this video • The Ediacaran Period: ...
I have been working on this log cabin for a few years and it is finally getting close to completion. This is not a "How to build a log cabin" video. Its just me trying to fulfill my childhood dream of building a log cabin. I am not a carpenter, I am just doing the best I can with what I have. Thanks for watching and hopefully you subscribe for future log cabin videos.
A log cabin is a dwelling constructed of logs, especially a less finished or architecturally sophisticated structure. Log cabins have an ancient history in Europe, and in America are often associated with first generation home building by settlers.

Troy, I have watched all your vids, and have loved them all. But none have made me feel as close to home as this one. When you were sitting on the rocks remembering your life and activities as a boy, I can tell you now that your story can be repeated hundreds of thousands of times. There is no way as boys that we would have left Arch rock, or the gulch unchallenged; and while we wonder how we ever made it without killing ourselves, yet those were character building times. It is a tragedy of our times that technology has prevented kids from discovering their own world around them. I just have to get home again, and soon. Thank you so much for sharing this. You did a fantastic job! And now I want a baloney sandwich to boot!

What an incredible trail! The camera can play tricks sometimes as far as flat spots but there looked like a few places that a small tent could be pitched. I could certainly imagine waking to a view of the ocean and a coffee with JD Shore rum cream! hahahahaha! Even though my grandfather was from NFLD, I have only been there once when I backpacked the Long Range Mountains. I fell in love with the place and hope to return for a few weeks someday. Thanks for sharing your hike, the drone action was fantastic! :) :)

Thanks so much for sharing this video. My family (wife and kids 9 and 6) and I were in Bonavista late August. We popped over and walked this trail from Little Catalina at Dayton Road to the rock. Picked a ton of blueberries along the way (filled a small cooler) and had a lovely picnic at the rock. It was a beautiful afternoon and is definitely undiscovered and underrated: after parking at Dayton, we didn't see another soul for the entire 2-3 hours that we were there! If it weren't for this youtube video, we wouldn't have known about this. Thanks for sharing and helping to make for a lovely afternoon on our Newfoundland vacation.

OMG loved every minute of this video. I am moving to Nfld in 2022. First went there in 2003 fell head over heels in love with the place. Then came back in 2018 for two weeks. I have made the decision to move there. Something about the island, the land, the people, I feel like I belong there. I plan on travelling from one end to the other seeing EVERYTHING. I may never leave that is my mind set right now. I will need to decide where to plant my feet and live. But my heart is there. Love it, love it, love it, thanks for the great video.

Interesting fact : when u measure all the ins and outs of the Maine coastline from north border to south border it’s the same distance as it is from south border to Florida. So much of the rest of eastern coast is fairly straight in comparison to what we both see. Take care
