We’re Matt & Karla, a Canadian couple with two totally different backgrounds.
Matt is the “quintessentially Canadian”, born under the northern lights in Northern Alberta with family all over the country, whereas Karla is originally from Mexico City, bringing a totally fresh perspective to a country she has fallen in love with.
Over the past 10 years, we have travelled to 42 countries spanning six continents, which has given us the expertise to plan amazing trips and find memorable experiences.
In 2017, we decided to explore our own massive backyard with Road to 150, a 150-day #roadtrip across #Canada, witnessing the beauty and diversity of this country and sharing our experiences through video, pictures, social media, and articles. Since then, we’ve helped thousands of Canadians and travellers worldwide make the most of every Canadian experience.

It is a physically demanding traveling up that scree slop . We found that part of the visit the most memorable of all .

Brought back so many memories. I've done this hike twice nearly 30 years ago! First time the clouds rolled in and there was no view from the top! Second time was perfect. Would love to do it again. Your video reminded me of some of the views that I had forgotten. Green Gardens is excellent as well.

Did the hike 6 years ago, loved it. The climb was hard on the rocks. It was really wendy of top but it was great. Well worth doing it!

The Geology or theory of tectonic plates was founded in Newfoundland - Dr. Harold Williams (RIP) - Memorial University. He Developed the first tectonic plate map of the Appalachian mountains. Although that map is over 40 years old, geologist still referred to as "the map" His work began in Gros More and he was an advocate for it becoming a world heritage site.

I was 16 years old in 2013 climbing Gros Morne Mountain in Newfoundland with my dad , twin brother and are cousin and she is only 8 years old... She beat us to the top before us three guys by a long shot.... It was a great 9 hour hike but we didn't bring enough water and food for the 4 of us and we got chased by a mother 🫎 moose (cow) down the mountain for a moment since her calfs were near us too. We never felt so thirsty when we got back to are car. Drinking like two bottles of water each.,
haha those are the times where water seems like the best tasting drink on Earth

We just did the hike. You definitely need a full day, and at least 3 litres of water. Also bring a flashlight in case you get back late ( like us).

Beautiful scenery all the way! Great job you two. Good to get out in nature. So we call the white Ptarmigan Rockers and the Brown n white ones Browsers or more relative name would be Brushers because they like to hide in the brush. What time of year did you go hiking there? It seemed a little cold.

@MustDoCanada must be if you're right near the coast thing. I'm originally from Burgeo when it gets muggy 19 degrees feels like 26 sometimes. Might not be like that on the west coast though.?

This was in late September I believe. But generally, it's best from June to early September
Did you get a permit to fly a drone in this park? Pretty sure you're not allowed to fly any drone, even micro drones in national parks.
Yes, we had a permit. You can see Parks Canada with us in the video
Hi! What month was this hike taken place? I am thinking of going in October, do you think the weather will be manageable?
It should be yes. You could always reach out to them but we did this hike in either very late september or very early October.

This was the fall, end of September. But better months are July and August for prime weather

Hi, how's the temperature of newfoundland in late April? And can we do this hike in April?
It's quite common to have snow on the ground in Newfoundland during the spring. With some years having a snowfall in May and June.
Was it hard to get a permit to fly in the National Park?
It's not that hard in Atlantic Canada. However, they send someone with you the entire time, and of course, there's a fee each day as well
@@MustDoCanada It's almost impossible at Cavendish and Fundy National Parks. I don't have a problem with someone coming with me. Nor do I mind a fee. Growing up in Corner Brook I never went up Gros Morne. I'M GOING TO THIS SUMMER! (That's me being determined). Thanks.

That’s the beauty of Canada. Most of us haven’t even explored our own provinces they’re so big including me here in Ontario. We’re lucky to live in such a beautiful country there is endless things to do and see here.

@@MustDoCanada This is so true about our own countries. We've amazed some Mexican friends with the extent of our travels in Mexico. They all say we've seen more of the country than they have! Love exploring our own country as well (Canada).
