  • Mazatrol Programming Tutorial CNC Lathe Training. This is the third programmed part in the series. Facing, turning, drilling and boring processes used, along with how to modify the program layout. This would normally only take a few minutes to program this part if I was not going through everything step-by-step for the camera. Also shown is how to adjust wear offsets and how to re-run a single process.

Great Job Phil! so helpful!! we had a 45 yr employee retire that ran this control T-2 No one else knows how to program it here. Your videos are keeping me from throwing this lathe out to the scrap yard. Thank you. We machine forging dies with very complex geometry. I would love to see a face groove program when you get a chance

Keep these coming! I’m an apprentice and our shop runs all Mazaks of various age. Helps to have this in a video format, thanks from Scotland

This helps shed some light on how to program the Mazak 8N I'm working on, thank you for creating this. Now on to learn how to run threading ops.

The wear offset being added to the geometry in the position screen is not just a Mazak thing. I run a lathe with a Fanuc 21i-t control and it does the same. It's all about how the parameters were set in the machine.

Been about five years since running a few mazatrol programs, most shops run the Eia or both depending on complexity of the part.

loving your videos Phil! I thank you for doing this. I just purchased a used 1989 QT15n and reselected her from a guy that was going to part it out over a bad spindle drive. I had CNC Drive Drs talk to Ken if you ever have problems. My question for you is I am in the tooling up stage for this lathe and I am wondering what your go to tooling would be for this machine. I am a mold maker by trade and my expertise is on the milling side of things. If you could please point me in the right direction. Thanks Phil!

Hey Phil, first of all thank you for all the videos you post they are super helpful. I just recently bought one of these machines and have it in my garage. Quick turn 15. I'm having problems with a battery alarm nmi 23 and I was wondering if you know the locations these on this machine?

Hi Phil, awesome videos. I'm learning a lot from your videos. Just one question... Why do you always choose offset 1 no matter what tool? What are you telling the machine, and why? Hopefully you understand my confusion. Thanks in advance!

Excellent your videos! I have been working with Mazak for years with T2, T3 and T32-2 controls ... Currently where I work there is a problem with QT-35N with Mazatrol T2 control (the parameters were erased) and we have not been able to recover them because that information is not easily accessible .. Do you know where to get those parameters?
