New Orleans was hands down my favorite concert experience ever. 🙌 I have to use a cane for general admission now(car accident), and the mountain goats fan base was so welcoming and the music *so* worth it. Thanks for the music, the hair, and the chance to listen to some live music for the first time in years.
Never heard 'The Moon' before, so I looked it up, but apparently that is a different song and John was actually thinking of 'The Moon Song', lol. It's mad that the guy has so much material that he has two unreleased songs with the moon in the title and even he gets them mixed up
Met someone in the record store the other day inspecting a copy of Getting into Knives. I told him it's a good album. He said, "yeah, I know!" I've been a fan for 5 years and this is the first time I've met someone in person.
Amazing! TMG fan since 2008 and have yet to meet another in the wild. I've met others at TMG concerts, but that's... I mean *of course* I would.
Meeting a mountain goats fans in the wild = instant friendship. It’s yet to happen for me.

@@someoneelse1534 I understand! Born, raised, and currently live in Hawai'i. I've flown to Portland, OR to see TMG on 2 occasions (a show in Sep '19, and 3 nights in a row this past May).
I got to go only because my _amazing_ partner (who, of course, doesn't like TMG) flew us out there twice for a Portland vacation. I lived in PDX for 8 years and before that spent almost every summer since birth in Hood River (just an hour East of PDX). He really enjoys visiting the city with me... and tolerates sitting at the bar during the show.
At the '19 show I was _sure_ I'd traveled the most distance to be there until I heard a familiar accent in the crowd: a girl had flown in from New Zealand!
You do what you gotta do when you live in a place *every* band misses on their tours.
If I had loads of money I'd fly to concerts on the regular. In reality?
I only fly for The Mountain Goats.
The Mountain Goats have been top of my list to see live for SO LONG and now it’s finally happening! 🖤 Y’all should come to the UK more often!
Training Montage is so good. Really excited to see you guys in St Petersburg! It will be my first time seeing The Mountain Goats. I’m glad I’ve been warned about the hair, it’s magnificent and I need to brace myself
