Word. I've been a rock hound for 34 years. Precious stones can be so boring, especially when cut for jewelry.
The diamond on my ring finger looks _nothing_ like a standard wedding ring stone: it's a raw/uncut chunk of gray, semi transparent, sparkly ROCK.

I so desperately want merge to re-release Songs for Pierre Chuvin on tape (even though i do believe they did at least 2 runs). I've been collecting the new tapes, which merge has indeed been killing it with, but that particular one sold out very quickly and is being scalped for very high prices on eBay. I love owning Getting Into Knives, Dark in Here, and now Bleed Out on tape, but being recorded on the trusty Panasonic, Songs for Pierre Chuvin is probably the one I wanted the most. Still, looking forward to getting my tape of Bleed Out and the t-shirt to go with it. JD is the only the reason I buy AA batteries, so I can keep my old Walkman operational when on the go.

love the content but why don't y'all use a $50 lav mic and another cell phone to record audio for these? it's always striking how awful the audio is.
lav mic into cell phone or portable audio device, feed from pocket under shirt, clip to collar or just below, take the 5 mins to sync up audio and video, negligible cost and dramatically higher quality audio for these

These spatter vinyls are NOT what was advertised at all. They look bad.
Same. Love the Mountain Goats, but "actual vinyl may look different once pressed" isn't enough to cover the difference between a clear record with red splatters and a red record with translucent splatters you can't even see on camera.
