I would say Synergy chests are more common than black chests. Rarest chests are rainbow and glitched, and I believe there's a variant of rainbow that's synergy based. I've seen no rainbow and a couple glitched chests in 200-ish hours of play.
I’ve seen Rainbow but never glitched…and I know the odds for both as astronomically low.
i've had 1 rainbow chest and a couple glitched in a couple hundred hours
I've seen 1 rainbow (Outside of rainbow runs) and 2 glitched in 250 hours myself. I am lucky though.
Fun fact, if you get a natural spawn rainbow chest during a rainbow run not only can you open it, but you get all its contents

Tfw bullet bore IS a good gun, it stuns enemies. And it homes in + explodes so that it does destroy bullets. Also it kills me whenever chat tells him to immediatly use d-pad up instead of teaching him to hookshot to steal items
