"Don't stop Believin" kid was pitch perfect. He was absolutely amazing for even a singer three times his age. He can sing with a clear and open throat at that age? He will be going places, if he wants to, once he gets old enough to make his own choices.

I think the young man who did teen spirit nailed it, even if i couldnt pronounce the words in english quite right.
Well maybe, but to my ear he used vocal cords instead of proper distortion technique, which is very dangerous for the voice cords. Easy to damage, hard to recover. Someone has to tell him about that.
Outside of the obvious part of finding fresh talent, I feel that the best thing about being a judge would be the simple pleasure of the randomness of that moment when you hear that song you haven't heard in forever. Something classic and special done very well. Like the Bohemian Rhapsody or Space Oddity or Stairway part, for example.
