I love Lilias White's Hermes: she is such a mom to Orpheus--disappointed in him at the beginning of the song, and then concerned as she warns him about the dangers of the road. And WOW, Jordan Fisher's voice is so beautiful for this role!!! I like that his Orpheus sounds a bit more grown-up; he still has those moments of vulnerability, and those beautiful pure high notes, but he also has a deeper resonance and sounds more confident in his determination to be the hero Eurydice needs at this moment.

This combo, in my opinion, is much better than the past reiterations. His voice can handle the soft sensitive moments in the lalalalas and yet is commanding and strong and he sounds determined to get to her. Also I’m LOVING the female Hermes. 😍😍😍

at first i was a little unsure about this casting but wow, he is incredible as orpheus. it’s so refreshing to to hear a new voice and his is truly different from any other orpheus. thank you for this❤️🌹

Well, Jordan Fisher is a baritone. Which is partially why his Orpheus is so much different than the others. His voice is naturally darker and heavier than a tenor, but this causes his falsetto to sound stronger.

Across the Spiderverse in theaters, comparing passages in Les Miserables in English and French, this is up there with them. It was incredible
