Brembo Front Brake Upgrade on Land Rover Discovery 3 /4 Range Rover Sport 2005-2012

- In this video we upgrade our Land Rover Discovery 3 ( G4 replica ) project car front brakes to the latest SVR supercharged Brembo 6 pot calipers and fit drilled + grooved vented front disc brakes ( rotors ). This is a bolt on front brake upgrade ! We look at the kit and then do the full upgrade for you to watch and enjoy !
Really enjoyed your videos so far, watched the compressor change, reservoir now the brake job. Just brought a 2005 discovery 3. So a few jobs to be done and these have been very helpful :) thanks guys :)
You should change that glass working table by a more solid one... hahaha the caliper hitting the glass scared me!!

Great Channel,there seems a lot of rust on those Brakes ,has it lived by the Sea,surprising how parts are interchangable on landrovers ..great video.
That looks like a very good upgrade, I think I would have replaced those fossilized hoses for stainless braided ones while I was there, the impact driver is a good tool to have, especially when used with a 5 lb club hammer, I am sure the heat from grinding the groove made a big difference to undoing that one, it loos like this vehicle has seen a lot of salt! I've seen hundreds of Maestro Van (Yuk) discs sheared off the hub as you describe ... it does happen.
I cant believe they ever got fast enough to generate that stopping force ! I had a Montego for a while...dark days.... purchased from Newport car auction...

These guys are awesome! I need the advice as I buy LR RRS Turbo versions of the oversized calibers for my 2012 LR RRS non-turbo --- according to this video they will fit a non-turbo 5.0L model. I am finding many of the Brembo OEM calibers on eBay.
Gary new to the spanner’s. That took a while but very helpful. Now need to see if you have an upgrade for the L322 as my TD6 brakes are pants and not long changed….under 1600 mls and have the death shake.
I would doubt these would fit within the standard D3 wheel or dust shields? I upgraded my d3 to the V8 sized rotors and calliper hangers but it uses standard calliper and pads. Still it made a significant improvement over the original crappy brakes.
If you've ever seen Project Binky on CZcams, they do some nuts that need to be extra tight up to "FT". I'll leave it up to you to guess what it translates to.

First thing: it works only in 20” wheels and above, otherwise it won’t fit!

No the Evoque is different - let me look at Evoque brake upgrade options - maybe some parts from the Velar or other model may fit ?
Do u do a brembo brake upgrade kit for Range Rover l322 4.4 petrol bmw v8
Any issues (or anyone had exp with) off-roading with drilled/grooved discs? I wondered if there's any risk of dirt build-up in there and/or sand/stones getting in the holes/grooved and scaring the pads and disc and wrecking things, or safer to stick with solid discs for off-roading?

First off, great video. Lots of details here and I'm sure lots of back end research and mock ups had to have been done to figure this out out.
I've been searching all over the internet for the larger brake dust shields and really can't find what OEM parts you guys are using. My best guess is Right hand side: LR013665
Left hand side: LR013666
But that's what I have on my LR4 now and that seems too small.
I understand you guys spent a lot of time on this and I don't mean to take away any of your business, but the kit is out of stock and I already have the calipers. I can buy the shields from you if that's what I need to do (I prefer not since I'm in n California and don't want to pay for shipping ;) Anyways, I understand if you don't want to share the info. I appreciate what you've already done!

Is it possible to retrofit better brakes on a 03 L322 4.4 Range Rover running 19 inch wheels? Is the 05 Supercharged Brembo unit a direct fit or modifications are needed? Thanks
Yes they are a straight fit... apparently... i have not done it myself

Good idea - but i cannot buy any new Defender painted calipers ...even from Land Rover.
Can discovery4 calliper change as that calliper? Because d4 original calliper is defferent with d3
Yes the hub is the same so once you have stripped it back to the hub ) i.e. removed the caliper / disc and stoneguard ) its all the same....
powerfulukltd what kind of wheel inch can it do? I think 19inch wheel is too small to fit 6p calliper
@@Yunitunes We tried this today and the 19" wheels do not fit - it was very close but they do not fit..... they may fit with a wheel spacer ?

We tried this today and we could not get a 19" wheel to fit... it was close... but you have no change with an 18" wheel.... those wheels need to go....

Thank you for this video! Is this the same brembo upgrade kit for the Range Rover Sport (L494) on your website? I ask as there is nothing on the site for the Discovery 3. I understand one needs to install 20 inch rims to clear the 380mm brake size.

No the L494 kit does not include the new back plates you need for the Sport / LR3.... kit will be listed next week....
