Here are my designed parts I used for the tongue in a cart from sendcutsend. cart.sendcutsend.com/tzyfmkgd...
Starting off by fabricating a tongue that "simply" bolts to the front of the container, and then setting the container down on our simple wheels. Moving the container ended up being super easy. However, making the containers permanent home was a heavy task. It all turned out fantastic though, with only a few mistakes made along the way.

Thanks @AustinCoulson for helping pour the pad in front of the container!
There are a few styles on ebay now of the spindles I modified. None of I can tell are the same as the ones I used, but I'm sure all could be modified to work like mine.

How to get more friends: get a tire machine. Check! Hell I thought just owning a truck was enough!
😂
Great idea about the all-thread on the corners. Next time I level mine, I'm switching to that method!
Right on! Hope it helps!
The Mrs is a crack up
She definitely is!
I can’t believe you can hold that whole thing over your head like that! You’re SO strong! 🥰
I hold the world record for the worlds strongest Pinocchio!
Damn, that's some serious progress. Looking great! I'm most impressed with the trailer tongue being so solid.
The hardest one. The rest are easy in comparison. Hopefully 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
One down, four to go!
Ughhh. Don't remind me! 😁😁😁
That turned out as a wonderfull storage solution.
Thank you for this fantastic video.
Greetings from Portugal.
Greetings!! Hope it’s helpful!
Your wife is awesome 😂
Haha. Thanks. Don’t tell her though, she’ll get a big head. 😂
Yes, good tips 💡
Thanks for watching!
If it was a 20ft container. Would have been a lot easier.😂😂😂
I like your container apter. Nice Work!👌👍💯❤️
Yes, 20's are actually fairly easy to move. 40's are just sooooo awkward and intimidating.
"Library" lol, it's amazing how fast one can fill up a 40ft HC container. I have 2 and a 20 and my wife calls the one 40 my 'shopping container'. We have shelving and lights down the middle of both. But what we do have too much of is 'stuff'. Enjoyed the process of your move and setup
Thanks! Yes, I am in the same boat with too much stuff.
I'll take some of your stuff, I have another 40HC coming
@@embededfabrication4482 don’t temp us! Lol
That's just a law of nature.
Remember: The amount of stuff you have is directly proportional to the amount of storage available.

massive overkill engineering imho 😊
Probably. But better safe than sorry I guess.
Very informative thank you 💯
I just added the parts I designed for the tongue in the description of the video. They are in a shareable cart on sendcutsend if you want to build your own.
Very cool video
Thank you!!
Thank you for the information
You bet!
Like the mod to the container wheels and you locking pins for the corner cubes. I was a little concerned that much weight on the bottom of the bucket may bend it.
Thank you! That bucket is really thick. 36mm - 1 1/2”
Smart!
Thank you!
Cool ideas and progress. tHanks for the video.
Thanks! That was a stressful project. Always have the fear of it taking off down a hill and not being able to stop it.
🎉🎉🎉
I'm new to the channel, looks like a great setup! When you moved the container could you have put the hitch at the opposite end with the wheels moved as well? I find it easier to back a trailer into position rather than pull it in and jackknife the tractor 😁
Absolutely. If I were using a truck I would have, but with the skid steer, I was completely blind backing it (or pushing in that case)
Your thoughts about losing a minute....made me think.
I've been telling people for a couple years that if I spend 5 minutes a day doing something stupid.....that adds up to 30 hours at the end of the year.....Nearly a normal persons full week of work. Probably 1/2 a self employed person's week. Just five minutes a day....
Sometimes adding things up like that can be a real awakening for sure. It really is crazy how much focus is on the present and not on the big picture / timeline.
That's what she said! LMAO
😂
Clever fella, I give 2 👍on the sketchy stuff, gotta live a little. What is your shop dimensions?
Thanks! It's a 30x70x16'6" tall. A lot smaller than my old one, so it's taking some getting use too. It is nice being able to keep it warm though. Has a nice loft on one end that will be cool someday. I added a cool old window to it looking over the shop.
Here's a video of some of the inside while we were setting it up. czcams.com/video/v483SYyhGMY/video.html
Austin sent me...
Thanks Austin!
Did you make the oblong washers or buy them I’ve looked all over and I can’t find them anywhere.
There’s a link in the description to a cart on send cut send. I designed them myself, but in that cart you can order them. From the video click “more” and the links at the top.
Where did you get the wheel axles from? Where did you get the locks for the toung ? Im in desperate need i have 4 loaded containers I must move yesterday.thank you.
There are links in the description of the video for all. The locks I designed and there is a link to send cut send for those too. it's a link to a cart where you can buy them. Adjust the quantity's to how your going to make it.
"It stayed nice n tight " that what u said and "she said .😂🎉
😂🤣😂🤣
Do you also do the vehicle repair? I have a GEO . Thank you
Just CZcams mechanics for now.
It would have been easier to make 9’ fork and lift it.
Ummmm. These weigh 9,000lbs and I don't have space to drive a 40' container sideways. Plus, could you imagine being sideways on that hill for it's final destination with a 40' container on 9' forks? A lot of things to think about there, it's not that simple.
