The Pokuase Interchange is a four-tier interchange situated at Pokuase Junction. It lies on the Nsawam Road and connects the Nsawam Road to the George Walker Bush Highway.
The interchange's cost is estimated at 94.8 million dollars and funded by the African Development Bank and the Government of Ghana.

the pokuase interchange is a perfect example of the profligate waste, which has characterized the akufo addo administration, and is the *real* reason why ghana is back at the IMF less than 3 years after leaving the last IMF program (which the akufo addo program left early). the pokuase interchange was a project started in the mahama administration. i believe that akufo addo (probably needlessly) had this interchange redesigned and expanded so that he could take credit for having built the largest interchange in west africa. how is it that the pokuase interchange is a bigger interchange than the kwame nkrumah interchange (which i would imagine carries more traffic)???
nana akufo addo entered office with delusions of grandeur, believing that he would be the greatest president in the history of the fourth republic. instead, it looks like his is going to turn out to be the worst.

@Yussif cessey Kuffour did the drawings for the 3tier interchange but mahama couldn't find money for 8 good years until when he was leaving that African development bank came with the money. Nana Addo added the 4tier at the same cost since it was too expensive for 3tier. So this 4tier is Nana Addo's vision. That your 260m dollars circle Dubai is mahama project that gets flooded when it rains.

Please tell Ghana Highway authorities to educate drivers about how to PROPERLY use this beautiful interchange. So many cars in this video were going in the wrong direction and that is dangerous.

as a point of correction, the interchange connecting nsawam road and the george walker bush highway is the "achimota overhead" interchange (i know this because one of the occasions when i got lost in accra, was at the achimota overhead exchange). one of the things that i find so funny is that you probably won't find a road named after george w. bush anywhere in the united states (i don't think many people in the united states hold him in particularly high regard; he has pretty much dropped out of public view, except on occasion to show off his crappy paintings that nobody wants to buy)...yet you will find one in accra ghana!

Ghanaians don’t have a sense of maintenance, you’ll do gold streets and projects but still it will be destroyed in a few months....just give it 6 months p3 and go and check again bulbs will be flickering, car rims cutting asphalt but they’ll not bill the culprits....plastics matter de3 hmmm and unnecessary speed bumps n humps without reflectors.
