For a country where most people avoid taxes it's a big achievement. Pay your taxes folks before you shoot your mouth off. They are willing to give 10% and 5 offertories to their crooked pastors but will not pay taxes to develop the country. Even Jesus pleaded to his flock to pay their taxes. It's a big shame that Accra to Bolgatanga through Kumasi is not to this level.

@Zion Roots Lol, I agree, I must say. And indeed we do need to be able to generate and collect more taxes for our development across the board. But allow me to also add that nation-building and good governance go hand in hand and really isn't too much to do how much money you collect from your people, or how many 'tricks' you're able to perform on them. I argue that, at it's foundation, its being able to convince citizens or the masses of your people of the need and importance of 'building and developing' the nation in order that together we could all improved livelihoods. That's it.
I feel, we may still not get this need and how it's linked to our collective prosperity or us getting there quicker than if we are more individualistic and living for ourselves most of the time. Once our societies have been assisted in seeing this we'll become more community orientated and nation-builders and will be more ready to participate in all that we are supposed to do to get there like going ourselves to contribute our taxes and not being forced, get involved more in our communities and environment's security, cleanliness and safeguarding. We'll start more needed organisations ourselves like 'housing associations' that really help address our 'affordable housing' headache that plagues most local citizens and not just go into businesses for profit only for ourselves. We'll hold governments, local and national, more accountable for everything they do and not be the ones that offers bribes to them which corrupts them and leads us all to that 'race to the bottom'.
Africa will develop when we know more about what is required of us, the citizens. We're the ones holding ourselves back.

@@dan.S5050 If the private sector pay their taxes as religiously as money they put in the 5 different offertories for those crooked pastors, the gov't will have enough funds to finance such projects all over the country. It's a shame that a country like Ghana does not have a dual carriage motorway from North to South and from east to west of the country. The money from the toll booth alone on the Tema motorway could have financed this but no, more than half of it goes into the pockets of some greedy bastards.

I'm not sure of the technical names, but tetteh quarshie interchange has a roundabout there. It's fused with the interchange, right in front of the Accra Mall.
This achimota one directly leads to achimota and is right on the spot of the achimota forest, plus, from there you go to the Achimota Interchange.
