Hey just a suggestiong: Could you put a list of the tips at the end of the video as a summary? I think that would really help with the retention of lessons from all these rolls :)
Great roll. Cool to see an opponent that is familiar with your style and even cooler that you have a life long training partner like that. As usual your killing the game! I appreciate the content and lessons
Thanks man! I even went to highschool with Joey. I'm very fortunate to get to train with him for over a decade đ
Need to rename your channel Jordan never gets beat. đđȘ
@@Mike-xr3zj haha well not anymore. I rolled with Bernardo Faria! That video is coming in a couple days. No shame in losing to a 5x black belt world champ lol
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu looking forward to seeing it! Just watched him in a classic fight Roger a few days ago. Roger is a beast.
I like that you emphasize the âhead controlâ and the high hips battle. It helps me during my rolls .
Another great video, the narration is so helpful. Gunna take this into my training today. Thanks Jordan đđŒ
Bro your channel by far is my favorite jiu-jitsu channel to watch and it's so funny because it's not like you're doing anything crazy. Your jiu-jitsu is fun to watch and your description combined with slow down just works. Keep it up brother!
Thank you so much man! Means a lot to me!
This is great content. I learn a lot from your commentary, especially when youâre rolling against another high level practitioner. Some many amazing details!
Thanks man!
Awesome. Love these. Your rolling commentaries are by far my favourite. Your rolls are always so entertaining. If you're looking for feedback on the post-match breakdowns- I personally found them great and super helpful!
Thanks man! I will 100% be bringing the post match breakdowns back for some rolls. Not all but some!
The higher hips detail during scrambles has been a huge detail my instructor dropped on me recently. I went from getting swept or putting myself on bottom to being on top or standing up again more often than not. Thank you for such great content!
I am a simple man. I see a new video from Jordan and I watch it
Haha thanks man!
Nice roll. As a beginner, I find your narration most informative and helpful.
Thanks man!
These narrated rolls are poetry in motion.
That was great! I see a lot of myself in the way Joey rolls. Awesome that you have a longtime training partner like him!
Loved every second. Thanks so much for such good teaching
I appreciate it man!
Great roll, the commentary really helped to pick out some of the key details.
Awesome roll! Always struggled with the arm triangle going to give it more attempts now
Nice details bro - thanks for sharing
Love this video- one of my favorite commentaries so far
Thanks man, one of my favorites too!
Fantastic video, as always. I appreciate how you always return to fundamental concepts (keep your hips high in a scramble, prevent them from controlling your head, etc). đđœ
Very cool cameo shoutout by your daughter at the end. đ
Wow! What a roll!! đđœđ„
Okay that transition from the sponsor into the roll was clean as hell
Hahah thanks man! I had a lot of fun making that.
awesome. thanks!
Great roll and breakdown! Keep it up! 100K+ subs in no timeđ€
great video. Learned a bunch.

loving the podcast so far. I've listened to all of the episodes released. I gotta say though, it's a little dry sounding. you should add some sort of intro and outro sound(probably the same sound) and maybe some effects to mark when certain segments of the show that you consistently do are starting. Amazing content in the podcasts it's just hard to keep concentration with nothing but male voices to bring you in(much live but you and Joey are a bit monotone). we appreciate everything you guys do, and I figured you'd appreciate some constructive criticism.
@@dialohurt4333 thanks man. Me being monotone is nothing new lol. Joey, I'm surprised to hear that. I'll add some music for sure next time. Thanks for the feedback!

Great idea!
đ
Love the content man. Thanks.
Thanks man!
This was a really good rolling commentary. Excellent work again, sir.
Thank you!
This was a great videoâŠkudoâs for the smaller Joey, able to hang with you for so long. You guys are awesome!!!
Thanks man ya, Joey is really good! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Great roll!
Great comentary. Thanks!
Thanks man!
GREAT VIDEO!
Another awesome video.
Thank you! This one is one of my favorites.
joey is the only guy who can hang with jordan. amazing!
awesome as ALWAYS!!!
đ
Props to joey he is an absolute beast !
I'm a beginning white belt I have watched and still watch many videos I keep coming back to yours jordan. Keep up the great work. Thank you for your content.
Thanks man! I'm glad my content has been helpful to you. đ
I see the quality of your videos improving. They are even better now. Keep it up!
Thank you! I can't wait to see where th be a year from now.
Great stuff đ
Thank you!
Thanks Jordan! Love your Rowling style.
Awesome đ
Less than 15k away from 100k subscribers...nice work! đ
The roll was very entertaining...two black belts who obviously know each other well. đ
Thanks man! So close now. Can't wait!
Killer roll bro
Fantastic roll. Arm triangle is one of my top subs. I do it a bit more like Ryan Hall teaches it, but either way, it's one of my favs! Also it was great to put a face to Joey's voice from the Podcast. :)
As always, great rolling commentary, dude!
I'm about to make a buggy choke video with details on how to finish it in a different way. It's pretty savage. I think I mentioned it in a previous comment. Literally packing my bag to go down there and do it, haha.
Injured my AC joint but canât wait to try this đđŸ
Love this stuff
đ
Wow that was amazing stuff!
Thank you!
More videos of Joey and Mike rolling! Great hosts on the podcast and moderating the discord channel.
Definitely will get Mike soon, and Joey in the Gi!
This channel saved my life
đ
great fight.
The best grappling channel on CZcams!
Means a lot to me đThanks!
I learn a lot from these videos, oss... Would appreciate some tips/trick on guillotines and leg attack defense.
When he defends the arm triangle.
Slide his arm at the wrist over the top of his head across his face, turn your body clockwise and use your chest on the back of his tricep while squeezing on the far side. There's like some weird bravo action there.
Alternatively when you slide the arm across his face at the wrist the arm is kind of dangling in the air there for some arm lock attack of your choice.
It may be a lot easier then you think on some opponents to get that wrist over the top of their head.
Osss awesome rollđđđ
Thanks!
So Joey is a survivor.
haha one of few
Amazing roll
Thanks man!
Another great video Jordan! I can't wait to get back to training, injuries, and illnesses have had me f'ed up for over a month now but I will be back. đ€
I need to get at least one stripe on my blue before I can quit đ
Looking forward to your return! Gotta come back and stay regular. No more injuries or illness allowed lol
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu đŻđ€
What a fun looking roll
So much fun!
2 guy very familiar with each otherâs style, I like it! Some very technical defense.
Speaking of⊠I get caught in darces a lot by the guys that do them, but theyâre a total mystery to me. Iâm looking forward to your darce video.
I'm the same way with my left arm. Also it my left shoulder ratchets when I tighten it up.
Nice to see Joey able to keep you off for so long. I remember getting destroyed by him at a no gi tournament.
Joey is really good! Super hard to submit too. Made for a great roll for the channel!
đ tough
My brain is now twice itâs normal size after watching this
When someone defends w the telephone there's a cool shoulder / wrist lock there. Dudes w tight shoulders tap quick. You can even go bicep slice as well. Nice breakdown
đ
I canât believe Iâm about to actually buy a product advertised in the beginning of a video đ€Ł
Haha, do it! They're my favourite headphones. I use them all the time. They are a tad quiet but if you go to the soundcore app and raise all the frequencies, they become super loud. Only have to do it once then it's like that until you change it. Easy work around!
Nice
đŻ sold me on those ead buds lol
Love your content man all the way from sweden đ my game has really improved by watching your videos! Can i request a video on how to do flying armbars and flying triangles nogi safely?
Thanks man! Unfortunately I think it's tough to doing anything flying safely. I avoid flying submission after landing hard on my back way to many times lol
lol that eye zoom in transition
Bro I always break my headphones like that too now I always get a Warranty
Frame and Slam!!!
for the arm triangle (recently learned) you can can take the defending arm answering the phone and pull it over the back of your own head for an americana
Definitely an option but I consider it a pretty low percentage move personally
Love your videos! My goal is to make one and send it to you as a thanks.
I sometimes have trouble getting to side control once I have head/arm triangle. Opponent seems to lock up one leg. From mount did you just do a windsheild wiper to get across? Thanks
đȘđŒ
Hey Jordan do you think you could do a video on attacking turtle ? Great roll and like always great content đȘđ»
Ya definitely!
Great content! Do you have a video (or can point me to one) that talks in more detail about the belly up darce?
I have a Dâarce guide that covers it a bit
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Thanks, I'll check it out!
đAwesome roll guys and Super cute kid at the end too đđđ
She gets her cuteness from her mom đ
Like the new intro graphic
Thanks man I love it!
@Jordan Teaches Jiujitsu Iâd love to see you go over triangle defense if possible. Iâve seen almost all your videos, and unless Iâm blanking, I donât remember you ever even being locked in a triangle, so I donât think youâve ever needed to address it in your rolling commentary sessions haha
That's a great idea! I have some really great triangle defense tips I think will resonate with people.
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsuawesome. Yeah, us mortal white belts still get caught in them so any of your wisdom there would be appreciated.
@@thatguitarguyguy one quick tip just make sure you keep their knees in front of their hips when they try to lock it up. This is normally achieved by stacking them. Video coming soon though!
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Noted. Thanks and looking forward to it.
Great commentary! My training partner and I have been recording our rolls in hopes to break the techniques. What application do you use to annotate the recording?
Thanks man I use final cut pro. Any editing software should work!
This Channel is getting pro
đ
Damnit 11 seconds in and I wasnt the 1st comment!!! Best roll yet! Love it!
Gotta be quicker next time haha. Thanks man!

Nice! Been playing a lot with arm triangles lately and am in the same boat with a strong side. I find a good mental note for me is I want my collar bone at his delt, if I'm up on his tricep I'm gonna be too high and need to readjust or squeeze harder. One of the two should work. 3:17 vs 9:12
I describe that motion of getting your choking arm deeper as a cork screw motion but I find that works better in the gi. I just cork screw my hand back and forth while framing on their temple. I've seen Gordan Ryan say to jack off your friend in no gi and he's way better then me.
Final thing I've been playing with is keeping my eyes forward the entire time I'm attacking the choke. I try and look where the floor meets the wall. I find it let me use a more active chin to dig into their tricep/delt to maintain control and as I transition off to the choke it keeps my collar bone lower. You use your chin at 2:50 then look down which slightly raises your collar bone. Not trying to critique you, your grappling is amazing and a joy to watch. Just wanted to share something that has been a passion project for me the past several months and I'd love any feed back from you.
I think the problem with looking forward as opposed to down, is you may find it harder to keep your head underneath someone who is actively trying to turn into you, which Joey was doing a good job of in my left arm attempt. By having your head down you can get lower to avoid that more easily by getting your head as low as possible. This is also why I was too high on the left arm attempt. 1. because Joey was turning into me 2. lack of muscle memory in that arm.
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Thanks that makes sense, most of the folks at my gym try and use a high elbow escape which might be why it's working for me. Plus I don't have a lot of high level partners to try and vet stuff against. I do like to keep my choking arm hand under the scapula to help prevent the turn in as well. Thanks for the feed back! Gonna keep on working at it.
Titles are wild today
Can't find a good one lol
The intro haha
đ
Hey bro I keep getting stuck in peoples mount and guard, I need help.

Hey Good afternoon Jordan! I just started my blue belt journey. I was going to ask what's a realistic time frame into getting a blue belt? I train 2 hours a day everyday
With that much training you could probably get it in a year to a year a half :)
Give him the chair!
