Lived in SoCal 46 years before relocating to help out my parents 12 years ago. I love Knott's... I know you enjoy Halloween Horror Nights at Universal BUT you should REALLY try and revisit Knott's this year for the 50th Anniversary of Knott's Scary Farm's Halloween Haunt. It is the original, it is the BEST! I would encourage you to do to Pre-Scare Boofet and the Fright Lane Pass. My opinion it BLOWS Universal away!!! I had been to all of them until I moved away and have been back to visit 3 times since. I am flying out again this year to attend the 50th!

  • @Maccalover64
    @Maccalover64 Před rokem +34

I’ve lived in So Cal my entire life and grew up going to Knott’s Berry Farm. So happy to see you’re first visit!!!
Another Walt Disney/ Walter Knott fun fact: Walt Disney was visiting Knott’s Berry Farm, Pre-Disneyland and really like the Calico Mine ride line queue because the queue was “hidden” or incorporated in the theme of the attraction. So, Walt Disney used that idea for his line queues at Disneyland.
Knott’s Scary Farm is a must do. If you enjoy Horror Nights at Universal, I think you will enjoy Scary Farm.
FYI… the original Calico Ghost Town is still standing and is a tourist attraction out in the desert.
    Keep up the fun work.

I LOVE this theme! We get to see in "real" time seasoned theme park goers navigate a new theme park. This is more like how the rest of us would visit a park, but now we can see it with your know how. I don't know if any of that makes sense...but I applaud this video.

Molly, Alan, and Max! I have posted before about being a mental health therapist and how your videos have been a great part of my self-care routine, but I wanted to share further that recently I've been going through a lot of my own personal pain of grief and loss and relationship changes as well as increased anxiety and depression. Your videos and especially this one today continue to provide comfort, humor, community, connection, etc as I go through a difficult time. Yes I go to my own therapy and have other supports but I keep coming back to you guys consistently for a boost in the midst of so much and I just can't tell you how much your channel, your realness, in your all's friendship together means to me! This was hilarious to me, as someone who grew up in THIS orange county. My HS (in the 90s, idk about now) had a "seniors" costume breakfast every year around Halloween in the Knotts park.
We didn't get to go in the park for more than the senior class pic, and head back to school after the pancake brekkie and the photo opp; but it's always cool to see an empty park.
The Knotts farm, and then the park, was part of our education, because it was farm land for a long time (the whole OC)
I always forget this isn't a big park for folks outside of SoCal, but their Knotts scary farm is excellent!

  • @tabithaschwarzenbach6124

I absolutely love the way ya'll interact with each other its a beautiful thing to have relationships like that, also Alan and his facts were so awesome and Max trying to do it later, made me giggle! I'll be at Knotts in September, thanks for showing me around!

Grew up going to Knott's Berry Farm almost every year, it's a fun family park when you are looking for something different and tbh much easier to get access to for a quick trip. Our favorite syrup over all is the boysenberry syrup. We order direct from the company now because we don't have it sold locally anymore. Worth the wait every time!

I visited Knotts many many times way back in 75-88 and it was so much different back before all of the rollercoasters took over, before camp snoopy was even there. My favorite rides were the calico mine train, the log ride and the stagecoach. I love every inch of the ghost town and we used to get a root beer in the calico saloon and sit upstairs and enjoyed a can-can show on the stage below us. Such great memories from a time long ago. Nothing beats Mrs Knotts chicken and boysenberry pie! Ty for taking us with you 😊 I loved your mam horseshoe 🥰

I remember the Mine Ride, we all enjoyed that, but my favorite ride was on a trail ride on horseback through the park. Hi Molly, another great video! Suggestion for a new place to explore:
King Richard’s Faire up here in New England. (Location: Carver, MA.) It’s a fully-immersive renaissance faire (like permanent structures set in the woods.) It’s only open for a short time on weekends between Labor Day and Halloween, but you COULD try to couple it with a trip up to Lincoln, NH in mid-September for the Scottish Highland Games. (The locations are about a 3-4 hour drive apart.) If you’ve never been to New England in the fall, it’s as spectacular as it sounds. And I’d be happy to help you obtain more information if this appeals to you. Cheers! ❤

Since you mention going to Knott's Scary Farm for their Halloween event, the front of line pass for the rides and mazes is a good value and time saver imo as well. I love Knott's! I used to be one of the scare actors for Knott's Scary Farm (which is better than anything Universal Hollywood has ever done). BTW the boysenberry is the theme (sorry Molly) since Mr. Boysen created it and gave the seeds to Mr. Walter Knott to develop them long term, leading to a new berry crop. This is why there are so many boysenberry drinks and snacks at Knott's. The amusement park began when the line for the chicken dinners kept growing. Mr. Knott started a stunt/shooting show that just kept growing...along with the line for the chicken dinners. :)

It is a blast for those who witness Knott's Berry Farm for the first time. There is so much history in our CA oldest amusement park. I did notice that the jokes were a bit off. "Berry" and "Beary" that. Sounded like my middle older brother. EEK. Do go back for Knott's Scary Farm. When my husband and I were dating in 1976, right after we remet, went to the first Knott's Scary Farm. Scared the living daylight out of me. We went back in 1977, the second Knott's Scary Farm. I was walking ahead of my him. When I turned around, there was this monster looking figure right behind me. All he could do was laugh at me when I screamed.

Growing up in California Knotts, Disneyland and Six Flags were always places I went. Knotts & Disneyland are my two favorite places to go. Usually when I come back home to California I will go to Disneyland and Knotts since they are not too far from each other. Over the years it has changed.. Knotts scary farm is so much fun and a must see!
I had the potatoes as well and thought they were pretty decent. I do think sour cream would have been nice too. My son had the lemonade, but I had the Boysenberry margarita - and OH MY that was good.
Hang time was a pretty rad rollercoaster. The view is incredible. Pony Express is quick, but pretty neat. and the best ride there will always be Ghost Rider!!!!

I grew up in the Anaheim area and got so much nostalgia!! I was about 9 or 10 when Ghostrider opened, and it was the Big Deal. Often it was the cheaper option to go to when my mom and I would do a theme park day. A lot of community events are held there, and a lot of schools do field trips there.

Cedar Fair parks have a platinum season pass that gives you unlimited access to all of their parks. A lot of them have water parks attached and included in your admission (probably not a selling point for Molly, though). The passes are less than $300, so definitely worth it if you plan to go to more than one park. Maybe you guys should consider a road trip to visit some of the other parks. They vary in quality, but they are all fun.
And based on your reaction to the blacksmith, you should definitely check out Dollywood. Not only do they have great rides and theming, but the artisans there are amazing.

I love this video!! One of my favorite parks and to enjoy this "new" experience with these three was really FUN! Some of the videos of the coasters gave me the same thrill as actually being on the ride again. So many great memories of being with friends and family at this wonderful park. Once again, thank you all for another fantastic park experience.

This was a lot of fun! There are so many "local" parks that most of us never give much thought to. I will probably never make it to Knott's Berry Farm, but I love being able to see it alongside you guys!

If you live in or near Ohio, Virginia or Pennsylvania you could visit Cedar Point, Kings Dominion or Dorney Park they're all under the same company as Knott's Berry. Different themes and rides for each park but the characters are the same.

I used to visit Knott's Berry Farm as a kid (50 years ago) when there were no roller coasters. I loved it , the ghost town and old west theme. I even have a picture of me sitting with the prospectors on the bench, the exact same pose as Max. What a fun walk down memory lane.

Love the classics. Remembered the ghost town, mine train and the train around the park also the stagecoach ride. The magic of Knotts is the history. I'm not as excited about the coaster piece. Look forward to visiting Knotts this year after so many years. It's part of my history. And hitting Disneyland as well, of course. Thanks for the video. Almost forgot the replica of independence hall. Very cool.

Awe! I went there with my Dad about 40 years ago! I didn't remember the Peanuts at that time but I could be forgetting. Living on the East Coast, we have the Peanuts characters at Dorney Park in PA. Just went with my 11 year old daughter last Friday. It's a cute park you should visit sometime you are in PA.

There is absolutely zero percent chance that I will ever in my life go to this place but I still watched this entire hour+ video, and not even at 2x speed like I usually watch travel & review videos, because you guys are a constant delight. I agree with everybody who says you should do Dollywood; I've never been and would like to someday so lemme live vicariously through you. I'd also REALLY like to see you three at a renaissance faire because it's guaranteed to be a hilarious disaster. I mean it was fantastic when you did Medieval Times and it would be kinda like that but with the added chaos of everything having escaped out into the wild and also far less structured so probably just nonstop mayhem.
