  • In this video we show you how to wire multiple areas of LED strip lights controlled via wireless RF (radio-frequency).
    You can have several areas controlled using remote / wall controllers, or even via app control.
    Why RF?
    RF is an ideal option, because you do not need to run cabling from the controller to the receivers or between the receivers.
    Why InStyle LED?

      Could probably run wire from the power supply to the receiver. Or if that’s too inconvenient, just run another power supply. Could even be a battery powered one.

    • @InstyleLED
      @InstyleLED  Před 4 lety

      HI There, it depenmds on what dimmer you are using, but in general yes, you can have muktiple strips / panels all controlled from one controller / dimmer.
      The main thing would be to let me know what spec dimmer / system you are looking to use. Unless you mean the type in the video?
      There are several ways to control the panels also, EG> you can either have numerous panels on one receiver so they are all controlled / dimmed together. or you can have a multizone receiver and multizone controller where you can dim / control each panel indivually. All control options are available, they all vary on price dependimg on how much control and how many panels / strips you are looking to control

    I’m making a desk with led lights in, I got the 10meter WiFi kit that works with Alexa, I want two zones, top of desk and bottom of desk which isn’t a problem as I have a splitter cable but would like to control them separately, I’m wondering if I can add another controller of the same brand by using a dc power splitter, would the power supply that came in the kit be ok to do that? As I’m not adding more lights to the kit, I will be using short of 10m anyway, also I was wondering it the
    two separate IR revivers will be controlled only one of the Remotes?
    Is there a WiFi controller that works with voice control that is a single unit that can control strips independently? Any help would be much appreciated, I just can’t seem to get any of the answers online?

    • @InstyleLED
      @InstyleLED  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes!, so if you hit the main on /off switch then all will turn on and all will turn off. However, if you hold the zone number down for 3 seconds,. EG, you hold the number 1 button down, it will turn off just that zone! Then hold button 1 again to turn zone 1 on again. And this is the same for each zone.
      So you can turn on and off individual zones aswell as all of them together. It's a great controller!

      For each location you would need a separate power supply and receiver. 1 set for your TV, another set for your bed. Then pair the receivers together and now they control both the bed and the TV LED strips with 1 remote.

    i'm confused, can you control two different strips of the same brand with one controller? and how do i fit them both together?

    • @InstyleLED
      @InstyleLED  Před 4 lety +3

      Yes you can have a multzione remote controller, so for example, press button 1 and control 1 strip. Press button 2 and control another strip.
      You would need a power supply , receiver and LED strip for each area, then 1 wireless multizone remote.
      You can build the system up so it could be whole rooms,
      So for example you could have 5 strips on one power supply and reciever for your kitchen , then 2 strips on one power supply and reciver for your kitchen ceiling and they acn all be paired to zone 1 (button 1 on the remote)
      Then you can do the same again for another room and pair to button 2.
      So you now have 2 rooms and loads of lights all controlled from 1 remote, easily controlled by pressing button 1 or 2 , or even pressing the buttons in quick sucession to control zones 1 AND 2
      It's really good
