    Uhhhh... maybe next time spend a lil more time explaining how to solder. Did you not use flux? What type of solder wire did you use? What the hell does dry soldering mean? And how is it different from wet soldering? People who watch a video entitled "how to solder blah blah blah" probably dont know how to solder blah blah blah.

    can you tell by looking at a blown out bulb whether its cool white, warm white or daylight. its written 4000k but not sure to buy warm, cool or daylight

  • @Mshighlyfavoured
    @Mshighlyfavoured Před 2 měsíci

    the main question now is: is there 2700k 3000k in cool white or daylight. no one is addressing this. does that mean the lower you go the amber. is the lowest kelvin warm white.

    Hi, I just bought my LED lights and they were working fine but when I woke up the next morning they weren’t on anymore and I tried switching off and disconnecting it but it doesn’t turn on. Tho when I touch the metal tiny dots for colour on the strip, the light in that area comes on with that colour and when I stop touching it the light goes off

    • @ChiomaEgbejiogu

    • @InstyleLED
      @InstyleLED Před 5 měsíci

      The power supply will flash if it is overloaded (there is more wattage of LED connected than it is rated for) we allow for a 10% headroom as this will help keep the power supplies running efficiently for 5 years of continuous use.

    What if you strip turns on as you are trying to plug it in but once the usb is plugged in all the way the strip doesnt come on

    • @InstyleLED
      @InstyleLED Před 5 měsíci

      If they are only coming in for a split second it sounds like it might be static causing the lights to turn on, once you have connected them the usb isn’t powerful enough to power the lights.

    Replaced my LED strip lights after the old ones went dead with the same brand and (seemingly) the same model. Because I thought everything was the same, I didn’t bother replacing the power adapter and was so stumped when only the red lights were working and it seemed super dim. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO AND FOR SOLVING MY PROBLEM, YOU ARE A HERO AND A SAINT

  • @vadimnesen8060

    Do they burn out one by one or do they dim as well? Like burn out and get less bright..?

    • @InstyleLED
      @InstyleLED Před 5 měsíci

      They will get extremely hot and burn out randomly, you will get random sections fail to turn on as they burn out, they will get extremely bright and hot first.

    But is it safe to connect a 8v adapter to a 12v led strip?

    • @InstyleLED
      @InstyleLED Před 5 měsíci

      A 8v power supply wouldn’t power 12v LED, it’s not advised to connect anything but the matching voltage to the led strip.

    /me Watches OP cut out a *whole* segment of led tape in horror. Looks at my reel of led tape and finds missing resistor position. Checks a working segment's equivalent smd resistor position value, and takes note. Walks over to parts donor boards, searching for matching redistor value of equivalent size. Finds one, salvages and solders it to tape's missing resistor pads. Tests and jumps in glee at working unbutchered led tape.

    As all those options are wired in parallel, am I right to assume the length limit is determined by the amp capacity of the copper strips in the lights? I'm wondering whether I can make use of a 50v supply to power four 12v led strips wired in SERIES to form a voltage divider into 4 equal ~12 volt runs (power is ample and the copper strips are only then carrying the same amperage as the leds would drain in parallel from a 12v supply).
