Consider this about Death Valley at Clemson University. The town of Clemson, SC has a population of 17,681 persons. The student body of Clemson University is around 26,000 including grad students. The stadium seats 81,500 persons. There are only 4 cities in South Carolina with populations of over 81,500. So, on the 6-7 Saturdays a year when there are home football games in Death Valley, the small town of Clemson becomes the 5th largest municipality in the state.

Louisville at 61,000 is deceptive. The stadium is actually much larger than other stadiums that hold similar numbers. If they replaced 1/3 of the chairs with bench seating it could probably hold closer to 80,000.

The reason CFB stadiums are not symmetrical is because they add seating as demand grows over decades.
Expansions are done in sections to cover the known demand at the time .
Its expensive, my team (ECU) spent $60 mil 4yrs ago just for a new press box, club level and luxury boxes.

Can you please do the Pack 12 conference? It’s the only power 5 conference that you missed.
Also, Syracuse has to have an enclosure. It’s in upstate New York. It gets incredibly cold and snowy there. Plus they use it for basketball. And it does get loud there and although it only holds 50K but cause it’s enclosed it can sound like 75-80K
The University of Miami stadium hosts several bowl games, hosts an NFL team (Miami Dolphins) and the Miami Hurricanes college team. This ia slso the case with the Pittsburgh university team, they share with NFL teams.

It is at this point I should give my standard disclaimer for British people that while "university" and "college" are used interchangeably to refer to US institutions of higher learning in general, in the name of such an institution they are not: "Boston College" and "Boston University" are two different schools, but "Boston College" is the more famous+prestigious of the two.
You didn't dream up the Arizona Cardinals (formerly in St Louis and before that Chicago.) There's also the Stanford Cardinal -- which is Cardinal, singular, and refers to the color of their uniforms; their mascot is a tree.
I think Duke's field is round like that because it used to have a standard 400m running track around the outside, and when they renovated it, rather than remove the existing stands, they just extended them inwards.
"Bucket seating" does mean individual seats with armrests as opposed to bleachers. Keep in mind the obesity rate in america, though; bleachers are a lot more comfortable for some people as the armrests can push in on your thighs if you're big. Personally I've weighed as much as 347 lbs -- 157.4 kg or 24 stone 11 -- and while I've lost 32 lbs (14.5 kg or 2 stone 4) since that peak last February, I'm never going to be *small*; I'm pretty big even without the extra layers of fat, and my goal weight is still 250 lbs (113.4 kg or 17 stone 12) -- which is probably still not small enough to sit comfortably in standard bucket seats.
Pretty sure Clemson's "Death Valley" is named partly just to be intimidating -- and they *have* made the national playoffs several times recently, and I think they even won a couple times in the last 10-15 years. The coach did once *joke* about needing to sacrifice a goat before their next game with Syracuse, after a couple straight seasons where their only regular season loss was to Syracuse, despite Syracuse not being good.
I'm a Carolina Panthers fan but I didn't know they played their first season in Clemson's stadium! It's especially surprising to me because they're currently in Charlotte, North Carolina, but Clemson's in South Carolina. I suppose Charlotte is near the border, though; having spent a season actually in South Carolina does help cement their claim to represent both.
And then I got distracted researching something else about Wake Forest while watching the video, so I'll have to finish this comment another time as it's several hours since I started writing.

NC State might look not the best from a computer generation but let me tell you it’s something special when you’re in the stadium. The environment is one of the loudest and most unified in college football. It’s not a place you want to be playing away at. Also consider that their football team is continuing to get better and is close to making that break into the top 10 in the country, and a rivalry is beginning to brew in between them and Clemson, as they trade wins for the past couple years. Next year when Clemson shows up at NC State it’s truly going to be special. This rivalry is a friendly one but is becoming a classic with the schools considering how elite they are in the sport. Definitely rate it a good 8/10

It was absurd because I’ve sat at the highway spot no issue at Penn States Beaver Stadium which is higher up and holds more people. It’s just poor design on Memorial Stadiums part if you ask me, I liked the concessions and it had some nice features but if you’re even remotely a “big person” good luck making it up there… I spent the game walking around the stadium exploring and catching glimpses of Clemson destroying SC Gamecocks. I took a work friend who is Clemson fan to the Penn State Whiteout and he had to admit we had the better environment and he came a Penn State fan as his secondary team after Clemson.
