- How to Wire Headlights for Sequential LEDs
We take the Ghozt Sequencers and PowerLEDs, and design our own animations for these Nissan GTR Lightning Bolt Headlights. I show you how to mount the Ghozt Module inside the lights, as well as adding RGB Color Changing LEDs to change the color of the Bolts.
This video is packed full for goodness!
What would you build with these types of parts?

You are the Leonardo DaVinci of LED lights.. I am amazed! My humble thank you Sir! I have completed my 1st set of headlights thanks to your videos.. 06 WRX Sti.. added projector high beams.. demon eyes to all 4 and 4 halos.. Thanks for all the knowledge brother 🙏
One year ago and I'm watching this for the first time. Well 4th time ay the moment.. appreciate your work no matter the electronics.. I may be among your supporters before long if you ever set up patron
I consider myself a craftsman some people say an artist but your work or art is so impressive to me.I am hoping to try your techniques soon for my own light's thanks for your videos because i have learned so much
Dude your amazing. Can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge with us. I’ve been doing headlights since 2002 and if only I had you as a teacher my shit wouldn’t suck and be limited lol. Thanks again my man.
Got to say that's cool, love the video and the results.
Love the video Chris. Hoping to be able to hit you up soon with work on my lights 👍🏻👍🏻
I need to know were to get those rectangular led's!!! Lol part number, web site anything????

Do you have a parts listing for what was used?
I don’t have a list for that build, as it’s stupid complicated and terrible to make a setup exactly like that. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy lol. I have a better option for that build that will be available in a couple more weeks 👍

Hey bro, do you sell any plug n play adapters or connections that will allow the LED strips belowe the headlights as well as the lightining bolt on the headlights of a 2017 run during the day?
I have been sourcing the OEM Headlight connectors for a long time now. Once I have those I’ll make some harnesses that are fully plugnplay that offer a range of different functions 👍
Have you thought about doing lights for cars like Chryslers, challengers, or chargers?
how about for honda hrv headlight.. your masterpiece amaze us..
Any advise on how to add something that can help diffuse light from the leds to make them look more solid and opaque. For a bit of background this would be in a headlamp that is just clear with nothing to diffuse light. 2008 magnum for reference customizing housing for turn signals.
Some guys use the spray to frost window panes. I’ve experienced that actually damaging plastic though when spray too close. In any case, there’s multiple ways, non of which I feel are easy or the “best” way.
I think I have found a way but like you said nothing's easy. I plan to cut some "frosted" plexiglass/acrylic and heating it to the correct shape. Then all that is left is finding an adhesive that can secure it in the light.
Great vid! Love the channel. I have been experimenting with ws2812b LED strips and arduinos to make a sequential light strip for under my tailgate on my truck. Sadly I've been coming into coding issues. Would a ghozt module be more reliable/user friendly? Or should I keep trying to fix my coding error on the arduino?
BLUEFEATHEREDOLIVES I would use a BlueGhozt, which is used to control addressable LEDs, similar to how these Ghozt Sequencers control single color LEDs. Shoot over an email to sales@flyryde.com
@@flyryde thanks for the reply! I'll shoot an email in the morning and describe my setup.
If you need help with some of the Arduino code. I also have underground lighting effects using the 2812b strips and have them tied into my blinkers brake lights and reverse so that when I'm driving I don't have to touch any buttons and it's automatic.. but I'm using a esp8266. And have websever running on it so I can control more effects. Also look into the ws2812fx lib in the Arduino. It has like 50 effects prebuilt in so very easy to just all them and it supports segments so you can split multi effect on same strip. Like when turn signal is on that side blinks . I use one strip and program in 4 to 6 segments for front back left right. And back some I see it in to 3 for better visual like left turn on back the left side will blink the center breaths and right another effect.
@@shawnstone2875 thank you! that sounds like it would be really cool. I'll definitely look into that. You also seem way more qualified in the addressable strips than I am. I've made VU Meters with standby patterns and basic sequential blinker setups. My main problem is trying to make the arduino take priority over reverse lights if the reverse is active while turn signals or brake lights are active. Do you have an email I can contact you at? Maybe I could send you my version of the code?

If I’m adding led lights wired to the turn signal what should I have to worry about?
Drawing too much power from the leds?
Chris where can I buy those leds you said are Korean? I can’t find them on the site
I’ll have em posted soon!
Me either i just got some diode's from china made inserts and i dont like them. They are more or less a projector buld/led that makes a tiny circle on my lens. I need the one's you use on your builds ive searched high and low (online) caint find them any were can you provide a part number please or site????

Awesome! Can u tell us the websites where u buy the LEDs and boards. 🤩

.
Would love to know if the new ghozt plus module I ordered is able to produce the background color in normal mode without having to wire a second strip... have you ever wired a strip in parallel on the data pin on either channel. Say for instance if you want a double row for brightness..
Any suggestions for doing something like this for a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer?
Probably to find a way to use neopixel lights that you can program to have a somewhat similar look 👍
Wish I could pay you to do my headlights like this lol
I want to do my drls of my 2014 is250 same function as those can u help me to find the rigth ones
02:16 What is the name of the white piece and how can I find it?
Love it man. Love the end too!
Thanks Sam 🙏 this one was hard to make man, took way too long. Glad you liked it 👊
Very nice how much is cost the installation?
Hey am new here.
Am from Guyana
How can I purchase the strip lights?
Do you have a RGB strip too for the colors? (Not demon eyes)
we need lights like that on stock headlights
You should do the video how to program it to have such a efect's
I absolutely will be and then continuing to put out additional programming videos for various projects 👍
@@flyryde it will be interesting to watch because you talking a lot of how to install such a component's but where is no any video how to program it ore design, to get desire efect' I thing is has to be more or less like a Arduino where you program it with a pc software for a command to do a specific job
Do you ship to South Africa? I wanted projectors and I couldn't find my car (VW POLO TSI) in the list
Great video! What are you using for the white running light, though? And is it just wired up through the Ghozt module also? Aaand like others have said, these products aren't on your site yet :(
Lol I’m sooo bad, I still haven’t slowed down enough to add those up, hahaha. The white is linked in the video though, they’re Profile Pixel 24” strips wires to an Xchange driver that cuts power to them when it and the Ghozt module gets turn signal voltage.
FlyRyde No worries man. I appreciate the work you're doing for car enthusiasts and DIYers! And thanks for the info!

How would one get a custom light diffuser, such as the lighting bolt but to suit my needs?
You can make something cheesy out of acrylic, and frost it with spray or sandblasting, or you can try something similar, but it always looks homemade in person. Other than that, you can 3D print if you’re super techy like that.
@@flyryde alright man, thanks for your help!
Josh Davis been wanting to do the same thing to my aftermarket headlights with DRLs. Let me know if you ever find out a way to create diffusers without them looking extremely homemade
@@SanMario95 I had a look at the hardware store and you can get sheets of frosted Perspex that I might cut to shape with a Dremel but I'm still looking around
Do you do all this stuff on your own or do you have other guys helping you? I’d love to work on stuff like this as a side job or hobby but I live in Texas and none of my friends are interested in stuff like this
I just recently had my helper of almost 3 years move on to other things right after I hired Kristen. She’s kickin ass, and a good friend, Ruben, has come in for assembly of some of our in house products that need to be wired up. He’s also helping train Jon, our new intern. Slowly but surely brother, it’s a turtle race.
This stuff is 100% best kept as a side hustle. It can scratch that creative itch you have, and put some extra cash in your pocket in the process 👍
Jay Gatsby where in Texas? I’m in San Antonio and I absolutely love all this type of custom work
Do you know of any aftermarket headlights for an rx8?
I hv an 07 Mercedes cl 550 I would like something more up to date
Hey bro how much would cost me some rear sequential lights for my car..
Do you use 1 module per headlight ?
ive been trying to make my own custom headlights for 6 years. cant find anyone that will make em. and ive wasted probably 12 sets of headlights by now in the process of trying to make my own shit. it gets really old.
Where is the website to get those led?
I just need to have a day where I’m not under the gun to finish up old past due projects. Hopefully this coming Monday?
I qould like to start to practice about sequential and you will be my teacher, that's why I need to know from where you get the boards and LED. Thanks for your answer.
PD: you do a great job broth

that ghozt controller was not cheap at all.
