  • 3 days camping in the Scottish highlands. In total i caught 5 fish, the biggest being 17lb.

    Well mate just wanted to ask what you think about black braid for pike fishing do you think that colour would be off putting?

      No not at all!! I don’t think the colour makes much of a difference apart from if you are fishing a highly pressured water then you might gain a slight edge from trying a lighter coloured braid!

    Nice catch, been wanting to fish here for a while, do you need permission?
    I can only find boat hire info online but can see you're on the bank

      Hi mate, yes you do need permission. If you contact Mark who owns the rights for the loch he will be able to sell you a permit, all the fishing on the loch is managed by him. I was only fishing from the bank overnight as i hired a boat for the two days i was there.
