This is a video on installing amber lights on your grill, in the video I go into how to position them and how to wire the lights to a fuse, if you enjoyed subscribe.
Hell yeah…. great presentation, thanks fellow FJ rat !! ✌🏻
Good super presentation..thank you
Great Well informed video! do you have any links i can access to any of the lights and hardware
Thanks for this
Thank you so much
Thanks for straight to the point install video. Only thing is I got a fj aswell did exactly what you did and they work only thing is when I turn my high beams off they shut off. I’m assuming it has something to do with the fj having one bulb for high and low.
Do yours do the same or are they on when your highs are on too?
You can connect it to the stereo fuse or another fuse that is on constantly while the vehicle is on
I can't properly describe my hatred for crimp connectors, but in this case it's quite easy to illustrate. As those connectors are not watertight, the cables are not marine shrink tubed, and not soldered, they will corrode very fast at the terminals due to galvanic corrosion. Salt will speed up the process but rain and even dew is all it takes. Water will get in, then move around inside the terminals during driving and that works the same way inside a small truck engine bay as it does on the open ocean to a 100k ton hull.
My advice to anyone doing this. Solder and use marine heat shrink tubing to secure against water and salt. If you really can't solder and must crimp, then at least use the shrink tubing to keep the joints dry. And as I have recently installed a similar set of ambers in the exact same location on my Ranger, it's a good idea to toughen the lights against water, salt, and dirt by filling or even just coating the wire entries on the back side of the lights with something like plastidip or epoxy or even silicone. Anything that can keep them dry. They are a clear weak spot for the lights that will be exposed to constant vibration and depending on your location, water and salt.
Where’d you get the lights from??
Hey bro gr8 instructions..one question I'm doing the same to my FJ but how did connect all four wires to the one fuse tie in pulling my dreads trying to figure it out..thanks
My lights came with a harness to a single wire, but you can just tie them all up to one wire, crimp together, and thats it, nothing special to it
The whole purpose to watching your video was to find out "HOW TO MOUNT THEM" Lol.
How did you screw it ( the most important part is missing)
🎉🎉🎉
👍👍👍
Jalisco ???
Link to lights?
You can connect it to the Fog lights fuse? Thank you!
Yes, depends on whether your fog lights are automatic or always on, if they’re always on, then it’s a good option
They are not always on, your turned them on with a switch. That's why I want to put them in that fuse. Is not good option ? I have a Suzuki Jimny 2020
@@victorferrandomarques8074 yea that is a good option, this method doesn't interfere with the existing circuit, so you can connect to wherever you desire.
@@james_gatlin Thank you so much for answering!!
