Thanks man you saved me some money, thought I had to cut the drywall around it..
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
Just did it following your instructions, nothing broke thank you great video!! 👌🏻
Woo! Glad this helped and great to hear it didn't break. Nice job!!
Thank you. I didn't use the tape. Thankfully, nothing cracked while I used the shims and took it off. It was very easy with this tutorial. I really appreciate it.
Love to hear it!! Nice job! Thanks for watching
Thank you so much!! This is so incredibly helpful
You're so very welcome!
Ok you should be wearing leather gloves and sleeves, and face protector, use suction glass holders to gently rock the mirror and it should pop free. Also use fibre reinforced tape.
Sounds like you have done this before haha. The suction cups I don't have nor the tape. All the tools that I used in this video I didn't have to go get for this project, hence the DIY demonstration part. Thanks for the feedback though I'll look into those next time!
@@ColtonCrumpDIY I'm not a glass guy but I've done quite a few (professional paperhanger) and I know better than to even try any more due to the danger factor, lol. I generally recommend my clients use a glass company or tape the crap out of it and try your method of leverage, but yeah that mirror glass will break and a shard of that can ruin your day and life.
Then I lucked out with this one working out so well :)
This mirror is getting Vip treatment lol
1000%
This video just helped me remove a bathroom mirror now in cookeville Tennessee
Update…… we used this same method today to remove the same kind of mirror and it worked perfectly. I’m a new follower now. Do you have a video on how to fix the wall because they put a lot of glue on the wall now it looks crazy 😝
Glad this helped!!! Thanks for subscribing and commenting on the success of this application to you. Now as far as the wall goes, home builders can go crazy and put a ton of glue. Honestly, get a scraper and try to scrape it off. More sheetrock will come off. Then you'll need to patch it. Mud it, let it dry, sand it, texture it, let it dry, then prime and paint.
I would definitely wear gloves
That mirror was not glued on like I glue them onto the walls!!!!!
I bet you do yours so much better and more glue huh?
This is so scary I know someone that had to get stitches because the mirror exploded when she was trying to get it off the wall and a piece lodged into her forehead
Don't do what she did. I'm sorry to hear that.
Very risky. Don't do that, please
Don't do this it is too risky.
I called in two eggs spurts and paid them $100 to do the job. Unfortunately things didn't go to plan and the mirror sheared in two and one of the men lost his best parts ! !
how tf was that mirror attached
With liquid nail adhesive on the back and 2 brackets on the bottom taking the weight.
@@ColtonCrumpDIY why are they installed in such a way that risks shattering the mirror when you remove it
Just how the home builders put it up. It's easy, fast, they meet the requirements to get the home built, pass inspections, and move to the next home. I'm not saying it's a good way to do it. It's just what happens.
