A way I would change this list to take better advantage of Vader's PS is to give Vader swarm tactics instead of predator that way you can get a guaranteed two hit attack in to shed some shields before Vader attacks with his auto crit.
Also fun variation on this list is AC/CM
4x TieAdvanced with accuracy corrector and cluster missiles.
if all four ships can get a decimator in range 2 they can drop it without rolling a single dice. using their cluster missiles+accuracy corrector.
I'm glad it was these 2 lists that faced off against each other. it's tough getting your head round all the rules of a list when you build it yourself let alone when you pick it out of a hat.

Hawk and Bs is wonderful, really brutal. And it has a Hawk, which is one of my favourite ships!
HLCs - immediately after rolling dice any crits get turned to hits. One didn't. Big fan of B Wings so good to see them on the table. In the move before last I would have barrel rolled back rather than focused as I knew Darth would have taken the slight two to the left to avoid the asteroid and keep arc on the HWK. That would have meant he would have landed him in arc of the B Wing at range one.
Berto where did you get the faction maneuver cards that you use in many of your videos?
Is there a ceiling fan near your board or do your movement templates have a cool disco effect on their own? Either way....'Night Fever!'

I want this list to be so much more effective than it is. The two red dice just don't cut it.
Also barrel rolling, you don't have to go the other direction if you can't make it in your first direction. From the rules "if a ship declares a barrel roll action and cannot complete the action in the desired direction, he may choose a different direction or a different action entirely"

Two quick questions: 1.) why did Nymz try to barrel roll when he already had jan ors at range one? There was no benefit from it, he wasn't able to, but he shouldn't have even tried. 2.) Why did Nymz boost instead of barrel roll at 36:00. He could've gotten range 1 and been able to change target lock? Am I seeing the angles wrong?

It's kind of sad that the TIE Advanced fix that everyone wanted lasted about 3 months until it was utterly overpowered by Torpedo scouts.
I flew them a lot in the meantime and even managed my first tournament win with almost exactly the same list used here (VI instead of predator).
Funniest moment - final game in said tournament, my opponent got a little salty, complaining that the AC Tempests were "kind of cheesey" as I destroyed his third (out of 4) TLT Thugs.
What do you reckon now though? with Scouts nerfed, Fairship kind of nerfed - and Palp nerfed, could the solid frame and metronomic accuracy of the AC Tempest make a comeback ?
remember the HWK still has a 360 1 Dice attack too, so doesn't get "donughted"
this is late, very late considering, but the hwk doesn't have a turret primary weapon. Its primary is a 1 out of its forward arc...

Cant decide if Swarm tactics, Kanan Jarus, Vectored Thruster OR the Title, Recon spec and no EPT is better.
Bcs if 1 of the B's could shoot @ PS 8 that could mean a LOT

Most of the time we will print off the list for ease of reference and saving space.. we don't often have a lot of room to set up. When we play at tournaments we bring all of the cards though. - Nymz

I think that the AC TIEs shouldn't have gone in for a joust against those B-Wings. Spread out, get behind them, and take advantage of the B-Wing's poor maneuverability and low agility. I play a lot of B-Wings, and I *always* want my opponent to just fly straight at me, because the odds are with the Bs every time (unless it's triple jumps). Man, I love HLC and FCS... O_O;
Nymz, I think you were either way tired, way over thought Berto's moves, or both. Twice in a row o feel you should have done one back maneuvers at the end and twice you went for twos and bumped. Vader without actions is like Soontir without actions and should be avoided at all costs. At that point, you wouldn't even have to give up a range 1 shot on the B because he couldn't move far enough to overcome your boost action. Hindsight is 20/20, so I think the big takeaway from this is Nymz should take a nap before any more matches. lol
