- This is a simple procedure that should work for most cars though it'll vary depending on the type of bracket your car uses.

I have not done the license plate, but I did use that same style double sided heavy duty 3m tape on a rear wing for my hatchback. It is still secured after this cold winter, hail, rain, multiple car washs and has not moved at all.
I would add more blocks or s bigger block for more surface area.
Yeah the 3M auto tape is amazing. Mine is still secured and holding up well. I'm not too worried about it anymore. I suppose in a few years I might pull it off and reapply new tape.
great video and information
Thanks!!
REallly cool Ryan ! wonder how well that tape sticks below -0 F* temps especiallly autuomated car washes in cold temps. I'm sure if both surfaces are cleaned well with rubbing alcohol Im sure it will hold up well in the warmer months! Nice find Ryan and well presemted buddy!
Funny thing Is I just looked and it is supposed to be fine down to -40F!! That's even good for your neck of the woods lol. I hope it stays. I'm closely monitoring it because the last thing I want to do is buy a new plate because this one fell off lol
Wow Ryan, -40F? thats great !@@RDsRCReviews
Your way looks good too but for me I wouldn't want to have to worry about it falling off. My new van didn't come with holes in the bumper but I screwed the plates on anyway and if I ever sell it, I would just sand the holes and use a little body filler and touch up paint.
Yeah that's my worry as well Greg. I'm going to be closely watching it and I may end up drilling holes but I'm not sure how to get a nut on the backside for the bolt. I don't feel like pulling off the bumper lol
A link to the plate frame ?
@@JohnSmith-tr8yr it came with my car when I bought it used. You should be able to find it online. Try FCPEuro.
I'm sorry but i would be afraid of it failing off due to inclimate weather!!😬🤔🤔😬🤔
So far I've had no issues. It's the same adhesive that is used to hold the window vents on my car
