  • Front Plate Attachment Method with NO DRILLING!
    Don't drill holes in your new car to attach that front plate. This video shows a quick, easy, simple, secure, and inexpensive method that's worked for me multiple times and never fallen off. Rain and wind, car washes, or highway driving won't make it lose its grip.
    Leave a comment if you have a better method. Would love to hear your input and what you think about my method. It worked for three years on the Mustang and almost four years on the Escape. Cost me about $3.00 for the velcro. Can't beat it with a stick.
    Thanks for watching. Leave a comment. LIKE and SHARE if you wish. And don't forget to SUBSCRIBE for notification when I upload a new video.
    See you next time!

    But ..With Velcro anybody could just come up and swipe it off if they notice that you don’t actually have it screwed to the car. I honestly think that in a state that requires a front license plate you may as well drill the front of your car because you are going to get stopped at some point whether you’re speeding or whether you run a light by accident and you’re gonna get fined on top of whatever they stop you for because you don’t have a properly installed front plate. And Velcro overtime is gonna give out it’s not meant to be used out the weather, heat, Etc.

    Anyone take a vehicle through a car wash with this sticky back velcro? I would not trust it. And if the brush pulls off the plate or bracket, the damage done will be a lot worse than a few holes in a bumper. (You can plug those holes if needed)

    • @MagnumVideos
      @MagnumVideos  Před rokem

      Mine have been through the car wash at least 50 times and never any issues. And even if it did pull it off, I highly doubt there would be ANY damage since the Velcro is stuck to the bumper and not attached with a screw. It has worked great for me on the last two cars.

    I like your resourcefulness but you are better off drilling holes. They are, of course, completely hidden by the OEM plate bumper mount on most vehicles. If the person you sell your car to doesn’t want it on anymore (unlikely around here: CA requires them and you *will* be ticketed - not by the cops, but by parking enforcement) you can buy some matching color plugs that snap in and sit flush on the bumper holes so you can’t even see them unless you are looking. Takes 5 seconds. Note that the holes are only 3/8” anyway, same as a .38 pistol bullet or a pen.
