- In this video we take a look at the exclusive Arkham Nights version of the Fortune and Folly Standalone Scenario. And give away a copy in a competition.
We do our best to avoid spoilers and we are selective about what we tell you and show you. We do give away some details on the structure of the design and different modes of play but we steer well clear of any plot or card text. You may also see details from last year’s Arkham Nights exclusive scenario Machinations Through Time.

I would love to go back to the Dreamlands and investigate where the gods all went. Perhaps “An Ecumenical Encounter” would be an apt name.
Great work.
Wished we have the events here in Malaysia.
My scenario would be named "Behind the Eight Ball". It would start in a pool hall in Chicago that is actually a front for a gang headquarters. You would then get caught up in a conflict between the gangs, some of which have ties to the supernatural (including one that is actually led by Mi-gos)
Spoilers!
I would call my scenario 'The Stayaway Cabin', inspired by things like the Evil Dead and a Cabin in the Woods. The investigators would need to locate and destroy an evil possession within the cabin before any of the innocents find it and accidently transform themselves or unleash something worse!
I’d chose: The Shadow of Sutter’s Mill where the investigators are drawn to the old Gold Rush country in California to find an eldrich artifact down in the old abandoned gold mines.
I have completed the collection of all the stand alone. Now it is time to play!
At Dragonmeet, a few of us who were playing in the epic multiplayer games (and a cheeky game of Fortune and Folly afterwards... Ludoquist the shop donated a couple of copies to some lucky players in the epic games) mused on the administration involved in such events, plus the general admin required for playing any Arkham Horror scenario. We decided to seriously [heh] consider writing a fan-made scenario entitled:
"Arkham Admin"
My thoughts for the concept of this scenario was based on a Call of Cthulhu campaign I ran for my RPG buddies for a good while; the players in this campaign were an Arkham-based private detective and his associates. The scenario would be concerned with the day-to-day running of the agency office: filing, answering the phone, talking to potential new clients, making coffee.
I guess you can add this stand-alone multiple times in a campaign, or before any other stand-alone you wanted to play. To not be too meta it would require near-zero set-up - one location, no set-aside cards. It would have to be short (low doom count on a single Agenda card) and have some point to it - i.e. a reward (extra starting resources or cards in hand, for instance) or a penalty (if Agenda is met before the Act).
Writing this, I've now convinced myself this is a good idea. I better get writing!
There could be a sister scenario which features the running of a newspaper office:
"Arkham Chronicle"
How about an „Arkham Chronicle“ campaign, with a scenario about running an Arkham Horror CZcams channel? Bonus player card will be SPAM.
I’d call my scenario “Glaaki’s Servants” about this dark aquatic entity and it’s human spies.
My Scenario would be called Terror Australis: it would be a survival horror challenge with investigators lost in Australia’s desert. Progress in the scenario would lead investigators into Pnakotus, where success would yield fabulous prizes and non-success would introduce a small encounter set of flying polyps which would follow you for the remainder of your campaign
CONGRATULATIONS Nathan! We may have to fight Chaosium for the rights but this is our favourite title. You have 24 hours to email us with an address and we will send you a prize.
@@ArkhamChronicle sent it through yesterday but pinging here in case it went to junk/spam folder
You are all good mate. You prize will be shipped out shortly.
I’d like to see a scenario take us back to Egypt.
Scenario called “ The search for Cleopatra’s needle” - have us travelling up and down the Nile looking for a needle in a haystack - investigators would need to be saved to be able to bring them to the next location. I play pure solo games and being able to end up with more than investigator at the end would be cool :)
As always great videos! Thank you :)
My scenario would be called Arkham by Moonshine ; gadding about Arkham county with a mix of exploring / making connections, then racing between locations under cover of darkness to deliver elicit booze. All the while being pursued by a small army of Feds, heartless mobsters, nefarious cultists and their monstrous allies.
This is a great idea
I just played the first scenario and it was super fun! I have one question, however: other than investigator elimination, is there a way to get clues on the stakeout story card?
Thanks for the video Mr Chronicle. My scenario: The Salt and Vinegar Sacrifices.
LOL
My scenario would be called Bob's dilemma. It will follow Bob's backstory and delve into the underworld :)
My scenario would be called The Tentacles of Doom and it would have TWO tentacles in the chaos bag. Each time you draw the tentacle, you must add one doom to the agenda which may cause the agenda to advance. In campaign mode if you fail the scenario you get an extra tentacle for the rest of your campaign. If you win you get an extra Elder Sign and a special asset card which lets you remove one doom from the agenda if you draw a tentacle.
An extra tentacle for the rest of the campaign... that's... that's inhuman! Wah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
My scenario would be called "The Arkham Chronicles" where the investigators follow the story of The Riddler's many challenges.
3:40 is pure horror...
Nice resume.
My Scenario would be called: The Silver Twilight Lodge Inauguration Night. A Scenario that will be unlocked for all investigators who obtained a membership card during a game of Arkham Horror the Card game.
The Black Pass.
I hope Lita enjoyed her sausage roll.
"Devils in the Details"
An old widow needs the investigators' aid to locate a family heirloom, an antique oil painting lost somewhere in her sprawling French Hill estate.
It must be decades if not centuries old, yet supposedly this painting depicts none other than the investigators yourselves...
+1 mental trauma each for your trouble ;)
