The trick to using Fuze is to pre-place a charge when Noone is there, namely on floors. For instance, drone the objective to see if a vital camping area is clear, then place a charge above it so no one can hear it. Then either re-drone, or push the area to see if you can set it off. Works well with pressure and supressive fire to mask sound aswell.
I feel like when they add the ability to ping gadgets he’ll be even better. Edit: I also forgot to mention that shrapnel screws Fuze a lot. I played Fuze a lot before and after the updates and noticed you take damage from above when using your charges which is kinda dumb.
Well you always got damage when you stood too close to the charge. What I hate is when the nades get stuck in the ceiling and you get damage from them or even kill yourself.
If you move out of the way it won't however, and it can hurt players a floor below too. I actually enjoyed the change personally becuase it made him better, ad long as your just a bit more careful

Mc Chubbz the reason why you take damage is because there is a support beam underneath the floor and some of they get stuck on it
iMrk Godly Ubi changed that a long time ago so that the pucks didn’t get stuck on beams. The new shrapnel changes have made it where you take damage if you’re anywhere near your own cluster charges again, whether you deploy them from above or from a soft wall/barricade.

I’m shooting and getting shot at the whole game. Meanwhile echo mains just chillin behind 3 things and a fuckin deployable shield until it’s too late to do anything.

Don't forget frost all she does is put down the traps and then sit behind a deployable shield

good reason for that too, this video is kinda being dishonest, fuze, even with the best gun in the game, isn't a good operator for most players, and is terrible against actually good players, his gadget takes forever to set up and is very loud, so you can't use it in an "surprise" way, so then you try and use it in the vertical play way, but that requires you to get a lot of map control, and if you're able to do that, you've probably already won the round most of the time in ranked by that point anyway lol, and also because he's a 3 armor, he's too loud to be playable on atk, like you can't sneak at all with him, ever, trust me people, he's terrible, i tested playing him in plat games for a LONG time lol.

I’ve been playing Fuze for years now. I love how I can clear a whole room of utility and get some kills if I’m lucky.
A Winner Same. I’ve been a Fuze main since I got the game during Operation Health and he’s only gotten better with each new season IMO.
Ive been using him as a fallback op in plat... if im struggling to get frags ill use it to get rid of utilities and then laugh meticulously before fragging with his lmg... ima start trying ak

He has the issue that Kapkan had before he was buffed from a 1 speed to a 2 speed, he’s to slow for what his ability is. If he was a 2 speed...... honestly he’d be damn near perfect..... ALSO IF THE FUZES WOULD STOP HURTING ME WHEN THEY GLITCH AND DONT GO DOWN.
It's not even really a glitch, they're going down but with the new shrapnel system, if you're standing near where you set it off, some shrap is gonna come back up at you because it actively targets player models instead of having a random spread

Good wamai players are difficult to get utility past in my opinion, especially when they anchor on a window u really need to get into to plant.

Wamai is my secondary for defense, so i would really like this
I set up on one of the flanks to obj in a space with cover and chokes, anchor behind the cover, use your barbed wire in the chokes for sound audio and once you hear the first rustle, pop up drop them.
Using the magnets for protection.
Its a bit like the sorta pockets lesion players sometimes setup.
Mindset of Thatcher: People don't want to clear ADS and throw a EMP in the middle of the room to easily get a Yokai.
The problem is it’s hard to find where exactly the yokai is. You have to be exactly right both times to get them because you likely already used one to breach. It’s worse if it’s needed against other utility. Like your soft breacher dying before getting the last Evil Eye. Those drone have a fair range that can keep them safe. You can throw an EMP right at the feet of someone hit and still not get the drone. Even if you do, the other one is ready to take it’s place usually and often you don’t see where the stunned one lands meaning after all that, there’s still a drone. It’s not a practical way and more often wastes Thatcher’s utility.

yeah i get where youre coming from, but people do this actually on certain maps like border (where monty plant is *extremely* viable, but even then u can get rid of some of the utility with explosives and flashes (burning magnets and adses)

Fuze has been my main since the very beginning, I don't know why everyone is so serious all the time. I love the guy because he's got the coolest default look in the game. Thanks for the vid it was insightful but I believe in playing who you love as a character no matter how good / bad they supposedly are and how good or bad you are at them. Keep going at it, and one day you'll prove your man is better than a lot of ash mains like I did with my man Fuze. Don't give up on your guy and someday he won't let you down anymore either and people will think you're a god. Play the game the right way, not the toxic way, and for the love of the motherland, have fun.
I’m surprised pros haven’t tried utilizing fuze to more effect in this meta. Defenders being able to hold it down through utility alone seems negligible when it comes to fuze.
in my opinion, it’s too long by putting the cluster , you’ll get called out, wallbanged. but it would be good forcing the defender assuming you get the cluster off, to change position & get picked off.
the problem is, using fuze's gadget and able to make a "play" by them is actually consume much more time than projectile launcher type gadget. compared to ying's, ying's is much more versitale and flexible than fuze's. i mean, deployment of gadget, one deploy per one gadget? and, gap between deployment each of gadget fuze's is actually much bigger than ying's. although, fuze's able to ACTUALLY destroy gadget, the efficiency of deployment gadget fuze's is just not worth it. always remember, disabling > eliminating threat
It’s because you have to play around the Fuze to enable him. Usually need top control plus roam control, to then enable him in his best position to get rid of utility and whatnot. Pengu talks about it more in one of his videos.
@@PlanesAndHoes that statement about top floor sites is only partially true. With castle coming back into the mix fuze is really useful in the sense that you can create murder holes in castled windows that people always seem to forget about.

As a Fuze main, this is also important to remember: the first two charges always go to the left, the third straight in the middle and the fourth one on the right.
So in some situations, maybe a reverse rappel is better and is ALWAYS better to place them horizontally to where you want to hit.

I feel like a good buff would be to add an extra puck to each of his cluster charges which just drops straight down, so that he can clear barbed wire/traps more consistently
Fuze’s charges are actually really consistent, they shoot 5 pucks from left to right, with the third puck always being shot straight ahead
@@Hobokip I know that their pattern is consistent, I'm just saying that none of the pucks directly drop downwards where most doorway/window gadgets are placed. If you place a cluster charge on a window with barbed wire under it, the pucks are gonna shoot over it and into the room. I'm proposing an extra puck that doesn't go as far outwards, so that it's guaranteed to blow up everything directly under the window. Instead, they shoot outward like you said, so they have to bounce off of something or get blocked in order to end up under the window/door. The downside is that this makes it slightly easier for you to kill yourself/teammates but overall I think it'd be a very nice buff that makes him a much stronger utility clearer

Plat 3 Fuze main here and it’s amazing how few teams take a Fuze, easily the best destroyer of utility in the game, the best gun and a real menace if paired with with an op with soft destruction and grenades, or Ying, Gridlock or Finka. Also for new players note the cluster charge strikes diagonally from right to left in a straight line of 5 separate grenades

to make it worst, application and efficiency of fuze's gadget is just worst than ying's. always remember, fuze's = ying's, in term of fundamental/principle of their gadget. deployment of his gadget, one time per gadget? compared to ying's, ying's able to bust through wall/floor and throw of them in relative same time, time gap between each of deployment's

Most defender don’t stay in the room where the hostage is so unless the fuse is stupid they won’t have to deploy it right on top of the hostage.

Fuze has always been one of my fave ops. His loadouts are amazing. The only thing I would point out is that his gadget simply cannot be used in every map. It is a huge downside to him, but I totally understand this design point.
Same could be said of Mira, yet she is undeniably one of the strongest defenders.
Can you do one on Wamai? I feel comfortable with him but I want to know how you play him and get general tips
As a Wamai main I wouldn't put the magnets inside obj since it mostly hurst your team more than the attackers.
Make sure to put them outside the windows and common spots where people throw grenades from
Another tip, use his sheild, hiding behind a shield is amazing, especially when they can't use a ash or Zofia to destroy due to Wamai's gadget
I use him like that as well but I always have a mute and castle with me. Castle to stop line of sight with mute to stop breach charge and wamai to stop ash, zof, kail and nade breaches. You can be surprised how broken it can be without a
Sledge on the attcking team but bring a pulse to c4 castle wall to get a kill is a nice touch on a already good defence.

One of my favorite moments in siege period was when I was holding the flank for my planting teammate as Fuze. My teammate and I were the last ones alive, and after they stuck the plant, they were picked off, making it a 1 v 2. Then I planted a Fuze charge like a Nomad trap or a claymore and ran off-site to safety. On the way back to site the enemy roamers had to pass my Fuze trap and I got both of them, clutching the round. Had I wasted my charges early in the round I wouldn’t have been able to deny the defuse like this. I see Fuze like a Nomad or Gridlock. Great video Flanked 👍

The god himself has descended upon us. He just said once again I use an operator wrong. This just shows the potential of a plat siege player. I think flanked is using the internet wrong.
I came into this video thinking "Fuze is useless, change my mind" and that's exactly what happened! I'm gonna main fuze for a bit now.
Fuze is criminally underrated. If you are attacking Consulate and don't bring Fuze, you deserve to lose those rounds. His ability to ruin Bandit tricking and defense rotates behind the truck (after Thermite opened the garage) by playing in the Piano room is a defense's worse nightmare.

Another strategy I use when playing fuze is to put the defused next to a barricaded window. Put the decider on that window and listen for defusing sounds and when I hear them I activate the device. Or you can go on a drone and watch the defuser
Once had an enemy fuse cluster charge a window, so I rotated to a nearby window where I could see him, popped off a couple shots and got his attention, then rotated back to the window he bombed and used the hole his gadget made to watch for and eventually kill him.
Edit: if you do want to use his clusters to kill, try placing it somewhere and trying to bait an enemy into the area. Once placed there is no time limit to activating it later. Granted you might be dead by that point, but just food for thought.
Drone to the spot your going to fuse, then wait for the perfect moment to use it. Don't just fuse on the closest window to the objective without thinking.
Im curious how much fuze is used in pro league I was asking myself after hearing the reasoning for the latest mid season patch where buck loses frags goyo is nerfed and ying is buffed why the pros just don't use fuze if you ever talk to a pro that might be a question to ask. Im a gold so there is probably a decent reason im not aware of other than speed.

1.you cant expect to have a soft surface to place your fuze charges right next to the utility you need to get rid of
2.you make a crap ton of noise and even more noise with your gadget
3.forget that he has a good gun. a 3 armor is always not gonna be prefered ( and rarely to pros choose operators for their guns, its the utility that matters) =)
IIRC, last time Fuze was significantly used in PL was like 2 years ago. They know about this gadget denial aspect of Fuze for a while now as well.

The two main issues with Fuze is one he's a chunky boy. Not a lot of people like playing 3 armor 1 speed ops. Second his gadget is loud as hell when you place it. Unless you have someone making noise the higher skilled players will hear it and wall bang you or throw a nitro cell at you.
Pro players play a decent amount of gridlock, so while the speed is a bit of a drawback, it's not the reason it's not being played. The real reason is that you can't realistically use the Fuze charges on a lot of the maps due to its noise and the map design. It can be a pocket pick, but then you have an operator with potential that needs to be fulfilled to be useful. Fuze needs to survive a long way to be able to use his charges, since you need the necessary map control. At that point you have an operator that if he dies early, he'll be useless. That wouldn't be a problem if the pro league operator lineup on attack wasn't already so limited. You need on maps like clubhouse two hard breachers, thatcher, some soft destruction/nades and usually an iq. You'd have to give up an important slot to get Fuze in.
I think of him more of a vertical playing operator. Open up the floor above one side of site go over the other side fuze it and watch for the rotate
I just got back into R6 and have switched from xbox to pc and I think my favorite thing to do with Fuze is to setup the cluster charge in near a general spot defenders are normally and then as I'm pushing that area if I spot an opponent I can back off activate the charge and then let the opponent decide if they want to die to my gun or my gadget.
Also, I think the high quality content made on this channel kept me close to seige while I was taking time away from the game. Keep up the awesome work!

Hi flanked I just wanted to mention in the clip on bank if u where a ash say for arguments sake u would of run through the door quicker therefore taking less damage which is why all armour cancels each other out
nope 2 speed is slower than 3 speed but they take the same amount of bullets to down/kill(say for a few weapons) it is objectively worse. 3 armors are more balanced but it isnt an exact 1 for 1 on speed and armor, so keep this in mind
So much of this makes sense. I use Fuse alot and always trigger the fuses within the first 60 seconds. He's right (Of course)... you should wait longer when the defenders are closer to the OBJ. I'll definitely try these tips. I'm also changing the primary weapon to the AK12 (I've been using the larger primary weapon with the 100 round clip). Thanks for the advice and tips! Awesome video! You can also use clusters as a distraction, ex that moxie in one of his clips was checking the room because of the cluster, he could have set the first one up and moved around them to draw one away from their original area and attack them from a completely different angle

something important to remember! His charge goes in the same pattern every time, 5 total, from left to right! Knowing the pattern can be helpful when trying to hit specific targets inside the room

Just something not many people realize is that breach charges and cluster charges alike are many ways to divert people so you can make a sneaky flank. Putting a cluster on a wall and or floor then making your way around the object for your push you can use the cluster to funnel defenders into a flank. That’s where I find fuse most helpful. He also excels in defuse denial.
I've been an avid Fuze main and I 100% agree with this vid! He brings so much to the table! And something he didn't mention in the vid is how effective the cluster charge breaching charge combo is. You just pop the fuze and blow the hatch or window while his nades are exploding! My best op by far and my favorite forever!

I'm sure he meant as a active flank watch. Gridlock and Nomad can set their gadgets and for the most part move on until they hear someone in pain or hear the air jab go off. So they are more passive. Fuze on the other hand is the one who would stare down a flank until his team says it's clear and he can move.
One of my friends is a Fuze main, and him playing like this is genuinely why we have good takes on certain sites. He brings us a lot of rounds by holding flanks and clearing ways in with a charge, and mid to late round utility clear just amps that up. Fuze is often seen as one of the worst attackers, but it's strictly because people have the worst mindset about him.

*NOTE! Fuze's cluster charges do NOT spit out in random directions. The first goes right, the second goes left, and the last one goes center. This is important to know so that you can attempt to cut someone off from escaping your charges. What direction you're facing when you deploy on a floor above someone for example...matters.

I tend to run Fuze with the shield and pistol (forgot the name) with a silencer. I usually try my best to get the defuser, then I use the Fuze charge to open up the way I'm entering, destroying gadgets and (hopefully if someone is camping site) killing someone. I then throw a smoke and plant. I go out the way I came in and hold the plant.
This strat works best when the bomb is in a room that has either a door or a window right beside it, or near it. But it must be in the same room for the best results.
This video is really a game changer for me. I literally never thought about using Fuze as a utility clearing operator, never thought he was so good at it either. I knew his gun was a beast for a very long time, and Fuze, back in the day when I had only started, was my go to operator. I think I might have to give him another go after this. I just hope the AK-12 isn't nerfed into the ground once (and if) the new operator gets it and people realize just how beastly that gun is.
I like fuse but I have trouble picking him because he’s got a reputation as a noob operator

i think the most consistent mindset you can use while having cluster charges is a 2 to 1 rule. Use 2 for utility and routing and save 1 for later to then to either delay a retake, mask the defuse, trap the defuser, or just get frags.
I love the Fuze final killcams with cluster charge because it shows the perspective of a puck on the other side of the room killing the defender like wtf is the range on it. Lol
"If i was not a 3 armor i would be dead by that point" well you would've gotten into cover more quickly, potentially dodging more bullets, would've swung faster giving you a bigger window to kill the guy. Not really an argument for 3 armors.

I play fuze vertically, using breaching charges to open up the floor so I can shoot into the objective. Also helps with the cluster charges since I can rotate the spread of the grenades to any direction.
I really enjoy this series. I'm guilty of kill hunting with the cluster charges too. But you're right, the cluster charges can be great for taking out utility.
A tip for how the charges actually deploy: there are five charges that go from right to left with the third charge always going straight down

I'm not sure, I'm pretty sure when I tested it I was using it to carpet bomb from the door to the back wall.
You can use it on coastlines master bedroom, beside the end of the couch, to bomb the bathroom and I'm pretty sure I faced the couch when placing it and it went from door to couch, so that'd be right to left.
Then if you go to the back wall of master bedroom, place the fuze on the floor and it sweeps from the left towards the rotation hole, so that anyone in store room gets pushed from the back of store room towards the rotation that gets made behind the bomb, which pushes people out into the area where your team holds the door in kitchen, and if that player stops to fight the guy at the door, they're being chased by the pucks.
And then go through trophy into the circle couch room and put another cluster inside the door leading out to 90, those charges will sweep along the wall that gets reinforced, and it'll clear out all of the batteries and shit there and the door from blue bar into kitchen and then you can rotate down blue stairs and pressure the back of kitchen.
It's a neat pathway from above for shaking up the defence and removing their gear.

I think they should maybe nerf the damage and make it throwable like yings candelas, that imo is the update I want as a fuse main
A lot of people also ignore that the 5 cluster charges are launched following a horizontal line, It is important to precise if you aim a specific spot or want to blew a corridor in its whole length.
Do you think fuse shield is viable? I love the AK12 but bringing a shield is just more fun in my opinion.
His gun is the best, but the recoil pattern just feels off and his gun sounds wierd. Idk plus a lot of people don’t like the way his acog looks.

I generally use the cluster charge to distract, i plant it above for example, then go to the objective and cluster it while entering. Especially when you are the last op left, they don't expect you to be there. Also use the charge to mask entering a boarded up window or blowing up a hatch. If you time a cluster and an entry charge on a hatch right, it will take some time for the enemy to realize the hatch is open.
lol when he talked about that newbies using fuze it made me realize that i had my best kd wih fuze itself in my old acc he is heavely slept on i use him even in gold lobby and he is good for plant and utility clearnce

The main problem I find with Fuze is that for both the AK12 and his cluster charges the animation to place/reload ends a few frames before it's actually finished so I keep fail reloading or not placing the cluster charge down. I noticed you do it a few times in the clip too. A quick cleanup on both of these and adding an interrupt on the reload like the other weapons have would make him so much nicer to play.
Please can you make a video on the surfing problem on console, I'm so sick of it and ubisoft never do anything about it and there is no console players on CZcams that speak up about it
I think they should buff fuze to give him a higher pick rate by making his cluster charge some what similar to yings where he can either throw it or set it up on a window, wall, floor, etc
