Very good take. I completely agree with you but also, I think he's still with wwe cause he's almost universally hated and gets all kinds of heat. He's almost the perfect heel.

I think that's why everyone wanted to work with the former United States Champion.
The longer I've been a wrestling fan the more I really appreciate someone like Baron Corbin. What he does isn't easy. Constantly having to reinvent yourself, not necessarily always getting to be the "cool" character and having to get all of these different things over, being the butt of the joke. It's an amazing achievement of someone that came from a pure sports background to be known for character work. He also just seems like one of the coolest dudes. So happy for all of his success.

And the guy he retired also came from a sports background and became one of the most entertaining personalities of all time. It's interesting how things work out sometimes. If i could just chill and hang out with any wwe superstars i wanted, it would easily be corbin, the new day, and the o.c.

This interview was short but gave me all the reasons to like this guy. So much respect for him. He is one of WWE’s constants. A guy that can work safely with anyone, and look good doing it.
I love how he was humble when brining up the ratings. He appreciated being part of the segment and then gave Roman his flowers for what he has done. Didnt have to do that. Seems like a good dude
It really sucks that they took away his protected finisher status. No one should have ever kicked out of the End of Days. I really hope this new direction he is going in actually leads to a good pay off for him.

Corbin has always been a good dude. Company guy, does what he's told and tries to make the best of every opportunity he's given. Have always admired the fact that he doesn't care about being the cool heel. His job is to make people hate him and he's damn good at it. He's the definition of understanding the assignment.
I think that Corbin's biggest drawback has always been that he doesn't have the physique that the WWE higher-up's tend to prefer to get a big push. Corbin's build is average, if that but looking at him, he may actually look worse if he had muscles. Some guys like Corbin, Nakamura etc just wouldn't look right with the bodybuilder look. I think that Corbin has always been an underrated talker as well. He has some good trash talk from time to time.
As short as this inter iew was it was a really great interview and Corbin gave great inciteful answers

Corbin is one of those dudes that can pull off different gimmicks, safe worker, makes others look great!! Seems like a chill guy as well. Wish him nothing but the best honestly

I’ve never heard him speak before this (out of character I mean), and boy is he as humble as hell! Excellent speaker too! There’s another guy I’ll be rooting for nothing but good things for. I loved how he spoke about his family, as well as appreciating the opportunities in front of him. All of it, VERY authentically said!
i remember his finisher was a legit finisher that no one kicks out off but it got broken ... wish it stayed as a no kicked out finisher

I don't care what people say and think, I have been saying this even before Constable Corbin, this guy is one of my favorite wrestlers. Underated, mostly overlooked. But Corbin has been just great at whatever he has been given to do.

One of the most underrated guys in WWE history, Ill NEVER forget me boo'ing him for a whole match during an nxt live in houston in like 2016 or 17... man i didnt like him at first but hes won me over more than almost anybody in wrestling history. I want to believe the latest WWE European Tour pushed the company to do something with him, I don't think it was covered a lot but before the show in Paris, the biggest French wrestling CZcamsr encouraged everyone to show as much support as possible for Corbin.
The result ? He got an insane pop (Heck it was comparable to Rollins') and everyone cheered him during his match against Rick Boogs.
You could feel they were switching roles during it since the whole arena was for Corbin, he even ended up winning the match, breaking his losing streak !
After the match he took the time to go to every side of the ring to take a bow and thank the crowd. You could see he was very emotional. I wish him the best, he deserves it.

Baron Corbin is a true professional and so good at being a heel. He's one of the rare cases where I have to remind myself that to support him, I should really be booing him! That's the way of telling the WWE what a great job he is doing... which is pretty much always the case!

Corbin is just like Miz. You love to hate him. But in reality, he is a company man. Looking back, you realize he is just doing his job, very committed to what he is told to do, tries his best to make things work, and doesn't complain.
Corbin gets it. The roster is stacked and not everyone can he on the card. You got people like Becky that cry about it. He just wants to work harder
I'm a girl dad too chris and she is 12. She roasted me hard from 6-10 and stopped after she turned 11. its bittersweet because as much as i miss that banter, man her insults were mean!!!
Personal fan advice for Baron Corbin to improve himself in-ring:
- Your swing around the Ring Post to re-enter the ring from off-sides, please vary it up so that you don't always enter/exit from the same angle.
He keeps entering the ring from the same angle and it gets predictable, which is bad for him as a combatant because it gets TOO predictable.
- Please incorporate more Football moves into your wrestling arsenal, there's got to be more things you can do besides a bog-standard spear.
- Really incorporate your boxing skills into your repertoire. It sucks that we don't get to see what you can do as a boxer in the squared circle. There's really no reason not to. You brag about being a Golden Gloves Boxer. Show, don't tell!
- Your finishers where you swing people around, you're really good at that; find some new moves you can do that swing or spin people around before you slam them.
- You don't have any submission moves in your arsenal that you rely on, that seems to be a major weakness in your game, find something that works for you or something that can exploit the advantages of your large frame.
- You need to learn more kicking moves to effectively utilize your long legs. There's a Black-Belt in Tae Kwon Do already in NXT, you might want to ask her for advice.

@@zackwyatt169 AJ Styles isn't a submission guy either, he still has a 'Go To' Submission move in the "Calf Crusher".
Having 1 or 2 submission move that you regularly go to will help
Well, since Cena couldn't retire Angle (since it was Corbin), then Angle should retire CENA when his time comes.
Angle handed Cena his first loss in 2002, so whenever Cena finally retires, Angle should put him over with a win!
