What a day!
Today i had this 2009 Audi S4 come in. The guy it came from was a bit shady about the sale of the car but i done all of my checks and following the drive in this video and a thorough look over the car it all turnt out to be just fine. Regardless of anything, as soon as i knew i could get my hands on an Audi S4 i think it would've been near on impossible to steer me away from buying it because i was just so excited about driving it!
In the video i show how to check over a car, it goes to show how good these cars really are. It's done 110,000 miles and it looks and feels like it's done half that. These cars are over 300bhp from factory, they're a 4 door saloon and they're Quatto, they really do tick so many boxes! If you're considering buying a B8 Audi S4 and you want to see a review of it, this is quite a good one. My reviews generally come with more of story rather than just a straight up review hence 'Calvin's Car Diary'

120d if you like rwd but audi build quality lovely
IceFIsh 120d has more power and torque aswell but the black edition a3 the look so much nicer I literally cannot decide
That's a really difficult one, personally i'd go for an A3 just because i like how they drive but i'd say out of the 2 the Audi is the less reliable option. They do have quite a few common faults.......
I’ve just bought this exact car fm the video now on 123k and still a beast came across this video by total chance!! Was well amazed when I realised it was my car!

@@luk303 Gotta be careful about the s-tronic gearbox. Can be paying like £3k to get fixed

what is the cca. yearly cost and consumption on yours mate?

@WPRO78 it was 464bhp but I can't remember nm. If I'd had it tuned on premium fuel it would have been just over 480bhp but work paid for fuel and I couldn't claim for premium grade so had it tuned on standard fuel. 0-60 was 3.72 on draggy and 11.7 at 112mph quarter mile was my best run on the road.

Thinking of getting these or a S5 with this engine. Very responsive car after test driving one plus great tuning potential making them quicker than the RS version 4.2 V8.

I have the B8 S4 manual. I would suggest getting manual, but it is down to preference really. The DSG is very good, but costly to have repaired. Around 2-3k. Manual has no issues. I am tuned to 485hp, and it's holding this on the stock clutch.
Great review Calvin... I´m going to buy this one too in red or white colour... First I thought of buying 2.0 TFSI but I turned into buying V6 3.0 TFSI... I hope it´s gonna be a better choice, isn´t it??? Petr from Czech, Europe...

How much are these worth
The engine on these are very very tuneable
my S3 (I appreciate its a different engine) was 261bhp, now 323bhp with a light remap and a couple of breathing mods. Amazing performance for the money and I'd happily have an S4 with similar mods to take it to 400bhp. In fact I wouldn't even think twice about doing it, absolutely changed the car.

last week i was driving a 2010 Honda Civic Type S, i remember doing that thinking it's a cool second car, not too sure what insurance would be like though, apparently they're not too bad.......

Great review you should post more I drive a modified s5 fast back pushing 375 full miltech exhaust with air s flo carbon air filter in take s tronic returns 35 to the gallon at 85 on the motorway floor it returns 22 performance naught to sixty is 3,7 seconds wouldn’t sell it for anything a practical family car that can turn insane

I have the b7 s4 which shares the r8 4.2 v8 and I love it ,I have the estate one so can be practical too

@@CalvinsCarDiary The most silly part is that the S4 seats actually where optional. Almost like saying you can have the S4, but the V6 TFSI engine is optional. However, awesome car!

ExtremeEn3rgy b8 is the platform b8.5 was 2013 to 2017 I believe. 2018 is B9 turbocharged. B8 and B8.5 Supercharged.

No, you don't lol. These cars are pretty impossible to tuned that high as they heat soak and pull timing. There's very few of these in the world over 530bhp.
