- Moving the widebeam again. In this video we show how we cope with water by using our van and a massive tank to transport the water directly into the boat.
We use this transfer pump amzn.to/3MYKn9H we chose this as it has an excellent transfer rate for the need and reasonably priced.
We move the Boat from Kibworth to Newton Harcourt and you will see just how tight it gets going under the bridges.

Great idea having that water tank in the back of your truck. It must save you a lot of trips boating to a water point and allow you to do an extra laundry when needed.
Enjoyed watching the video, father and son days out on the canal look great. You’re a lucky man.
I seem to have a sudden urge to flog the house and buy a boat. Some tight squeezers with a widebeam it seems…
All the best.
Another lovely video darling 🩷
Lovely cruise indeed. Best wishes
Thank you 👍

Can't help but notice towards the end of this drone footage, as you fly towards yourself and boat, while it looks as though the mooring, is at a wider part of the Canal, your boat appears to be occupying a good half of the available width, what happens when another wide beam passes, appreciate it may be partly parallax error, but that's got to be real tight
Yes it's definitely tight but other wide beams can pass as I know two people with wide beams that passed me when I was there. You do have to be very careful where you moor up. Sometimes this means just going a little bit further than you wanted too.
hello, thanks for sharing all these infos on your channel ! did Collingwood set the 1000L tank under the floor ? I noticed some other builders place it in the bedroom under the bed.
It's under the front bow floor. Directly under the doors forward to the bow
@@Inspiration2022 thanks for the answer 👍🏽
Only found your channel today. Really interesting and enlightening 👍. We are exploring the idea of Widebeam living (offer house is currently up for sale). Our only concern is water, i note your tank is 1000L, how long does that usually last? With a 60' x 12.6" widebeam, is there scope for another tank, maybe another 1000L. Thanks
Hi, my boat is actually 65 ft by 12.6 ft. There are plenty of other places I could put tanks under the beds the main bedroom has a super king so you could really get quite a big tank under there. There is also a spare bedroom so easily another 1,000 l if you so wished under that bed but you've also got the front locker Which would be ideal for a second or fourth tank.
However, I haven't felt the need so far. I can easily go 3 weeks without filling up. We use the water as much as we would do in any house running washing machines and showers twice a day.
I couldn't recommend this lifestyle more and I wish you all the best.
@@Inspiration2022 Thanks Dan for taking the time and detail. Best Wishes to you both!
