  • This video we give you the Wwdebeam boat tour through the entire boat showing you the progress we have made so far. From bow to stern we point out things we have done and things we have to do.
We do have quite a lot more to do to this boat to make it 100% but I think it is coming on quite nicely. It's taken a lot longer than I thought as I thought I would have it done within a year. It is now 2 and 1/2 years on but we are very pleased with what we have done so far.
If you have watch this video thank you so much we really enjoy the comments and support we have had all the way through this build.
If you haven't already please subscribe to our channel like and share.
And we look forward to any further comments and suggestions you have.
    See you soon..

Just discovered your channel. I’ve been an avid narrowboat “follower” over the past 4 years or so. I can’t say enough good things about widebeams simply because they’re comfortable especially during late fall and winter when folks are “cooped” up. You’ve done A LOT of good work, good craftsmanship. Blessed with a young family. Congrats. Between you and I, when all is said and done … at the end of a long day… it’s a warm cozy place to call home where one can rest … away from the wind and rain. 👍🛥️

What? No window trim? Says me who has non either. It's always the last thing to be done and it seems to take quite a while to complete when you do it yourself. You have accomplished a lot in a short amount of time. It looks great.

Hi I’ve just started watching. I love the look of a wide beam, are you restricted much for
    cruising?

Yes, a little bit but still I can get quite a lot of the network. For me the choice was to have more room and sacrifice a little on where I can go. And I'm glad I made that sacrifice to be honest. Are you a boater or thinking of becoming one?

I've seen quite a few boats now, yours is cool. No one ever mentions internet, how does that work? Obviously you are managing to make videos for your CZcams, do you need to pop into the nearest internet cafe or do you have something else?

I'm about to upload a video about this subject. So watch out for that.
I have great 5G and 4G signal and my signal strength can be up to a gigabyte a second in some places, but quite often. It's well over 100 megabytes a second so plenty adequate for running everything on the boat. I have internet enabled thermostats light switches, smoke alarms and cameras that I can connect to anywhere around the world and I do quite often. So I needed to find a good solution for the internet. Are you a better or thinking of becoming one?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me so soon. At the moment I have no boat. For the last 12-18 months I've been considering a change, I've looked at van conversions, old buses, plot of land with a yurt! Lol! So many options out there. Most too small (vans/narrow boat) or too remote (yurt). Then I found the widebeams, mobile, spacious and like yours elegant and versatile. But you know, lol, you gota have tinternet lol!

Have you ever had issues getting under bridges on the lower half of england's widebeam canals? I am wondering if i should have my boat build lower the height of my widebeam? I'm going to be a continuous cruiser on up and down river lee and grand union mainly

Not had an issue so far but saying that it's always tight on the sides because of the width of the boat.
It teaches you to be a good boat handler very quickly. Especially when you've just painted it.

What size Webasto heater do yoh have?

    • @Inspiration2022
      @Inspiration2022  Před 5 měsíci

      I fitted a webasto top c 5kw. It's done a great job.
I got it. Refurbished so a bit cheaper than buying new and it's ran very well.

@@Inspiration2022 I'm thinking of doing the same. All my rads are in plumbed back to the engine room. I made an enquiry with a local firm and they started saying I may need an 8kw? The thing is, they need to work hard to keep them from sooting up. My boat is 60 ft x 10ft and I think 5kw should be fine, only one bedroom. You're doing a great job. I started mine in 2021, sailaway from ABC Boats at Boston, only a few bits left to do now.
