Watch Siya Masuku's old days. Damn he is greatness.

That's how you ref scrums. We need to acknowledge just how good the refereeing was for that match. He was fair and willing to make hard calls and change rulings if he saw on replay he got it wrong. Lots if scrums and lots of hall in play. Excellent ref!

He is a great ref. For the last 10 years. Pity he is retiring.

I loved the game. It breaks my heart to see how beautifull this game is with a legitimate scrum in it. How world rugby has raped our beautiful game with their ridiculous anti-scrum views. Grant Williams and Masuko were brilliant

It is insanity. There is no evidence that reducing scrums will bring more supporters. Fact is this year in Super Rugby and the URC the average game had almost eight tries. If eight tries is not good enough then I don't know what these people want. Leagues are seeing record viewerships and attendance, same for the World Cup but it is somehow not good enough. The World Cup was the seventh most attended event in sport history. Only soccer world cups, and summier Olympics had more attendance. Looking at viewership it was the fifth most watched event in sports history. I don't understand why they want to change something that ain't broke.
Like you mentioned Grant and Masuku were brilliant and I would like to add Venter. He had his best game of the season. It's about time the Sharks put in a performance like that.

Rugby would be better off without WR. They probably paying themselves big salaries so they feel “they have to do something” to earn it. Ruining the game we love.

The New Zealand rugby head of high performance said on a show that they push these law changes because it suits their style of rugby. He said since the SA teams left Super Rugby their players don't get to play against setpiece orientated teams which is a problem for them when they play for the All Blacks. The law changes is not to stop South Africa, but to help the All Blacks. As shocking as that sounds, that is what their head of high performance said. So yes the Kiwi's know they are screwed, and now the rugby laws must change to help them to stay relevant. It is insane.
There is something we are not thinking about and nobody is mentioning this. The new law changes is going to make rugby change to a specific body type player. The Malherbes and Skeltons will disapear. Soon locks and props will all look like backrowers and backrowers like midfielders. The irony is these tipe of players will be faster and there will be even less gaps in the defensive line. Turnover ball will become very important and with the new law that you may not rol a player it will be almost impossible to clean the jackler. That will lead to teams not wanting to carry the ball because you know the chances of the ball being stolen at the riuck is very high and turnover ball is the most dangerous ball in rugby. Then they will do what Heineke did with the Bulls. You kick the ball, set your defensive line and let your opponents play and wait for the turnover to counter attack and score. These laws are going to lead to more kicking.
New Zealand and Australia will benefit because this new style of rugby will allow more rugby league players to corss over to union. That is their main aim if you ask me. They don't want to change rugby into league but they do want to change it into a game which is more suited to league type players. This has nothing to do with new supporters or viewers it is a lie. World Rugby will risk losing supporters in Europe and South Africa just to satisfy New Zealand and Australian rugby because they can't keep up. Sick if you ask me.
They must be careful they want the game to apeal to more league players and supporters in New Zealand and Australian but they might just end up giving league access to more rugby union players from accross the world. I think the league players get more money than union players. The bottom line is this is all driven by the All Blacks and Australians and it has nothing to do with South Africa or viewership or supporter numbers. They are lying to us, it is done to help the All Blacks without concidering the consequences. You see, the All Blacks think they are world rugby and without them rugby wont have a future. They are the most arrogant, dishonest and selfish bunch I have ever seen. They make me starting to like England.

@@wlk2408 New Zeeland supporters crucified me for saying exactly what you wrote down here. And why don't we play super rugby anymore? Because of New Zealand. I watched the game between Leinster and Toulouse. It was a taut game, but it is an example of what rugby will be like in the future: guys running and throwing the ball away in the name of speed and making knock-ons and mistakes that don't make the game more beautifull to watch. Compare this game to the semi-quarter and final in the World Cup. We had pure rugby played with strength and a mixture of speed and skill. Now that was beautifull to watch. Nigel Owens condemned World Rugby about the rule change.

Sharks can't make the URC knockouts. Lions need to beat stormers in Cape Town to make it to the quarters. That would be awesome, but I think it's unlikely. So its very likely Lions players will be available for the Wales test. Sharks players will definitely be available
