My paw paw used this in Vietnam, he was in the Military and had to go save a group of guys their helicopter crashed in a village. He was the only person in the chow hall that knew how to man a gun like this. So he hung out the side of a helicopter and mowed down that entire village to get his men back. He's got a medal for helping the Army as a Marine. He became a Drill Instructor at Parris Island after the war. Man this is badass. My paw paw will always be my superhero much respect to all Marines and much love for all the families and friends of loved ones who passed protecting America. ❤️ Thank you

That's mainly because the M60 is basically a retarded MG42 firing NATO rounds while the M240B is just an Americanized Belgian gun
@@user-dy5pm6nm4y they fire the same round, have a similar firing mechanism and receiver construction and feed mech yet the M60 sounds more shrill and unrefined. You can hear more of the mechanics than the 240, where you mostly just hear the round firing.
Mostly because the M60 was always jamming.

M60 machine gun is based upon an FG42 paratrooper assault rifle.

One of our army guys who used the M60 many years ago used to put some sardine cans somewhere on the feeding mechanism so that it will spray properly. And it worked really well.
