Damn, I am pretty happy that I was born with a pretty good jaw and or ramus since I was young, it was always protruding out and I think girls liked me more because of that.
My friends ramus is long af, but his gonial angle is still like 130 degrees. Long ramus doesn’t mean lower angle. Also angle is subjective when you look into it. For me, I have a long ramus , but my angle is like 120-125. But it’s because my ramus isn’t straight. My mandible is straight af but my ramus isn’t , therefore my angle is wider. Downward growth is what you don’t want.
Is there a way to fix it without surgery?

Genetics. My Great grandfather always had a big jaw, he passed those genetics to some of his kids and most of his grandkids.

@@pifre3051 even tho I don't feel attractive all the time I'm aware of it most of the time. So I feel like a lot of people focus too much on their flaws rather than their strong points. So maybe that's the reason you don't see a lot of attractive people being grateful for it, but I'm sure a lot of them mostly are.

Chewing gum and mewing when you’re young is the best thing you can do but chew in a way where both sides of your massameter muscles are being used and the tmj joint doesn’t get fused off in worst case scenario or damaged

Measure your philtrum-chin ratio. If your chin is 2-2.5 times longer than your philtrum then your fine.

Nope. A longer ramus means a more square result of the angle, it pops out way more from the side and front view. Conclusion.. the longer ramus means a more noticable jawline, the short ramus is the " almost " jawline 😉

one of my ramus is significantly longer compared to the other because my jaw is assymetric to one side since i chew and sleep on this side. how can i fix this?
Start chewing on weaker side, it will take more time but it helps, my right side was weaker till i figured out why, till 18 i was chewing on my left side, my left is more defined while right look weak now it's almost a year and it's almost same as my left side not completely tho but it will take more time. Dont over chew and cause tmj problems.

you can increase the length of the ramus somewhat by chewing hard mastic gum. Masseter size heavily correlates to ramus length.

In the side profile, As long as the lowest point of ramus undercuts the lower lip then you are fine. Ramus definition is way more important than ramus length.

@Knight btw, mewing doesn’t work past a certain age when your jaw is done developing . Being 20+ years old, that won’t work. Either lose fat to show jaw, if you already have good jaw genetics, or get surgery. No other ways. Mewing may work for when you’re young.
@Knight once you stop mewing or even you don’t, you don’t gain a huge improvement. All your doing is just strengthening you jaw muscle, which really won’t make any significant improvement. You can’t create a strong jaw that way. Surgery is the only option

Your mandible might be short, and you may have a slightly recessed maxilla. I would look into double jaw surgery, moving both forward and upward could double your looks.

Wow I just realized from this that my ramus was average or just shy of average so thats ok, but my mandible turned out 2-3cm shorter than average. I'm mewing to improve my facial structure but even if I do succeed in making my gonial angle more narrow, I don't think it'll drastically give the illusion of a stronger jawline given how short my mandible is 🥲... Anyway good video! I've realized my shortcomings and will try to compensate for that
