Athlon Heras and Ares at 600 yards

- In this video I am getting ready for a match, and I bring along the Heras 15-60 by Athlon. You will be able to see through the scope at 600 yards and we also look at the Ares 15-60. Both scopes are very nice. The Ares scope would be the one I have the most experience with. Tell me what you think!
Mike I appreciate you showing us the Heras I mentioned if you could I wanted to see if it’s as good as the ares as far as glass. From the video it looks like there close and my intention is to mount it on a br 22lr so I think the Heras would be just as effective at 50 yards Anyways thank you for doing that.

One fellow bought the ares at our club, and four others followed . I really like this scope . Mike, I bought a mirage cap for mine from Kreative solutions . It sharpens the image considerably and cuts much of the mirage at higher magnifications . Beautiful scope . I hate to say it but I like it better than my Cronus

For the price the Heras looks pretty decent. The CA is kind of wild on it though, imo. The Ares on the other hand looks amazing. I have the 4.5-30 version and love it. Might have to pick up a 15-60 one some time soon.

I have an Athlon Ares and when the rifle is sweeping left or right the view appear to be a wave/ rolling affect. This make me feel sea sick. It is like look through antique window. glass. It was sent back to Athlon and they said there was nothing wrong. The other rifle scope i have Arken, Vortex and Leopold do not do this.
When you sweep your rifle left or right is the image flat or like the one I have?
I have 3 of these and sold several. I have not seen this issue. Some types of glass just don't work for us all. I prefer, high end Japanese and not so much on the German glass. Scopes are highly individual; it is hard to buy a scope without looking through it. I hope things work out for you, the ones I run a working perfectly. Have a good one.

Where is the match at this weekend ?
Vapor trail 1000 yard range. North Missouri.
It's a 2 day match. We are heading up Friday morning for practice. Saturday and Sunday are the 2 days of the match.
@@mikecornelison9910 Good luck to you and your crew. I'm glad the Ares is working out for you. I ended buying a 2nd one and could not be happier, especially with the reticle, but it's simply an outstanding optic for the money.
