    I might not have mentioned in the past comments that The reason I value your narrated films so much is because I cannot see. I have no vision whatsoever (In that sense of the word!lol).
    I experience ceramic art exclusively through my proprioception and tactile senses. Though I cannot fully imagine the shape/form of your pieces I can definitely relate to the process of creating them. You’ve given me a lot of insight and I am very grateful for that.

    Fantastic film, as ever. I’m always grateful for the narration you provide. I can imagine at times it being a bit tiresome to explain some of the basic terminology as you go. Though I’m sure all who are new to ceramics really appreciate it, and you never know that some of the things that you find commonplace might be totally new to a viewer.
    Take myself for example, I haven’t really been taught about the wadding material you placed in between the jar and lid or about the carbon iron sanding paste you mentioned. Thank you!

    • @floriangadsby
      @floriangadsby  Před rokem +33

      Appreciate all the kind words Ryan. Exactly, many of these videos I try to make so that a new viewer would understand what's going on. I use a paste called 'Chemico' but essentially it's a grease based carbarundom grinding paste. It's a bit of a pain to clean off afterwards but hot soapy water gets rid of it. It makes SUCH a difference and it also grinds away clay, which means if the lid fits a bit too tightly it can be ground to fit perfectly. Thanks for watching!

It was quite disheartening!
