    The vagueness is intentional. For the longest time, GW's approach to lore was to create setting for players to have their own adventures in. The 'false primarch' and the two 'lost' primarchs and the like were all lore openings fore players to insert their personal characters into the lore. Mysteries the GW writers never intended to be 'solved'. For the same reason the Horus heresy took place 10k years earlier, the history of the imperium was intended to be shrouded in myth and legend so players could fill in the gaps with their own adventures.

      @rankcolour8780 Před 3 měsíci +29

      That changed with the novelisation of the Heresy, Now the 2nd and 11th are called out as being terrible calamities, no uncertain terms..
      Dorn was so distressed at the thought of them still being around during the fortification of Terra, he felt the war would have already been over and was glad they were gone (Chamber at the end of memory) and asked Maclador to wipe EVERYONE'S memory about them.
      The Custodians also talk about how they and the Wolves fought the 11th when they turned against the Emperor, implying their destruction(Wolftime).

    • @justinlast2lastharder749
      @justinlast2lastharder749 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@rankcolour8780 That doesn't exactly change things though. The 2nd and 11th were wiped out, but who's to say they aren't in the Warp somewhere? It never actually states at all that the Primarchs were even killed, so who's to say they aren't the original ones to Fall to Chaos? Who's to say they didn't corrupt Erebus? Maybe they've been doing the Alpha Legion thing this whole time and have been bringing about Calamities? Just because there is some lore fleshed out, doesn't mean it has done anything to change the open ended nature of it.

      @rankcolour8780 Před 3 měsíci

      @@justinlast2lastharder749
      Have you read the chamber at the end of memory? Dorn makes it very clear they aren't around. Every time they are referred to in multiple books in past tense and called a tragedy.
      It's entirely different from how it was when GW devised them to enable player agency. That has been replaced with successors. Now any legion can have loyal or traitor descendants after Cawl started slinging geneseed around.
      Until you can find anything from GW even slightly suggesting what you are saying ( there is nothing) we have to go with what they have now changed the lore to.
      That they are gone, and at least one of them turned against the Emperor, fought the Wolves and Custodes and was destroyed.
      No point arguing with me, this is what the official GW authors and loresmiths are telling you. Until they say something else, your ideas are off the table.
      Don't shoot the messenger I don't write the lore.

    the False Primarch being the 11th Primarch is actually cool and plausible theory, all 11 chapters could've been his sons that are integrated into Ultramarines and Imperial Fist after his purge from all memories, regaining back their memories as their primarch returns, that would also explain why the High Lords keep everyone's mouth shut about it, if it's just Badab war prequel, they won't go that far to cover it, the involvement of Custodes would also explain why they can take on a Primarch and 11 Chapters with 5 Bloodlust Chapters, it's freakin Custodes, a shadowkeeper nonetheless
    Chaos Machinations like false Sanguinus is a possibility, but i doubt it would go that far, even without someone like Mephiston, it would be pretty easy for the first or second founding chapters to identify their primarch and since none of them involved here, it makes it all much weirder
    it being a loyalist primarch is unlikely, we have seen how the loyalist primarch react to current imperium, they dislike it, but tearing humanity apart in a new civil war is out of the question, especially people like Vulkan or Corax, Corax literally go out of his way to try to save his sons, do you think he would leave 11 chapters to their deaths?
    yo know, but i can also think of a possibility, what if it's one of Alpha Legion's primarch? we know that one of them died, but one still there, whether it is Alpharius or Omegon, even though in Horus heresy books it is said that the Surviving one are loyal, what if he became dissilusioned with current imperium ? it is very much a possibility

    I have this stupid theory, the False Primarch is a clone of Angron created by Fabius Bile.
    Why Angron? Because his power was the most terrifying of all the Primarchs.
    Angron was an empath, he could take someone's pain, which shows that he was able to manipulate the emotions and feelings of others, he could change someone's feelings and make, for example, space marines from other legions turn against their primarchs. He could make entire worlds become his loyal servants/slaves. He could make people feel unlimited loyalty to him and a desire to serve him.

    I'm betting it's a Thunder Warrior Primarch. There's been a few TW's that have become functionally immortal. He probably turned up and disclosed all what happened on Terra and how Big E killed off his line and that they were next making many disillusioned. Primarch was also a rank in the TW's as seen with Ushotan primarch of the fourth legion. He'd also be taller than a primarus marine so he'd be giant for his time making him more physically imposing as well as more deadly than your bog slandered space marine given his augments and experience and seeing at the Thunder Warriors were more resistant to chaos it makes sense there would be no influence.

Space marines are like wolves Thunder warriors are bears a squad will kill them, but one on one it's an unfair match up. You must also realize that their amour's legs were not powered and yet they could still run, if a space marine's armor de-powers he is immobilize and made to painstakingly crawl.
      "These angels will fight for you now, but one day they'll realize the truth about you they'll see you coming for them too late to stop it. We're all dispensable. Everyone of us that he made for these wars all but you!" - Ushotan to Constantin Valdor. Seem's like 11 chapters got the message.

    I had thought it was odd that the Minotaurs were not included in the Pentarchy of Blood since they are known for brutally and ruthlessly crushing rebel Space Marines such as during the Badab War and Macharian Heresy. Until now learning that the War of the False Primarch which prompted the founding of the Pentarchy of Blood happened in M33 and the Minotaurs weren't founded until M36.

    My theory is that it was actually misspoke and it was all over the prime-arch. Which was the first arch of the Imperial palace that malcador and the emperor put there together. When it was stolen by the 11 chapters, took 11 because it was a rather large arch and they didn't want to hurt their backs, everyone was understandably confused and angry so they sent the 5 chapters to go and get it back. These 5 were able to get it due to their fork lift certifications as a requirement.
    It was all covered up because if knowledge of successful grand theft Imperial arch was known, the imperium would implode or trazyn would just steal even more of them.

    It would have to be a theory where every major chapter would have chosen not to have gotten involved. None listed in the video fit a theory where Mars, Space Wolves, and Imperial fist would have sat it out.
    It could be a rare situation where the inquisition and the high lords genuinely proved their necessity and worth while everyone else was strangly compliant.

    Hear me ou what about a thunder warrior primarch who had enough. Being smart and strong enough to survive or remedy his body, his mind the crusade, the heresy, scouring, black crusades , war of the beast, the apostacy and many more while the adeptus terra was initially hunting him. Like ypu said he could have had enough and tried to reforge the dream of his leige or used it as distraction to get rid of bad actors and plots.

    Yes he did wrong, but how would the siege of terra, the heresy in general and the setting as a whole be different if he didn't screw up and wreck the webway project...? Would the wolves have been able to aid in the defence, would magnus have stayed loyal to help in the defence, how would Big E of interacted with everything, would hawkboy still be alive, preventing the black rage from happening? Sooooo many things could be different if that giant red bellend did as daddy told him

    Honestly best method to cure Angron, produce a clone then transfer mind/soul into it.
    Such a clone being awakened and potentially empowered by the Angron soul after Angron ls descent into a demon prince would have been confused and confusing.

  • @MerryMerryGold
    @MerryMerryGold Před 2 dny

    I personally find the most boring option the most interesting, one expects a primarch or chaos shenannigans to be behind the war of the false primarch. hence why I find it more interesting if it's an alliance of chapters basically beginning to rebuild into a space legion and have the term primarch be pretty much the term for the chapter master that is commander in chief of this pseudo legion

  • @matfhju
    @matfhju Před 3 měsíci

    I relly wuld like a 40K tv series about the false primarch. Since the primarch of the 11 legion is compleatly sencored. It wuld bee dificult to make a series featuring him. So I personally wuld love a false primarch tv series featuring one of the clones of Horus trying to redeem himself and save his fathers dream. Only to have the imperium that he himself is partially responseble fore cruating, chrush him. It wuld be interesting to more or less have the imperium as the willans.

    Though unlikely as it may be, and glad to see you also hinting at it, is that this might be the 2nd legion (at least to me). Reason being that I hold that the 11th legion are the Sons of Malice and were "destroyed" by the High Lords because "wacky extreme cannibalism" and the 2nd was destroyed because...high lord shenanigans I guess. The only other loose thread that I can think of for this being the 2nd legion is that when the high lords want a "space marine (but not chaos yet)" problem solved, the carcharadons seem to show up often (granted they are effective, but they also showed up to slap around Hurron as well in the Badab War)

  • @TearDownGenesis

    Have they listed the 11 chapters that went with the False Primarch? If they are more a certain geneseed then that could hint to perhaps what Primearch it could be.
