    IT WORKED! Thanks for explaining this procedure. We tried the alternate method of running it in and out a few inches but the motors would not sync. Awesome!

    THANK YOU! I was going to buy a new motor but tried your instructions first and VIOLA! Motors are in-sync and slide works perfectly. Thanks for the video!

    Thank you for this very clear video. Turned out I didn't need to resynchronize. I removed about 25 - 30 lbs of pans from the drawer over the end that was hanging up and it started moving normally again.

    So my motor went out yesterday morning and after trying to figure out what was wrong with it I found out that the pug to the motor was pulled out somehow. Well messing with throughout the day with only one motor working and trying to figure out the cause I think I damaged it because now the side of the motor that was working is rubbing on the floor. So the slide out rubs on the floor on that side. I’m not leveled completely so not sure if that the case. I put 2 pieces of paper on the floor and the side where the motor was working yesterday it pushed the paper forward when bringing the slide in and on the other side the slide goes over the paper. I have a shwintek slide out system so not sure if there is a adjust to the slide to have it not rub on the floor. Will the instructions that you just went over on this video help with that?

    Will it hurt to bump my schwintek slide out only a foot while at a gas station to access the bathroom and then close it? I don't need to do this all the time but it would be nice to use my own toilet... Thanks

      Lippert says all the way in or all the way out. Never stop in between.
      However, in your case I think it's doable. I have started resync when fully retracted. Lippert says the opposite. But retracted brings in the fullest stronger wall in contact. Seen that done by a online RV tech. Makes more sense. When we did it their way we popped off the trim.
      So for you, pull over and run it in several inches. When done, fully retract till motors stop. Then extend a couple inches and repeat until the motors stop simultaneously.

      It sounds like it's a motor short circuit, and may need service. Contact your nearest certified service technician to take a look at it. If you have any questions for us, call (262) 205-7064.

    If you hve multiple slides are there multiple slide control boxes, or just one for all slides?

    • @BurlingtonRVSuperstore
      @BurlingtonRVSuperstore  Před 3 lety

      Some models have one control for a door side and a non-door side slide out that extend at the same time. Both are typically not a Schwintek though. We hope this helps! Give us a call if you have any additional questions.

      We are planning on doing that as well. Ours is a 15' two level whole wall slide. A monster. Two racks only (?)
      It's had issues. I realized how vulnerable this makes us. Anxiety every time I have to operate it.

    This Schwintek slide-out product is JUNK to say the least, I have it in a Thor class C, have had it back to the dealer Three times. 95% of the service people don’t have a clue what to do, the first time they wanted to replace the entire slide out room ??&#$@. What the hell. I have seen a slide room replacement before and it never works, it always leaks. I am so disgusted with the lack of knowledge with the service people at RV dealers. (will not call them techs, because there is nothing technical about them). I am speaking about pre-pandemic also I bought me RV 1/2019 and this slide-out issues has messed up several trips for sure.

    @tryinglife7440 Před 3 lety +4

    I can tell you first hand do not take all the screws out of all the outside covers that you have to remove in order to get at the motors. My dealer in Red Deer Alberta wasn’t any help when the main slide shit the bed, I had to call around to other dealers to get help. Can’t recall the dealer in Vernon BC was amazing!
    Back to my point. I had the replacement motor which I had to do because no service techs available to do it. I took all the outside covers off and if it wasn’t for my 6’6” 400 lb best friend catching the slide as it started to fall out. It would have been on the ground 🤣.
    Those dumbass slide systems Should all be recalled and changed out to cable or hydraulic systems because they are junk and one of my biggest complaints about 2012 Voltage fifth wheels which we bought brand new.
    I have plenty more legitimate bitches with Dutchman snd the Voltage line up including some of the worst lines I’ve ever been handed by a dealer.
    So if your thinking of buying a RV in Red Deer Alberta Canada- message me and I’ll give you the “ Which dealer not to buy from and more importantly the why to stay away from those assholes”

      Doesn’t matter what dealer you buy from when it comes to slides 95% of the dealers of these products service people dept. are clueless how to fix them. It is pathetic!

    This is very helpful but the whole situation is absolutely ridiculous. The controller module is typically hidden somewhere and the fact that this video even exists shows that this system is problematic. I like my new Grand Design XLS 23LDE but I paid once for resynching after only 6 months and this is enough to make me trade it in if problems continue. This design is junk!

  • @rvman722
    @rvman722 Před 3 lety +4

    First thing you should do is...stay away from any RV that has a Schwintek system!. If you already have a a rv that has them...SELL IT then buy one that doesnt have them.

    • @spacecadet4876
      @spacecadet4876 Před 10 měsíci

      Right, and right again. We are leaning towards a Vroom replacement. I'm sure they aren't 100% perfect. However, they have to be quite a bit more reliable just based on how robust they are built.
      Not to mention when all else fails, there's a mechanical method to retract the slide.
      How nice it will be not to have anxiety every time.

    Schwinntech is one of the most pointless and worthless systems that was ever used on slide outs!!!
    I won't even touch them.
    (They are even worse than the cable systems.)
